3rd person's POV
"Why not join?" Suzu came in the hokage's office the next morning while holding onto the gift Sakura gave her yesterday happily, only to hear the news that she wasn't allowed to partake the chunnin exams with this year's batch.

"It is for your own safety Suzu."

"... You mean civilians'."

"And that-" Suzu did not hear the rest of his sentence and stormed out of the room, holding the pink stuffed rabbit close to her chest as she sat outside of the building, puffing her cheeks out of anger and sadness.

"Hey midget, watcha doin looking depressed down there?" Looking up, she sees Anko whom had her hands on her hips with a questioning look on her face as she stared at her.

"Chunnin exams.." Anko managed to hear Suzu's mumbling who once again buried her face on the back of her stuffed animal.

"Ah yeah- I was told of that. Now that you mention it, I was given a task to watch over you during the chunnin exams, a little side job I suppose." seeing that the blue haired girl still hid her face on her stuffed rabbit, Anko sighed before dragging the said girl by her collar, careful not to make skin contact.

"Come on, some sweets might cheer you up- my treat."

The purple haired woman stared at the girl infront of her who'd been scarfing down dangos one after another, surprised by her appetite.

"You're gonna get toothaches or whatever, you know that- right?" Suzu ignored Anko and continued to eat the dangos on her plate, asking for another one.

"Ah who cares--not like I cared for mine!" shrugging, Anko began to dig in as well, the people in the shop staring at the two whom looked like they were having a dango eating challenge, piles and piles of dango sticks stacking up beside them.

Suzu's POV
"Ugh, my stomach hurts like hell."

Nodding at her statement, we sat at the bench just outside the dango shop with cherry the bunny sitting on my lap, my stomach full because I had eaten almost 23 dango sticks with Anko eating I think was more than that.

"Thank you." Anko looked at me before grinning and ruffling my hair, eyes staring back at mine with her smile never faltering.

"Guess what? I have a plan for us to do in the chunnin exams--you in?"

Nodding, I listened as she told me about her plan, suggesting some ideas here and there before deciding to head back to her house and talk more about it and what she was to do during the exams.

Waving goodbye, I arrive home by sundown and placed Cherry at my bed, thinking of how my day went by before deciding to visit Sakura's room.

Peeking in her room, I see her sitting by her desk, staring at nothing with a somewhat distracted look on her face.

Knocking gently on her door, her attention snapped towards me before beckoning me to come in and sit by her bed.

"Is there something wrong?" shaking my head, I take a pillow from her bed and hug it to my chest, staring at her emerald green eyes.

"What you thinking?"

"Oh uhm.." seeing her look away for a moment and fiddle with her thumbs, her eyes stared back at me with a nervous look on her face.

"It's... Nothing--don't worry about it Suzu."

Knowing she was lying but deciding to not pry about whatever it was, I nodded and let go of the pillow I was hugging, standing from the bed.

"Okay."

I gave a small wave before exiting her room and headed back to mine, turning on the small light by my bed  and hugged Cherry close to my chest thinking of tomorrow.

'I hope I can atleast get to watch them take the exams- it's the least I can do.'

With that thought, I slowly dozed off to sleep, once again forgetting about dinner.

The next morning, I walked with Sakura towards the academy where the first part of the exams where going to be held, my meet up with Anko was still a bit later.

"Sakura!We're over here!" I saw Uzumaki-san waving with the it behind him leaning against a tree, Sakura squealing at the sight of it beside me before dragging me towards her group mates.

"Suzu-chan? Aren't you supposed to be with your teammates?"

I look at Uzumaki-san shaking my head, the ninja clad in orange giving me a confused look before Sakura ushered us inside the building, the it giving out a small 'hn' as his reply.

Inside the building, we went up the first flight of stairs and arrived at a hallway crowded with people, two ninjas blocking a door which I think they needed to enter.

Looking around the mass of ninjas, I tried to spot for either Shino or Kiba, wanting to wish them a good luck and maybe say hi.

Turning my attention back to my sister and her teammates, I see her being talked to by a bushy browed guy in a green spandex, overhearing something about asking her to be his girlfriend.

Quickly going by her side, I shake my head vigorously at Sakura, whom seemed to have the same answer.

I silently watch the other ninjas feeling a chill run down my spine, a feeling in my gut telling me something bad was about to happen.

'My heartbeat is beating quite fast, I fear something's wrong.. But what?'

Trying to think of whatever my gut was warning me about, I was snapped out of my thoughts with Sakura and her team going away from the hallway to a somewhat more spacious area, Sakura filling me in about what just happened and now the it challenged green spandex to a fight.

After the challenge and watching the it lose- although the adult looking version of green spandex intervened, I walked with Sakura and her teammates to their destination, stopping just as I saw the door by my view. 

"What's wrong Suzu?"

"I stop here." Furrowing her brows, Sakura looked at me in confusion before I saw her look like she got the message.

"You mean-"

"Good luck."

Uzumaki-san stared at me then back to Sakura, scratching his head in utter confusion.

"What's happening? I don't understand! Shouldn't we be going inside the room already?"

"Naruto you idiot! Suzu isn't going to participate in the chunnin exams!!"

"HUH?!?!"

Before they could say anything, I pushed them towards the door (minus the it seeing that he just silently followed us) and quickly gave a small hug before waving at the three of them.

"Suzu-"

Making a dash away from them, I did not want to show them my sadness and quickly exited the academy, going through the busy streets deciding to jump from roof to roof to avoid the people, then arriving at my destination, Anko signalling me to come near her.

"Just in time midget! We just finished setting up the scrolls here in the forest of death." curious about the so called forest, I was about to peek through the fences when Anko blocked my view, dragging me away by the collar of my dress.

"Come on- we still need to set up the thingy for our surprise!!"

Pouting, I cross my arms and let her drag me to her house, my cheeks puffed out in anger.

3rd person's POV
Meanwhile..
"I don't see her anywhere--where is she?!"

A blonde haired lady tapped her fingers at the desk in annoyance, looking through the ninjas although failing to see who she wanted.

"Patience dear, she'll show up sooner or later." the black haired woman beside her spoke, watching the scene with the rookie 10 below them unfold, eyes staring at the only Uchiha.

"She should be."

AHHHHH ITS ALREADY THE CHUNIN EXAMS!!!!!

Just in case I didn't get to elaborate it clearly, "Cherry" is Suzu's stuffed rabbit, the one Sakura brought home for her from the land of the waves.
