3rd person POV:

In the Phoenix residents, Eda and April, woke up in their beds, wearing the clothes they have chosen to be their pajamas.

Changing into more city-appropriate clothing, they came out of their rooms to see what Yn had planned for them today.

Though they personally did not want to follow the magician every whim, due to the information he possesses, they were both ordered to stay close and guard him against the other side.

And if possible, get him to tell them the contents of the scroll.

Unlikely as it was, they still tried.

April: Ugh, where's that damn magician?

Eda: Perhaps in his room?

April: Which one, dummy?

Eda: No need to be rude.

April: There's always a need to be rude.

(Slam)

Bursting into the room as if he came to stop a wedding to confess his love, Yn arrived from a room that the two sorceresses caught a glimpse of being a workshop.

Yn: Good morning! I have a question!

Relaxing, after realizing it was just the flamboyant Phoenix making his entrance, the girls looked at him, curious about his question.

April: What is it?

Yn: Can either of you make electricity with your magic?

Eda/April: No.

Yn: You two seem quite confident about that.

Eda: We cannot simply produce electricity. Learning even a certain type of magic takes years.

Eda: Let alone mastering it.

April: Says you, it took me one year to get where I am.

Eda: It shows.

April:(glares)...

Eda: Her aside... It's not as simple as learning to this and that.

April: You can... But doubtful they'd be powerful enough to be useful...

Yn: Why's that?

April: To put it another way, so you can understand... You can't have pizza at a seafood restaurant.

April: Even if pizza was on the menu, it wouldn't be as good as from a pizza place.

Yn: So you're saying you can't do anything else but fire and light?

Eda: We can perform very minor, low-level spells, really only meant to see what affinity we have, but otherwise, you're correct.

April: We can poor more mana, into them, but it would be a waste.

Yn: Could you still try?

April:(sigh)...

Eda: Why do you want something like an electricity spell?

Yn: I have an empty battery.

Eda/April:...

(Opening theme)

A woman, wearing a strange uniform stared at the city in the distance.

With an uneasy glare, she meticulously thought about how they would go about completing their mission.

If she wasn't careful, it could spell disaster for her kind.

However, a mission was a mission, and they didn't have all day.

With the rising sun, they neared the city, in search of one man.

Yn Phoenix, the impossible man.

(Hours later....)

Yn:(mumbles) 2% in twenty minutes...

With the plan to charge a battery with his assistants' magical powers failing due to their specialty being in different categories.

The extremely low-level spell of lighting they did know was too weak and slow for Yn.

Instead, he went to his original plan and bought a new battery which he was currently in the middle of modifying.

He did this in the park which had a small stage that was used during events. But when there weren't any events, it was free for anyone to use.

Taking advantage of this, Yn decided to train his assistants in the art of performance.

Eda: I don't understand, what is it you want us to do?

Yn: Anything. Dance, sing, pose, do some magic. Just get comfortable doing stuff on a stage with people watching.

April: This is stupid...

Yn: There's almost no one around. But when it comes to one of my shows, all eyes will be on the three of us.

Yn: Can you two, who have been in hiding for what I guess is the majority of your lives, handle hundreds upon thousands of people staring at you?

April: You're really going to make us do this, aren't you?

Yn: Yep. Now put on a show. It doesn't have to be good... Here, I'll even put on some music.

Through his phone, he played an upbeat jazz song.

Yn: Get my attention!

April:(mind) Ugh... As soon as the information of the scroll is extracted from this guy, I'll kill him myself.

Eda:(mind) This is so humiliating... I'll be a laughing stock if anyone finds out.

The white-haired mage performs an awkward ballet dance as her red-haired counterpart, unenthusiastically dances, casually.

Yn:(mind) It sucks that these batteries aren't renewable. But this should power the electronics in my suit for a while.

His attention turned to his assistants, who were on the verge of quitting.

Yn:(sigh)...

Rising to his feet, Yn announces himself to everyone in the park.

Yn: Ladies and gentlemen! Boys and Girls!

April: What now....?

Yn: It is I! Yn Phoenix! The impossible man! Here, bringing you a live show, for free!

Jumping onto the park's stage, Yn began gathering a crowd.

Crowed:(Murmuring)

Yn: Yes, yes, it's the real me!

Crowed:(mumbling) It really is him...

Yn: Now...

(Clap)

Clapping his hands and rubbing them together, quickly comes up with an act.

Yn: Now I know I said in my last show that I'd take a break... But I couldn't help myself.

The extra suit he had in a suit bag, he gave to Eda.

Yn: Be a dear and hold it to the side.

Eda: Okay...

Following his instructions, Eda held the bag out to the side.

Yn: Don't forget to smile.

Eda:(awkward smile)

Yn: Come on! You have a beautiful smile, don't hide it.

Yn: And use your other arm to present the bag, have them focus on it.

Eda:(awkward smile) Okay...

Yn: April, come here, please.

She came closer.

Yn: Next time, put some style into your walk.

April: You want me to style my walk?

Yn: Mirror Eda.

April:... Fine.

Grabbing the suit bag, the two girls held it up together.

Yn: Smile.

April: Bite me.

Yn:(smirks) Don't tempt me.

Yn: Apologies for the wait.

Yn: I only have one trick for you all, sadly...

Yn: It's also not really that big of a trick, simply a portal to the sun.

Eda/April: Eh?

Yn; Using the suit bag as shielding for you, my assistants and I shall open a portal to the sun!

Yn: Make sure you step back, this trick is quite dangerous.

Going under the suit bag, Yn grabs Eda's then April's free hand, moving them so they make a circle.

April:(whispers) Now what?

Yn:(whispers) Give me some light and fire.

Eda:(whispers) You want us to use magic!?

Yn:(whispers) This is a magic show, so yes. To be honest, this is the major reason I wanted you two as my assistants.

April:(whispers) This is why? I would have thought you wanted us because of our looks.

Yn:(whispers) If I wanted pretty girls, I could easily get models prettier than you two.

April:(whispers) Tch...

Eda:(whispers) We can't perform magic in front of people.

Yn:(whispers) Why not? I do it all the time.

April:(whispers) You do tricks!

Yn:(whispers) Exactly! And if you're with me, then they'll think whatever you do is a trick as well.

Eda/April:...

Yn:(whispers) Just do a small poof.

Reluctant by every means, the two gave in to his demands as to not lose their standing with the only person who knows the secret of the scroll.

The two both mumble under their breath an incantation and the people began seeing lights and flames being spit into the air from behind the suit bag.

Yn: The chant is complete!

Crowed: Ohhhh...

In awe, the crowd watched and cheered, until it was over.

Yn: Thank you for taking time out of your day to watch this.

Yn: Please, would you give applause to my lovely assistants?

(Clapping)

Eda/April:?

The people slowly began disappearing.

Yn: Nothing big, I know, but now you have a taste of what to expect.

Eda: You'll have us use magic during your big shows as well?

Yn: Just to warm up the crowd. The big stuff, you can leave to me.

Girl: Excuse me, excuse me!

A small child, about eight years old came running towards the magician and his assistants with pen and paper in hand.

Her parent followed behind as the girl asked the obvious.

Girl: Can I have your autograph?

Yn:(smiles) Of course.

He takes the pen and paper so he could write his signature.

April: You give autographs.

Yn: I'm quite famous... Don't worry, after one show, you'll get tons of requests for these.

April: Not sure I'd like that...

Giving the girl back her pen and paper, she runs up to Eda and April.

Girl: You're his new assistant, right?

Eda: Y-yes...

April: Something like that...

Girl: Can I have your autographs too? Before you become super famous?

Eda/April:!?

Eda: Why do you want our autographs?

Girl: Because you two look very pretty and I love Mister Phoenix's assistants

April:...

Eda:(awkward chuckles)

Yn: Aww... Come on, give the girl your signature.

The two shyly give the young girl their signatures.

Girl: She runs off.

Yn: If you sell the signatures use the money to chase your dream!

Girl:(in the distance) Okay!

Yn: People ask for signatures all the time to sell them... I don't personally mind, as long as they use it to chase their dream-

Yn: Hm?

Eda:(smiles)

Yn: Yes! That! Smile like that! Maybe give a bit of a seductive look.

Eda:!!

Eda:(looks away)

April:... That... She mentioned assistants like there were others.

Yn: There were.

Eda: Really? What happened to them?

Yn: Uhhhhhhh... "Creative differences"...

April: What is that supposed to mean?

Yn: It means-

???: "Nat-Trol-Go".

Vines grow out from the ground to grab Yn's arms.

Pulling them behind his back, and wrapping them together, acting as a pair of handcuffs.

April/Eda:!?

The mage then reveals themselves.

In a white uniform with red hair, this tanned-skinned woman walked sternly towards the magician.

(Suzu Narney: Magic Knight)

Suzu: I am Suzu Barney. Knight Radcliffe, I order you to hide the spell as the lead on this mission.

Eda: Narney, this is-

Suzu: Appropriate, since this man has made you two use magic in public.

Eda:....(sigh)... "Lig-trol-Go".

She made Yn's vine cuffs invisible.

Suzu: Make note of everyone who saw the performance, I shall take him in.

Yn: Oh? Where are we going? Do you think I can change suits first?

Suzu: Be silent.

With her spell still active, and made invisible by Eda, Suzu pushes Yn with a larger vine.

April: "Fir-Go"!

A fireball flew into Suzu, knocking her back.

April: You're not taking him anywhere. Only someone who follows Calia shall have my blessing to take him.

Suzu:(dusted herself off) So be it...

Yn slides in between them.

Yn: I have a much better idea. How about you free me and I-

Suzu: Silence!

She slaps him into a tree with her vine.

Yn:(Grunts)

Yn: Nice bark...(groans)...

Eda: If there must be a battle, at least allow me to hide it.

Yn:(groaning) Nooooo...

April/Suzu:...

Eda:...."Lig-Trol-Fi-Mo-Go".

Creating a field twenty meters in diameter, Eda makes everyone inside the field invisible.

However, the powerful spell drained her of her mana.

Eda:(panting)

Falling to her knees in exhaustion, Eda places her hand on some grass which slowly withers away as she absorbs the energy from it and the surrounding nature.

April: Let's settle this clean and quickly. Whoever gets knocked out of the bubble, must abandon their plot for the magician.

Suzu: Very well.

Suzu/April: "Con-Rule"

The contracts appear and disappear with the signatures written in blood.

Suzu: "Nat-trol-go"!

Beneath April's feet, a tree grew fast enough to raise her off the ground.

April: "Fir-Flo-Go"!

Leaping off the tree, April swings a whip of flames at Suzu, who makes the tree bend and block her from getting hit.

Though Suzu was unharmed by the whip, she was forced to move when the whip cut the tree in half, horizontally.

The tree half fell near her, blocking any sight to Yn, who was moving around strangely.

April roughly landed on the tree half that was still standing.

April:(grunts)

April:(mind) There goes that again.

Cautiously, Suzu went around the tree, as April slowly got down from the tree, as to not hurt herself.

Eda:(mind) Narney is at a disadvantage with her nature magic

Eda:(mind) Then again, as long as she has the mana to reenforce her spells against flames, the disadvantage is void...

Eda:(mind) It all comes down to mana, whoever runs out first, loses.

Suzu: Surrender now.

April: Why? I'm just about to win.

Suzu: If you give up, you have a chance to escape, stay and I shall take you in.

April:(rolls eyes)... You're quite confident for someone who's cast more spells than me today.

Suzu: I have a large pool, I can afford to spend.

Yn: Then why the rush?

Walking in between the two was the great Phoenix. His hands, we're no longer behind his back, instead, in the front, holding his belt like a cowboy.

Eda/April/Suzu:??

Suzu: How did you get out from my binding.

Yn: I am a master of escaping. There's no trap I cannot escape.

Yn: Thank you for buying me time my lovely assistant, I shall take it from here.

April: Huh? Why? There's no reason for you too.

Yn: Of course there is... I'm the main act, so of course, I have to defeat her.

April: Huh? Ugh... Whatever, mister attention hogger... Go on, show us how you'll beat her.

Yn: Thank you, assistant.

April; Shut up, dumbass.

Suzu:...

Suzu: I don't understand. You stand no chance against me.

Yn: Is that so?

With his hands close together, Yn presents them to her.

Yn: Look at my hands. There's nothing in them.

Flipping his hands around and back, Phoenix reveals a small rod that pops open revealing it to be a wand.

Yn: See this wand?

Using it with both hands, Yn flicks his hat off his head and lets it land on his foot where he balances it.

Yn: Where is it?

Suzu:...

April: Wh-what....?

Eda:(tilts head in confusion)

Suzu: I don't have time for this.

Yn: Find the wand, and I shall come willingly with no tricks.

Suzu:...(sigh)...

Suzu: It's in that hat.

Yn: Are you sure about that?

Suzu: Yes.

Placing the hat on the ground, Yn slides it towards her.

Yn: Check.

Picking up the hat, Suzu looks inside the hat and finds nothing.

Suzu: Probably hidden some-

Lifting it higher so the sunlight could get in, Suzu is met by a few pigeons which burst out and fly past her face.

Suzu: GHA!

She stumbles back near the edge of the invisible barrier.

Suzu: You conniving-(grunts)

The great magician, Yn, dropkicks Suzu out of the dome Eda created.

Landing after a backflip, Yn bows.

April:...

Eda:... Why did you have birds in your hat?

Yn: Reasons...

April: That won't always work.

Yn: Gotta get as much use out of it as I can.

April became the victor of Con-rule since Suzu exited the area.

As Susu grunted in pain, Yn held out his arms.

Yn: Can one of you get rid of these restraints?

Eda/April:?

Phoenix asked, never actually freeing himself from the restraints, but instead, simply getting his arms out from his back, by stretching them over his legs.

With the matter settled, the trio left Suzu to go report the incident, as they themselves went home to rest.
