(Bonus): Laws of Magic
Eda: Magic comes in many different shapes and forms.
Eda: However, the most common form of it is elemental magic.
Eda: It ranges from fire, water, nature, to light, shadow, and so on.
Eda: They each have their own effects.
Eda: To cast a spell, a mage must take a form of energy, such as electricity or heat, and convert it into mana which can be manipulated with words of power to take many forms.
Eda: Such as the elements I mentioned.
Eda: A spell usually starts out with a base that makes up it.
Eda: For me, it would be "Lig" to create a Light spell.
Eda: "Go" will launch a spell forward.
Eda: "Mo" will increase the power of a spell.
Eda: "Trol" will give the user more control over a spell. It's quite versatile if costly.
Eda: The mage who uses it can move, change the color and shape the spell as long as it exists.
Eda: For example, fire can be shaped into almost anything, and can be redirected after being launched.
Eda: Then there is "Fi" which allows a mage to cast a spell in a wide field around themselves. This word also adds to the cost.
April: Ugh... Okay, that's enough, of your dry and boring talk.
Eda: H-hey- Whoa!
April: You probably noticed her talking about costs, so let's go over that rather than the dictionary of magic words.
April: Spells cost mana, and idiot knows that. But what determines how much a spell costs?
April: Two things. The words used and how many words are used.
April: And no, it's not as simple as 2+2 equals 4. It's more like 2+ this different 2 who doesn't like the first two equals 6.
April: But I'm getting ahead of myself.
April: Let's start of with word cost.
April: "Fir", "Go" they're the cheap stuff. Like fast food, if compared to restaurants.
April: "Mo" is like one of those non-chain restaurants.
April: "Trol" is like a decent restaurant.
April: Now the other thing... So some words don't like being together. It's like they conflict with one another.
April: You can still cast a spell that has conflicting words but the cost will be extra.
April: For example... Trying to fire two different elements at the same time.
Eda: There are plenty of examples of that such as-
April: Hey, I'm still talking!
Eda: I was here first!
April: Oh, real mature!
Eda/April:(arguing)
Yn: I guess that's all folks! See you next time! Ask any questions you have and... We'll get to it... Eventually...
