The two Zoroark watched their precious egg. It had already been stolen from them once, and they didn't want to let it happen again. So they watched it, eyes never leaving the white surface with green spots.

It shook.

The Zoroark both gasped as the egg rocked violently.

It shook again.

Shudders ran through the shell.

It cracked.

The Zoroark fell silent, eyes wide with wonder as they watched a little red paw poke out of the crack in the egg.

It shook for the final time.

A little Zorua tumbled out of the shattered eggshell that had held her for the time before. The shell was still mostly intact. She stared up at the Zoroark, her parents, with childhood innocence and wonder. The two dark type pokemon were smiling, speechless and amazed.

"Ru... Rua..." the Zorua mumbled, "Zoru..."

One Zoroark, the Zoruas mother, picked up the tiny bundle of fur and held her close. The father watched happily as the Zorua closed her eyes and sighed softly.

The other Zoroark had oddly golden eyes, though the young Zorua wasn't bothered by it. She grinned at her father.

"Tricky," the mother of the zorua said.

"Her name?"

"Tricky. We shall name her Tricky."

"That's a beautiful na-" the male Zoroark was cut off by another cracking sound. He turned to see a pinkish red paw curled over the side of the remaining eggshell. The second Zorua pulled herself up, to reveal that she had golden eyes, just like her father.

"A-Another one!" Tricky's father gasped.

"Twins..." the other Zoroark whispered as the first picked up the new Zorua. "What shall we name her?" their mother asked.

"Zil?"

"Hmm... Zil and Tricky... beautiful names for beautiful Zorua."

Tricky grinned, as if she could understand them. Zil licked her fathers face, and both of them laughed.

"Zora!" Zil cheered as she wrapped her paws around her father.

"Oh, Zil..!" the mother said happily, and Tricky was smiling as well.

"Rua!" She giggled, licking the female Zoroarks face.

"Oh, Tricky... Zil... we'll treasure you two forever, no matter what..." their mother said softly.
