Fallen leaves
Prompt - picture below.
Poem -
Slowly the mist starts to cover
Enveloping the fallen autumn leaves
As the leaves above the ground, hover
Just like a mother, the tree grieves
There lies the orange and brown
Once beautifully attached to the tree
Now lying lifeless and bland, down
Looking at the blue sky in an endless spree
Leaves let the tree know the reality
As it would come, born again as a new
This is just nature's inevitable plea
To shed and grow another beautiful view
The tree looks at the ground
As its leaves have lied down carefree
Without its warmth, the ground is crowned
Finally ready to be the carpet for the snow glee
