The start of the mating season is often told by the first snows. Alphas will come into the tribes, towing kills they made singlehandedly. They show off the animals they hunted, looking to impress the omegas and female betas. The kills also serve a dual purpose of feeding the omegas as they conceive and start to carry their young.

Who ever killed the most impressive animal may not be enough for a solid judging. Then there's competitions between alphas and male betas. Using weapons like swords and Spears and axes, they fight each other. The goal is not to kill. This is more of a show for the omegas and female betas to see whos stronger, faster, more skilled and overall fit to father their children.

Choices are made by the females. Chalking up the makes hunting and fighting prowess, they will pick one, usually placing a small trinket in their hand like jewelry or decorative arrow points. Omegas and betas may pick a new alpha/make beta every year, the same every year or a mix of the last two.

And the rest is history
