--Everything had changed since the Alpha died. More packs kept coming, most of them ambitious... They wanted the land, one by one they continued to pick off the members of the pack till the remaining wolves agreed on a plan and scattered. Some joined other packs, but Hollow and Light continued onward... Towards the mountains. Out story begins in the exact time slot that the last chapter ended...--

Me and Light trotted up the path, long shadows lay across the horizon, soon the sky would be filled with countless stars, and the dreams and hopes of fallen comrades.
I stared forward not showing the slightest bit of optimism. Light's tails swished back and forth.
'What is she thinking?' I wondered as we went up the path.
"We should reach the mountains by daybreak," I said my voice calm. Light nodded, she stopped. "Hollow wait,"
I turned looking at her, she was rather beautiful. If you didn't know her closely you wouldn't be able to guess that she was an assassin. Her job being to issue out the Alpha's orders for murder.
Even though she was a killer and had proved her instincts many times... I always thought she looked too delicate to live that way, but I knew she'd proven me dead wrong, literally.
"Shouldn't we stop for the night? It'll be pointless walking around in an unfemilliar space if we can't see where we're putting out paws," she pointed out, I nodded. "Right, let's find somewhere to stay for the night..."

After a bit of searching we found a safe spot to rest, I curled up close to Light wrapping my tail around her protectively, even though that I knew she didn't need protection.... She seemed so fragile right now, like a small flame, one blow of the wind and she'd go out.... Light shifted curling up wrapping both her tails around her muzzle. This Jerorny would be a hard one... But hopefully it would be worth something...
