I shook off my coat snorting as another fierce wind almost blew my fur off.
I had spent several days up in the mountains, but still, nothing. No sign of other wolves. I had never felt so alone, yet so free. I was free of my pack and Alpha...
I was DONE.
Nothing lived up in this mountain, and I liked it that way...
I sat on a cliff staring down at my previous home, the wind blew my fur hard, and my stomach growled, but I knew that nothing would be out in this weather...
My paw steps left in the snow like moonlit shadows as I began to slowly pad back through the snow looking for a cave or somewhere to stay for the night. The snow was rather deep and went up to my muzzle at some parts as I half swam, half walked through it.
I looked around trying to find a cave or anything else that I could sleep in.
'Well Dusk... Looks like you'll have to burrow after all.... Yay!"
I shook off snorting I began to dig into the snow, my paws felt numb and frozen and my muscles ached from walking through the tall snow, but I kept digging till I had made a smallish den for myself. It was large enough so that it wouldn't cave over, and would give me a little bit of wiggle room. I shivered curling up on the cold stone, and fell asleep.

I'm sorry that this chapter was so short. I wanted to switch perspectives and there was a time skip so the last three chapters have been in the past.
