"Hi little one." I said ruffling my sister's hair. She giggled and pulled out a mint green colored thing behind her. "Mum got me a Nintendo!" She cheered switching on the electronic device. She was so happy and seeing her so cheerful made me feel so good. I love seeing her full of joy. She already is a ball of sunshine.

"Aw that's really good Ellie-bear, did you thank mummy for that?" She nodded and I pinched her cheek before going straight to the kitchen.

I grabbed a cookie from the island and I sat on the stool eating my food quietly. I was thinking about how I'll tell my mum about Sydney, spring break and mostly the project with Ashton.

Mrs Grey is the nicest teacher on earth but not when it comes to homework and projects. She tortured us all, I really wanted to kill her. I can't even imagine how will I work with Ashton when we clearly don't stand each other at all.

"Hi hun."

"Hi mum, how are you?"

"Fine, just a tough day at work." She sighed and poured a glass of homemade lemonade. She's really tiring herself at work. I worry about her. "So, how's school?"

"Alright. I'm excited for spring break." She grinned at me and spoke. "I'm maybe going to send your sister to a camping trip with the school."

"Do Ellie really want to go?" I know that she never wants to leave her toys and the TV, plus, she practically doesn't have any friends. "Yeah, she's going with Roxy and Logan." I nodded pressing my lips together, I think that she should be good because she likes Roxy and Logan, they're our cousins from dad's side. Roxy is four too but Logan is five.

"And what are your plans?" I shifted in my seat and cleared my throat. I really want to tell her but she'll never let me, it's Australia. The other side of the world.

"I don't know yet." I lied.

"Are you still seeing that Luke guy?" I blushed and dropped my gaze to my lap. "Yeah."

"When can I meet him properly?" Thank God, she brought up this subject by herself. I can use this opportunity.

"We can invite him and his mother over, this weekend for dinner or something. She's very nice." I suggested with a hopeful grin and she shrugged flashing a warm smile.

"Okay, ask them if they're free on Saturday. We'll have dinner."

"Sweet, I'll text him right now." I quickly replied and pulled out my phone unlocking it. "You seem very eager, what's up?"

"Uh nothing, just happy because I know you'll love them." I went over to Luke's name and typed a text message.

To : Aussie boy<3 : mum said you can come over saturday for dinner is that okay with ur mum?

After around a minute or so, my phone buzzed.

From : aussie boy<3 : yep babe, at 7.30?

"He said that is it okay at 7.30?" She nodded with a shrug in the end. I typed an okay to Luke and jumped from my seat. I just hope that everything will go okay.

I changed into comfy clothes and when I opened my bag, I saw the Chemistry paper and I sighed. I need to call Ashton and sort a meet up. I dialed his number and sat criss-crossed on my bed waiting for him to pick up the phone.

"Hello." I bit my lip nervously when I heard his voice.

"Uh hi, I called about the project." I replied.

"Ah the project, sounds like a good idea right?" I rolled my eyes, God this boy is so bipolar. Like two days ago, he called me a slut in front of everybody and made fun of me and now he's excited because he's going to work with me. He's a bag full of bullshit.

"I really care about my grades, so, I'm accepting working with you only for that."

"Easy there Laur, I care about mine too." I shook my head disapproving even though he couldn't see me. "Yeah, my ass." I mumbled to myself.

"Come to the library Friday at 4PM, I'll wait for you and bring your laptop." I ordered sternly and I heard him humming in the phone.

"Why don't you come to mine?"

"We're no longer dating and I'm not going to your house." I said raising my voice slightly, he's being ridiculous.

"Oh crap, I thought that I'd get my blowjob too." My jaw dropped and I heard another voice in the background. It's definitely Calum's.

"Fuck you Ashton, like seriously you're an hypocrite asshole." I insulted and I can feel my hands shaking from anger. Why I have to work with him?

"At 4PM it is, see you." He simply said and hang up. I threw my phone somewhere behind me in the bed and rubbed my temples. My life is a disaster. I let out a breath trying to calm myself, then I decided to play some drums, the best way to relax.

I played my instrument for a while to relax and then, I looked over at my watch. It was half past eleven. How mum didn't come up and tell me to stop playing?

I took my night shower, blow-dried my hair real quick, but soon after, I heard my phone ringing. I picked it up quickly without checking the ID caller.

"I'm hungry." This was definitely Kenzie. I laughed and sat on my desk chair.

"Do I look like a chef?"

"Shut up, I wanna eat and I have nobody to drive me." She complained and I looked over at the watch again, it's almost one in the morning, yeah I took over an hour in the shower.

"Really Kenzie? We have school tomorrow." I argued and I heard her sighing. "I don't care."

"I'm coming but only because I'm hungry too." I said and she cheered very loudly that I had to bring the phone far from my ear. I put on a random sweatshirt with a zipper over my t-shirt and I slipped on my white converse.

Thankfully, mum and dad are heavy sleepers so, I sneaked out quietly and started the car driving to Kenzie's. After few minutes, I pulled the car in front of her house and she was wearing a long flannel with pajama shorts and random white tank top and vans in her feet.

We were in pajamas, messy buns and makeup-less face. What a great look.

"Where now?"

"I know this diner that serve food after midnight just head north for now." I nodded and started the engine following her indictions.

"I am so angry. Calum just texted me and said that I should come to his place Saturday."

"Ashton wanted that too but I declined his offer." I said keeping my focus on the road. She kicked her feet up on the dashboard receiving an eye roll from me and She spoke.

"Mikey is really lucky. Noah is going to do all the work."

"What a lucky bastard. But, don't let me start thinking about Luke and Madison." I trust Luke, I really do, but I don't trust Madison. I'm so nervous, I hope she won't try anything.

"I'm anxious. I'm going to Calum's, what if he tries to have sex with me or?"

"Oh shut up. He knows that you're with Michael." She groaned again and I really feel her. Our situations is pretty similar.

"Take the next turn to the left, drive for a mile and we should be there." I nodded and took the turn on the left. "Luke invited me to his brother's wedding." I said casually. 

"Oh wow, you guys seem pretty serious."

"Yeah and it's in Sydney." I replied biting my lip taking a quick glance at her. Her face was priceless.

"Don't tell me your mum let you go to fucking Australia?"

"Not yet, Luke will get his mum to talk to mine." She was silent for few seconds like she was slowly processing the information.

"I am so happy for you but I want you to pack me in your suitcase." I giggled and took another turn to park my car in a near parking lot. We got out of the car and walked a short distance to the diner.

We took a seat in a booth and there were two guys in the corner and a couple behind us. A very annoyed waitress came and took our order. I ordered chocolate waffles and hot raspberry tea, and Kenzie wanted french toast with a hot chocolate.

"So, what's up?" I said leaning on the soft cushions. She shrugged and put her chin on her palm.

"Are you and Mikey okay?"

"We have sex like every single day, we're like fucking rabbits. I know that our relationship is only for messing around nothing too serious, but, I like him." She sighed in the end and took a breath before adding. "Like a lot. And when we started this thing, we agreed that are no feelings involved." I knew that she has something bothering her, I was just waiting for her to talk. She really seemed worried and lost. I know that Kenzie is the girl that only mess around with guys and that is only after her breakup with Calum years ago. She never wanted to fall again so, that's why she likes to hookup. But now, it looks like Michael relived her heart.

"We're seeing each other since last year." She blurted out and I looked at her confused. How? When? Why I don't about this.

"What?"

"Yeah like you remember that little hangout in Jacob's house when I brought you with me forcefully." I rolled my eyes at the thought of that night, she literally dragged me out of my bed and made me go with her.

"Yep so, I had few drinks and went to talk on the phone outside, he was smoking." I nodded signaling her to continue. "When I hung up, he was like hey, you're in some of my classes and I see you around all the time. We chatted for couple minutes and I told him that he's cute, and he was like I'm not cute I'm punk rock." I nodded because I already know about that fucking sentence since she wouldn't shut up about it.

"Alright so, he offered me a drink and we sat on the grass. We talked until I don't know how but we kissed. No romantic shit, I guess there was a thick sexual tension between us. We exchanged numbers that night."

"We saw each other all summer and I went to Orlando for a week to see him in the camp." My jaw dropped and I sat quickly looking at her in disbelief. What is she hiding more from me?

"What the fuck Kenzie? You told me you stayed in Montreal the whole summer!" I bitterly spoke, I hate liars so much. She lied to me. "I did but he was begging me to go visit and I wanted an escape from my family." She argued trying to prove a point. I still deserve to know, like I'm her best friend.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked.

"Because you hated them all and you would think that I ditched you to stay with them. I'm sorry, I just didn't want to upset you." She said rubbing my arm and before I could say anything, the waitress came back with our food.

"I still deserve to know though." I said once she's done serving our orders. Kenzie sighed and rubbed my arm with an apologetic look on her face.

"I know, I'm stupid, but I told you, you would be really upset." I nodded because that's true. I'll pick a fight and be all sarcastic and annoying.

"And do you think that he has maybe developed some kind of a crush on you?" I asked taking a sip from my hot tea.

"Nah babe, where do you think we are? Unicorn world?" She shook her head and take a bite of her food. 

"Don't go all sarcastic on me Kenz."

"Sorry, but that is it. I'm really attached to him. I don't wanna tell him that I want more because he'll leave me and I really enjoy his company."

"Maybe he likes you too and don't want to tell you." I suggested. She glared at me making me stop eating for a bit. "Seriously, I'm done with your optimistic side. I thought that you knew who he really is." She spoke and I preferred to continue eating not adding a word. 

Afterwards, we payed and exited the diner. It was already 2.30AM, we didn't care anymore. We walked slowly in the street talking about random stuff like how many colors does have the Naked 3 palette. The dark alley didn't really scare us, we're used to sneaking out late at night. 

"Hold on Laur." Kenzie stopped me suddenly and was staring right ahead of us. I furrowed my eyebrows and followed her actions.

"Is that Ashton?" She questioned quietly and I focused on what's she looking at until it clicked. In the end of the alley, there was three boys standing under the dim street light with black hoodies over their heads but I could recognize Ashton's hair and boots from miles.

We hid behind the bus stop and watched them from behind. Ashton looked at both his sides and took out from his back pocket his phone probably checking the time.

The two boys with him were smoking and nervously waiting for something, because one of them was pacing.

"Crap, that's Michael." Kenzie cursed under her breath and I definitely recognized Mike's red hair. Like who fucking couldn't?

What are they doing?

I couldn't tell who the third person was because he wasn't directly standing under the light. A car pulled up few feet behind us and we hid more behind the bus stop when they started walking.

They were two. One of them holding something.

Michael tossed his cigarette to the ground and fixed his hoodie on his head looking over at Ashton. The five talked for a bit and I still didn't know who was the third person waiting with them neither the new dudes.

"Oh my God, they are buying drugs." Kenzie whispered and I snapped my gaze to Ashton who pulled out something of his pocket and shoved quickly in the man's hand.

The other man gave Michael apparently a bag and the red-haired boy examined it along with the unrecognized person next to him.

"Let's move a little so, we can hear the conversation." I spotted a dumpster near the alley, it could be easier if we move there. We tiptoed few feet ahead and tried so hard to eavesdrop. 

"Listen Irwin, these are 50 bags. Dave said, he wants the money by the end of the month. I know you're brave, don't disappoint me."

Who the fuck is Dave?

"Alright, we're off now. Be careful." That's everything we could hear. The two men rushed to their car making us glue our back to the wall. I am speechless.

"They are selling drugs." I said in a hushed tone, she nodded still looking at them. This was so much. I know that they do drugs, but only weed not fucking cocaine or heroine or whatever they are fucking selling. I heard few stuff about drug dealing but we always joked about it. I've never took it seriously until now. I was dating a drug dealer. Mum should be really proud of me.

We waited until they left until we jogged to my car. I hopped in the seat and let out a sigh. I still can't believe it.

"Holy shit.. I knew it. Why I didn't believe him that day?" I looked over at Kenzie who was apparently talking to herself.

"Wait, what?" I asked.

"Last month, I went to Jacob's with him and he joked about being a drug dealer and he can procure the sickest drugs ever. But we were drinking, I didn't know that he was serious."

This is yet another hidden secret, what else is it left?
