I closed my locker and leaned against it, to read the text I've just got. It was my mum saying that she's going to visit my grandma along with my little sister and my father and spend the night there. So, I had the whole house to myself all the weekend. It was already Friday, so it's been exactly a week since I'm back to school.

During this week, I managed to make quick conversations with Ashton, because I felt bad for yelling at him, also, Luke, Kenzie and I have been having a lot of fun, just hanging around after school and sitting sometimes together at lunch. I'm really comfortable around him and he's really funny.

Calum, as always, trying to involve himself in every conversation I'm having, he's just really annoying but I don't really care. Just whenever he's around, Kenzie is always awkward and find a reason to leave. In fact, Calum's squad are always trying to get Luke involved in their crap, such as, drugs, purchasing alcohol illegally, wild parties and a lot of other weird stuff. Kenzie and I understood the whole process. They want hot and charming guys, so that they can increase their popularity level. They are manipulative people who all what they care about is money and social status. I just hate them so much and I don't want Luke to take part of their group, because he's nice and they will change him eventually. Just like, they've changed my sweet best friend Ashton.

"Hey! Laur, are you done?" Kenzie was holding her backpack on her shoulder waiting for me to leave the school building.

"By the way, my family aren't gonna be home this weekend. Let's have a movie night, all of us." I said linking my arm with hers walking on the less empty hallway.

"You mean, the two of us and Luke? God Lauren, don't tell me, I'm third wheeling tonight." She groaned lifting her eyes in the air annoyed. I laughed shaking my head, "Should I invite Ashton too? You know, he has been begging me to make things work again between us."

"Make sure, he doesn't bring his asshole of best friend over, because I swear to god, I-" I interrupted her before she began rambling at how much she hates Calum.

"No, Kenz. I don't stand Hood also." She nodded letting me take my phone out and text the boys to inform them.

We stopped at the grocery shop at our way home, to grab some snacks. Once we were finally at home, I changed into some shorts and an AM tank top. Kenzie prepared the foor (best thing ever) when I fixed Netflix and put blankets and so many pillows. I tried to make the room look cozy and not so fucking fancy like my mother want it to be.

"Dummies, I'm here!" I heard the deep australian accent coming from the hall, and I rolled my eyes playfully. Luke was wearing some black sweatpants with dark gray sweat shirt, he pulled me for a quick hug and then Ashton was standing closely behind him. I waved at him, and made a hug effort to give him a hug.

"Hey." I whispered hugging him. "Hi Laur."

"So, what do you guys want to watch?" I asked taking a seat next to Ashton on the couch. Luke and Kenzie were on the floor.

"Do you really want us to pick?" I shrugged my shoulders, I was just being polite because they are my guests, but I have a bad feeling that they'll torture us tonight.

"No chick flicks, no sci-fi, no action. I'm putting on a horror movie." Luke clicked on the first movie that popped up in the horror movies list. Kenzie closed the lights and I took the bowl of Dorrito's putting it between Ash and me. At least, I can occupy myself by eating food instead of watching.

Throughout the movie, it gets scarier and scarier. My heart was thumping against my chest and I had to hide my face behind the pillow at least ten times per minute. Everyone was enjoying it except me and even the chips aren't assuring me. I couldn't hold myself anymore when the scariest scene came and I screamed on top of my lungs covering my entire body with the blanket I was sharing with Ashton.

"Laur, are you okay?" I felt a hand on my back and I was shaking so badly. Seriously, scary movies including ghosts and demons are my biggest fear. I removed the blanket and I met Ashton's eyes full of concern and care. I nodded still not looking at the screen.

"I'm not pausing this, it's such a great movie." Kenzie said pressing play to continue watching the film. "I'll hide under this blanket forever then." I sarcastically answered still having the blanket covering my head. 

"Do you wanna go outside?" Ashton whispered putting his hand on my arm, I'm still not used to being friendly with him, but I prefer going outside with him rather then watch this and shit myself with fear.

"Let's go up to my room." I replied taking the blanket off of us. "Guys, when the movie ends, we'll be back." They both nodded keeping their eyes on the screen, this is so addictive and it's driving me insane. How can they enjoy this shit?

We went up to my room, and I took a seat on the edge of my bed letting Ashton admire the pictures on my polaroid board, (I'm such a white girl).

"How old is your sister?" He asked leaning on my desk now. He used to always play with her when he comes over after school.

"She's four. She still asks me about you sometimes."

"And what was your answer?" He locked his eyes with mine and I shrugged taking interest on my little dark blue pillow.

"I'm no longer friends with him, she always say why and I say because people change." There was a point behind my answer and he knew that. He sighed walking to my bed to sit next to me. He reached for my hand and he interlocked our fingers. The feeling of our hands being one piece made butterflies attack my tummy, even though, Ashton used to be my best friend since childhood but I couldn't help developing a little crush on him back in the time. I looked at him, his eyes were not as bright as they are in during the day, but still perfect. I've always liked the way his eyes complete his whole awesomeness. Despite being a douche bag and the biggest asshole he has became, he has always been a boy with a gold heart, he helped me through a lot and I trusted him with my life. He knew about all my insecurities, how I don't like my legs, how I can't stand the way I talk, how I'm always awkward at making conversations with boys, and how I hate laughing in front of people because it made me feel that they are laughing at me not with me. He knew everything that's why he used them to hurt me, but he doesn't knew that I liked him so much and I thought that we would be the perfect couple growing up. That's exactly what made my pain raise to the higher level. But this is all in the past and now I'm sitting with my fingers interlocked with hims.

"For the hundredth time Lauren, I'm truly sorry for all the fucked up things that I've done. You have to know that I need you in my life. I need my best friend back. Do you remember how much we were close? You told me everything without regrets and I did that also. I'm sorry if things turned up so bad and I ended up dumping you, but I'm correcting my mistakes. You are my life Lauren, you've always been." I couldn't fight the tears any longer when he said the last two sentences, he didn't even know how much he's putting his finger on the faded scars and it's hurting me. Like a fucking bitch.

"You too. You don't even know what you've done to me. But I won't keep on rubbing this in your face every time you talk to me. Let's take a fresh start. I forgive you Ashton. I want to be friends with you again." I didn't even know how these words came out of my mouth, I'm letting the one who betrayed me and made my life hell, again in my life and I don't know the consequences of this, but a part of me is still trusting him.

"Thank you so much. I can't thank you enough for that, I'm so happy, my God." His smile enlightened the whole room with his brightness and he wrapped his arms around me engulfing me in a tight hug. I missed his hugs so much. I missed him.
