It's lonely here, without you. My life seems so much quieter, even though I'm busier than I've ever been, with the new job. Having you around made all the difference- the energy you brought, our conversations and our laughter. My new home just feels empty, more often than not.

Do you remember when we used to sneak out, the two of us? How you'd wait just out of the view of my parents' window, so that they couldn't see you, but I could?

Just two kids, sneaking kisses in the urban darkness.

I wish things were as simple now as they were then.

But it can't be.

Not when we both still have our dreams and futures so bright ahead of us... we choose to chase those, rather than chasing love.

For now, we have to be apart- we made that choice. But someday... maybe someday things will be different; and everything will become easy again.

I don't know, but I can hope. I guess that only time will tell if we really were meant to last.
