40. Carter
"We need to find a way to communicate with other magicians. We need an army to defend ourselves from Ayan, and we need more magicians to tap into the god's power, not be afraid of it." I said suddenly.
"Carter's right," Bast said. "We need a way to find kids willing to come here."
"We can record a video!" Sophia suggested. "Telling them their magicians, demo some magic, and they should come to Brooklyn!"
"1) Mortal video tapes don't record magic. 2) They'll think it's a prank video. And 3) we can't send it to every student in every school in the world. The mortals will get one, and we'll have a huge complaint from the other houses about exposing magicians." Alyssa said.
"Actually, I have my King Tut amulet; maybe he knew about our future." Sophia said.
"Yeah, that makes sense. I'm pretty sure Tut Amulets can grant you unlimited power, and are attracted to magician. Once a magician has declared its purpose filled, it moves on to the closest magician, and the process repeats itself." Bast explained.
"Perfect! But if we hand an amulet to a handful of magicians, how will they even know how to use it?" Don asked.
"My Gran and Gramps gave me a recording tape for Christmas. We can record our story on that, and send it in a box with the amulet to the nearest school; they should come by the dozens once it gets going." Aria suggested.
"Great! We'll start recording right away!" I said.
And know you know. You can guess what happened afterwards. By wearing the amulet, you gain the power of every Egyptian god ( to a degree of course; we didn't want to burn a 7 year old). Learn it's powers quickly, and leave the tape in the locker. Write a note to the person you first see the amulet pull towards, and explain where the tape is. Our story will do the rest. You may be the first to hear our story, you may be the last. Who knows? Just come here quick. Apep is gaining strength, and the world won't stand a chance with your help.
