Abraham leads Leda to a swamp during the night, poisonous snakes avoid them as if they are scared of Abraham and Leda.  They stop as something large slithers ahead of them, Abraham pulls Leda behind a tree and lightly covers her mouth. "shhh." Says Abraham as the slithering Hydra hisses and slithers into the water heading for it's burrow. "We have a short amount of time... through those four trees that are black and look like they are decaying is a traditional Hydra Nest." says Abraham as Leda looks nervous. "But what if i get caught?" asks Leda. "You won't, just be swift and careful. and wear this." says Abraham as he takes a necklace with two sharp fangs off and places it around Leda's neck. "This will protect you, just be careful." says Abraham, Leda nods and walks slowly then quickly to the decaying trees.

Leda pokes her head from behind the tree and looks at mounds of dirt, each mound holding a giant pearl shaped egg roughly 18 eggs in each mound. "Only one, okay Leda you can do this." she says to herself and breaths in and out and dashes in to find at least one mound to take one egg. After what feels like three minutes she finds one mound in the center, however this mound is rather small considering the rest. She bends down onto her knees and starts to dig it up finding only one brown stone like egg, she holds it up in her hand and feels the warmth coming from the egg. She then stands up and holds it close to her body to keep it warm and runs for her life. 

Abraham walks around and waits for Leda as he then notices a half buried wooden chest, he then bends down and starts to remove it from the dirt. The lock looking as if it was made during the Victorian era, and brought to the Americas is moderately good condition. "Spiritus, give me a small drop of Dragon's flames." says Abraham as Spiritus's crested head comes out of Abraham's shadow and opens his jaw slightly. From Spiritus's open jaws comes a liquid green flame, that smells of a strong citric acid. The liquid flames drop onto the lock immediately causing the metal to melt rather rapidly, once the lock is removed Abraham opens the chest along with a curious Spiritus they both look inside to view a kitten sized Dragon egg. Abraham picks the egg up and looks at all the notches on the shell. He then puts the egg back in the chest and immediately hides it in his jacket. "Abraham, We need to go now." says Leda as she pants, a loud hissing sound comes from Leda causing her to turn around slowly to see a Hydra raise it's seven heads and hiss at her and Abraham. Spiritus however was not intimidated by the Hydra's display and got out of his illusion and reared on his hind legs. He opened all four of his wings making a giant X with his spread out wings and with that a ring of flames burst up from the ground caused by Spiritus, the adult Hydra then reared all it's seven heads in submission to the X winged Shaded Dragon. "Leda, go to the Hydra and tell it that you will be the protector of the Hydras." says Abraham. Leda looks worried, she shakes her head and casts her fears aside and steps up boldly to the Hydra. "Oh great and mighty Hydra of this swamp, my name is Leda Anouk and I have been chosen to be the rightful Queen of the Hydras. I promise by each and every head you will grow that I will stop at nothing to protect your race." says Leda as she bows to the Hydra. The Hydra who was very shocked in seeing this human girl want to become the Queen of the Hydras. It reared back and began to commerce with it's heads, finally all the heads seem to agree and bow in respect to Leda. "Leda Anouk, Queen of the Hydras take care of this egg as if it is your own." says the middle head of the Hydra to Leda. "I will." says Leda. The Hydra then slithers away as the flames die down. "He was actually very nice." says Leda as they both walk back to the castle while Spiritus fly's back.

"Leda, now that you have found the egg, you must now do this step. You must sleep with the egg close to your chest each night." says Abraham. "Why close to my chest?" asks Leda. "So the Hydra can familiarize your heart beat, as a young Hydra it is dependent on the Mother's heart beat. You need it to become accustomed to yours." says Abraham as he holds the chest behind his back and slowly walks away not breaking eye contact with Leda as he enters the study. "I know I might of said this before, but that guy is very....Odd. Sometimes I think he actually lives in there." says Lena as she goes up to her room and sets the egg on the bed and stares at it. "Seven days and then you hatch." says Leda. Abraham sets the chest on a desk and opens it back up and looks at the egg, he lifts it up carefully and brings it to a blanket that is curled and looks like a makeshift nest. He sets the egg in the center and smiles. "A protector is definitely what you are. Take your time, you will be amazing and I know that for a fact... Newt, now that's a name for you." says Abraham as he lightly pets the egg.
