Trey leads Alexa through the warren of corridors to where Mark awaits their company. Blaze is the only other person to come with them fully. The other four were stopped further up the hall. Alexa didn't think they needed to be there for the whole meeting.
Trey opens the door and moves aside. He's still not sure about Alexa's plan, but he's going to go along with it.
Alexa passes him and stops in front of Mark, who is looking decidedly worse for the wear. "Mark, when I found out you were the traitor it really surprised me. Of all the men it could be, you were the one that has the most to lose. The only one that has a family that would be punished along with you. Do you really care so little for them that you were willing to betray Trey?"
Part of the reason Alexa is so good at her interrogations, she plays mind games. Trey knows that she'll break Mark in a way that he'll never be able to. Already Mark is reacting to Alexa's words far more than he'd managed.
"I made a bad choice, Miss Alexa. Then I had no choice." Mark watches warily as Alexa walks over and looks at the different instruments available for causing pain. He turns white as she makes a selection.
Alexa looks over the knife and checks the sharpness before nodding. Mark blanches whiter than before. Then Alexa puts it down and Mark lets out a silent sigh of relief.
"The problem with your choice is, it caused the death of three innocents, two of your fellow members and the wounding of several others, including your boss and myself. Damn near killed Jeremy. Now tell me, what bad choice made it so you betrayed us all?"
Mark swallows as Alexa picks up another tool. He answers rapidly. "I just wanted to see what the gambling hell was like. I didn't think it would be a big deal. I didn't understand why the boss said not to go."
"All Ken's businesses are more crooked than Lombardi Street. Even the legit businesses are corrupted. I'm having a hell of a time finding anything to salvage out of them. Ken couldn't tolerate anything legal to save his life.
"Trey ordered you to stay away from his establishments to protect you, but you didn't listen and now here you are." Alexa walks away from the tools and goes to stand in front of Mark. Bending down she whispers, "And not just you."
Alexa stands and says, "Blaze, have them brought in."
Trey watches impassively. This next part is where Mark is going to wish he'd never been born. He waits as Blaze has the other four brought in.
Alexa waits for them to come in then talks to Mark once more. Mark looks on in horror as his wife and daughter are brought before him blindfolded and hands tied. "Boss, Miss Alexa, please, I beg of you, do whatever you want to me. I admit I deserve it all, but not them. They are innocent, they didn't even know that I was out gambling. Please, they are innocent."
"So was the young lady that was the first to die at the restaurant. So was the young man that had a girlfriend and a baby on the way. The young lady was an only child. Her future was bright, she was doing well in school, had some good friends. She loved life.
"The young man was looking forward to being a father. Now the girlfriend will have to find a way to take care of a baby and herself on her own. Neither one had parents that would help.
"That's not to mention the rest. So tell me, why did you betray Trey? Why did you betray me and the others?"
"Mr. Worthington threatened my wife and daughter. I couldn't let them be hurt."
"Dad? You betrayed Mr. Matthews and Miss Alexa because you went gambling? You promised mom that you wouldn't gamble anymore." Katie cries out in pain.
"Katie, please, it was a moment of weakness. I didn't plan on it."
Katie refuses to speak to her father anymore but her sobs could be heard.
Mark turns his attention to his wife, "Brianna, please, forgive me?"
"You aren't the man that I married. I don't know who you are anymore, Mark." At her words Mark deflates. Sagging against his restraints he starts to cry softly.
Alexa smiles nastily. "Take them out, let the men have their fun." Her words make the men holding the females smirk and brings Mark upright in shock.
"No, please Miss Alexa, spare them. Do what you will to me, but please spare them."
"Just like the innocents were spared? Sorry, you know the price of betraying your boss."
Short time later the screams of females are heard. That's when Marks gives out his own screams and fights to get out of his restraints one last time. Alexa and Trey just look on amused.
Alexa looks over to Blaze once the screaming had gone on for some time, "Tell them to stop the screaming would you, Blaze?" Immediately Blaze leaves the room and after that silence descends in the room.
"Thank goodness, their screams were becoming annoying. Now I've got a headache," Alexa says.
"Would you like a back rub?" Trey asks solicitously.
"Sounds nice, but it will have to be later." Alexa says and gives Trey a small smile, but Trey can see the pain in her eyes.
"Then how about this to help?" Trey says then gives her a kiss. They are both so caught up in the kiss that they both forgot that they aren't alone and where they are.
It's the clearing of a throat that brings them back to the here and now. "Later." Trey says softly and steps away.
They look at the defeated man before them. Marks had given up completely as he heard Katie calling for him and he couldn't do anything. He's now completely broken.
After looking him over Alexa nods in acceptance. "He's yours to do with as you will, Trey. I need to deal with this headache."
"I'll meet you home in a few then." Trey says and gives her another toe curling kiss. He waits for Blaze to tell him that Alexa and the others are out of the building before he takes his gun out and shoots Mark.
