You laugh at how excited your best friend is when he comes off stage.
"Oh my gosh Y/N that was so fun! I feel amazing. I love performing."
"Trevor! Calm down! Breathe for a second," you laugh. You squeal when he picks you up, spinning you around in a circle. When he puts you down you look away, trying not to blush too hard.
Trevor has been your best friend for years. You don't want to ruin it by him suddenly finding out you've got feelings for him.
"Y/N? What's wrong?" It doesn't seem like you're going to have much choice though.
"Nothing! I'm so excited for you!" you try to change the subject. He isn't having any of it though.
"No way, tell me what's going on." He crosses his arms and stares at you, waiting.
You look at the floor, unable to meet his eyes and lie to him. "It's nothing. I just have a crush on this guy is all, and lately I've been feeling like he's never going to want me back. But I don't want this to ruin your night! It was your first concert and we need to celebrate that."
It isn't technically a lie. You are worried he won't want you and you don't want it to ruin his night.
"Well, that's kind of a bummer," he mutters. You look up at him, frowning.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean I like you. As more than a friend," he blushes, and it's his turn to look down now. "But if you like this guy, you should go for it. He would have to be an idiot not to want you."
You're stunned for a second. But then you tell him, "I guess you're an idiot then."
He looks back up at you, confused.
"Trevor I like you. You're the guy I'm crushing on."
He smiles again at that. You can't help but smile back at him. "So," he says. "I can officially ask you out now?"
You giggle and nod, happier than you have been in weeks.
"Y/N, will you please go out with me?"
"You know I will Trevor, you know I will."
