Looking ahead of the lands, Kion and Rani admired the beautiful picture ahead of them, the tall grass swiftly swaying in the breeze, the tall rocky mountain reaching as high as the sky which was now turning a nice pink contrasting with blue, the stars twinkling, one by one they started to shine over the Tree Of Life. Apart from the crickets chirping in the grass, the night has been quiet, peaceful, it was nice to have some peace once again, when news broke about Kion's second near death experience, everyone was concerned, but Rani was more concerned, she kept second thinking herself, 'what if Kion did die? Who would look after the cubs?', but Rani knew she needed to forget that because it's not true, Rani turned around and stared at Kion who was looking up at the sky with a smoke on his face, he was cute, his short cut mane flapping amongst the breeze, examining his body there were a few scars, that'll eventually cover up, his scar on his left eye was stitched back together and would soon heal, but it was scary to look and think about what Kion's been through, he lost a bit of the roar too, and so he'll need to go back to training to receive some of the powers back, although he doesn't need it, Rani thought it'll be the safe option. Apart from the drama the story turned out to be good, Karla was saved, but she would need some therapy, at her age it would be traumatic for her, Makini suggested Kion for some therapy too, but being Kion, he was stubborn and said he was fine. But time will only tell. Blinking to his senses Kion finally realizes that Rani's chocolate brown eyes were looking at him, lost in her thoughts and dreams.

"What?", Kion said with a smile on his face.

"Oh nothing, just glad your home safe and sound", Rani said still staring at him.

"Really?", Kion said with a cheeky look on his face, without warning he pounced on Rani, tackling her down the hill as they lay there,

"Glad I'm alive?", Kion said chuckling,

"Not just me, but so do the rest of the family, friends, the Day and Night Pride and everyone here", Rani said being a smart ass.

"Hmm      Well      I think I'll stay", Kion said rolling his eyes,

"You better stay or else", Rani said playfully slapping his face,

Kion rubbed it and complained. He was about to playfully slap her when they were interrupted,

"Mum, dad?, can you tell us a story before bed?", Karla moaned,

Kion and Rani stared at each other and giggled, they got up and walked towards their daughter,

"Of course dear, maybe your father has a few stories in mind, that's cub friendly?", Rani said quickly cutting off Kion's thoughts,

"Yeah, I have a few stories, what do you want to hear?",
Kion said still annoyed he can't tell the boys about the adventures he had patrolling the Pride Lands and the danger he got into.

They walked into the tree as the two other cubs waited patiently for the other three to enter.

"We would like to hear how you two met", Karla said smiling showing her pristine white teeth, Kion and Rani blushed, looking at each other they scoffed and looked back down, their eyes so innocent and persuasive.

"Haven't we told you that before?", Kion said trying to change the genre, but it was no luck, the cubs pounded immediately, their faces telling them they weren't happy.

"Alright, alright", Kion said trying to win them over. They walked over to the rock and sat down.

"It all started when me and the Lion Guard had to defeat a great evil, Scar. He returned to the Pride Lands to try and hurt our family...",

"But you destroyed him", Carlos said re-enacting the final battle",

"Yes, yes I did", Kion chuckled,

"But we may not be here If Mufasa, your great grandfather told me on how to defeat him. So I listened to his advice, never fight fire with fire, and that's how I managed to out smart him and bring him down, but in doing so I managed to get this", Kion said pointing to his scar,

"Terrible", Karla declared,

"I think he looks cute", Rani said smiling,

"I reckon he looks more fierce", Rafi said,

"Yes, yes I do", Kion bravely announced, sitting up and acting brave.

"But if it wasn't for this unfortunate incident, I wouldn't of met your mother, I had to be healed and the only way possible was here, at the Tree Of Life; so me, Fuli, Besthe, Bunga, Ono, Anga and Makini set off to find this majestic place, it took us a very long time and I did some wrong things but my friends set me straight and helped me get here, but when we got here we accidentally set a rock slide and the Night Pride thought we were here to hurt them and their animals",

"But you wouldn't do that?", Karla said,

"It was because I lost control over the roar, I roared Uncle Baliyo and sent him flying, so Rani has banished us from the lands, although me and Ono needed to be healed Rani didn't trust us and I couldn't blame her, but it was your grandmother Queen Janna that told your mother about us and our past that she let us in, but we brought some bad friends along and...",

"Makuthca!...", Carlos said shaking his head",

Kion looked at Rani who looked down at Karla, she was staring at the ground, her face showed no emotion when her attacker was mentioned, she looked up and stared at them,

"Why'd you stop?", Karla announced,

Oh, sorry dear", Kion stated, clearing his throat and continuing,

"At first we hardly got along, we would always get in each others way and mess things up but when I was finish with my healing and my mind was getting clear and back to normal that was when me and Rani found a bond, a connection I guess you could say, we found Upendi", Kion said rubbing his face among hers, 

"Me and your father fought off Makuthca and his friends and through that we got stronger, closer, when your grandmother passed away I thought I couldn't be queen, I wasn't up for it. But your father was here for me and pushed me to be a queen, and that's when I decided he would be a good king",

"A good King?", Kion mocked, shaking his head and looking away ashamed,

"Sorry, a great King, not only a great king, but a great leader and now a great father, without him things would be different", Rani said eyeing him down.

"Yeah, and I love my queen very much", Kion said,

The cubs looked up and knew what was coming,

"Ugh", Karla said shivering,

"What about us?", Rafi cried out,

"Yes, I love you too, all of you, Rani, the Tree Of Life, my friends, family and the life I have, especially the life I have now, I mean talk about cats having nine life's?", Kion laughed,

"Yeah, you only have seven left, don't use them all up to quickly", Rani chuckled,

"I promise", Kion said holding out his paw which was taken by Rani,

"And that's how you must appreciate the life you have, as the future leaders of this land, the next generation you got to embrace the present and enjoy what you have, we'll be here to guide you so you won't be alone. None of you will be, even when we do move on, you'll never be alone", Kion said grabbing everyone and bringing them in closer hugging them, embracing the moment as a shed of tear rolled down his cheek.
