The smell overwhelmed Kion, the smell of the sweet rivers flowing towards the waterfall that's crashing into the calm lake below, the maple trees were different Kion never seen such trees before, the pink sky and blue clouds made Kion feel like he was dreaming, was he?

'What is this?', Kion thought, walking around discovering the new land, small antelopes pranced around the lake, they looked happy, they have found peace it seems, Kion looked up to the tree tops to the birds chirping quietly. Kion went across to the lake and looked into his reflection, he rubbed his face; his scar was gone Kion was back to normal but no.

"Karla!", Kion suddenly remembering, he looked around hoping to see her long lost daughter,

"Karla!", Kion yelling out, it was so loud it was scaring the birds off and signalling the antelope there was someone here, danger. He began running, screaming now calling out his daughter's name. Kion searched everywhere but no luck, no scent, no sign of her, not even a shed of fur, he soon stopped by the lake and reflected on his past decisions.

"N-no", Kion cried.

"No, It can't be, Karla I-is dead", Kion sobbed, soon breaking into an emotional wreak.

"I-I didn't sa-save her I-In time", his heart was broken, stuttering as he mourned over his daughters death.

"Daddy?", Karla cries were faint, but Kion was immediately alerted, Kion sobbed to a halt and listened closely, was he imagining?

"Daddy? Where are you?", Karla's voice now loud and clear, also now crying.

"Karla? Baby I'm here", Kion said getting up on his feet and running towards the sound of his daughter,

"Daddy I'm scared",

"I'm coming Karla!",

"Daddy!", Karla's screams getting louder but the tone sounded the same, she can't hear Kion, she didn't respond with any cheer, just the same old scared voice;

"Daddy, help me!", Karla cried,

"I'm coming deer, hold on", Kion screamed, trying to match her tone, he finally reached the mountain, he was about to run off it but managed to dig his claws into the ground and spun around but it wasn't enough, sliding off the cliff and barely holding on, the only thing stopping him and certain death was a small branch sticking out, he looked down and saw Karla stranded on a small island in the middle of the two mountains, helpless and scared.

"Daddy where are you?", Karla repeated over and over again.

"I'm here Karla, look up!", Kion yelled trying to pull himself up, than Kion remembered he had leant  new tricks with the roar and tried to roar himself a small tornado to reach Karla but nothing but a squeak came out, just like when he was a cub.

"No, my roar? Its gone", Kion said now getting more scared.

"Hold on Karla, I'm coming", Kion yelled, but it was no use, Karla didn't know he was there, she can't see him. Kion managed to pull himself up, his heart racing, quickly to turn around and work out an idea,

"Daddy what's happening?",
Karla's voice trembling and getting further away.

"No~, Karla~!", Kion said trying to grab her with his voice outstretching, but it was no use; If he leaped he would fall straight into the canyon and simply die.

"Kion!", Mufasa said enthusiastically,

Kion turned around to see Mufasa standing behind him in person.

"Grandfather Mufasa?", Kion said, his eyes bloodshot red as tears rolled down his cheek, shocked to see him.

"Kion, what's wrong?", Mufasa spoke,

"Its-It's Karla, I can't get to her, she is in danger", Kion said, looking back down to see Karla's rock starting to crumble away,

"No~", Kion screamed and cried, the feeling of not able to do anything overwhelmed him as he nearly chocked on his own tears.

"Kion, Kion", Mufasa stated, trying to clam him down, but Kion didn't listen, instead smashing the ground and throwing a massive tantrum, 

"Kion listen to me", Mufasa said slapping him in his face, Kion's eyes widened, shocked that he did such a thing,

"Look, Karla is safe", Mufasa assured him,

"No she is not, look at her, she is going to die and there is nothing I can do!",

"Kion, she is safe, I swear on your father's life", Mufasa said sitting down overlooking her great granddaughter.

"And how do you know she is safe?", Kion said trying to clam down,

"Because Kion, it's not her that's in danger...it's you", Mufasa said now facing him,

"What do you mean?", Kion said confused,

"Well Kion, your on the verge of dying, Karla there is the only thing that is saving you from dying, Mufasa said pointing to Karla.

"So your telling me I'm dead?", Kion said, his voice now scared and angry.

"No, not yet, but that's completely up to you", Mufasa said with a smile on his face,

"How can you remain so calm, I'm dying", Kion asked angrily,

"Because Kion, were in heaven", Mufasa said smiling once again,

"But I'm not ready", Kion cried out,

Mufasa ignored Kion's cries and instead pointed to Karla and shook his head.

"She has a good life ahead of her you know, Queen of the Tree Of Life and leader of the Night Pride, It'll be a shame if she grew up without a father to lead her", Mufasa sighed.

"I want to be there, I don't want to die", Kion pleaded,

"Please Mufasa there must be some way I can get to her, what about Rani? My family and friends, I don't want to loose them", Kion said now interrogating his grandfather.

"Kion, all you have to simply do is wake up".
