The sun rays, so radiant it can kill an Orax within a few hours if left in the sun flowed onto the Savanna, the  sun rising quickly, touching all ends of the Pride Lands, today was the day that they'll reunite with Karla, it's been two weeks since she was taken by Makuthca, but now she'll be home safe, so help them kings of the past.

Rafiki rose from his tree, overlooking the plains in search for a group of lions marching towards who knows where, but what he saw was completely strange, questionable and indeed worried, there in the distance was a leopard, it didn't look like Makuthca, it was female, her body very slim and long, her tail swinging swiftly in the heat waves, 'what if it's one of Makuthca's? Someone is gotta warn Kion' and so Rafiki grabbed his staff and took off to Pride Rock.

Everyone was still asleep, snoring away as the light finally reaches the rock, peeping inside and warming up the lair, the main room and the sleeping quarters, Kion was the first to wake up, it was a long time since Kion felt this much heat at once, being in the Tree Of Life has it's speciality, cool and plenty of shades, he missed the Pride Lands. The animals, heat and of course his family, but what he did miss most of all was his daughter, the future queen to the Tree Of Life, without her, Kion was incomplete, guilty and without a future queen it'll have to be Carlos. Stretching his legs Kion looked around, Kiara by his side asleep still, Nala and Simba fast asleep in their corner; Kion walked out, seeing the Pride Lands so peaceful, quiet and beautiful, but a figure looming from the horizon came into Kion's stat of mind, it was Rafiki, in the corner of his eye he saw the Lion Guard coming out of the lair, something was happening and Kion was inquisitive to know, he leaped down and joined Vitani and her guard, "Morning Vitani",

"Good Morning Kion, how are you?",

" I'm alright, just wanting to see what Rafiki wants",

Vitani squinted her eyes as she saw the baboon get closer and closer,

"Rafiki?, what is it?",

"Kion, Vitani, there Is a leopard on it's way here",

Now fully alerted Kion stood up and looked ahead,

" Could it be Makuthca?", Vitani stated.

"No, it's a female Leopard", Rafiki said trying to catch a breath.

" It still could be apart of Makuthca's clan, Vitani wake everyone up and meet me by the watering hole",

"Yes Kion",

Kion ran off, he was ready to take on anything by himself. But he wasn't as stupid. This could be a trap and so he may need help, meanwhile Vitani ran into the rock, waking up Simba and Nala and informing them of the situation, everyone didn't think twice and ran out to join Kion.

Kion stopped at the watering hole and looked ahead, there in the mist of dust and heat waves was the female Leopard, Kion couldn't wait any longer, his ego getting the better of him, he ran towards her and roared, the roar creating a small tornado of dust that stopped the leopard, she stopped, surprised, Kion tensed up and entered a fighting a stance. Showing the enemy he was ready, adrenaline pumping all over his body.

" Who are you? And what do you want?", Kion yelled at her in a strong angry tone,

"Hey, calm down, I'm not looking for a fight",

"Than what do you want",

The leopard took a deep breath and spoke;

"My name is Mariana, Makuthca's ex partner... I know where your daughter is held".

Kion's face turned from an angry expression to a shocked, confused and clam expression,

" You know where my daughter is?", Kion said.

"Yes, and I can lead you to her", Mariana said

"And why should I trust
you? ", Kion said getting back to a defensive stance,

"Because your daughter depends on it",

"Why should I believe you?",

Mariana rolled her eyes and said that Makuthca is about to kill her, her words made Kion angy and impatient, he leaped on her, showing her teeth, fazing back to the days where he lost control.

"Where is she? Tell me or else", Kion roared.

"Well I'll show you if you get off me", Mariana said, showing no sign of being scared.

The rest arrived to see the leopard being interrogated by Kion, with instinct they surrounded her,

"Who is she and what does she want?", Simba asked,

" My name is Mariana and I want to direct you to your grand daughter",

Gasp filled the air as they heard the news,

"How do we know your not tricking us?", Simba said

"Because, I'm Makuthca's Ex and I hate him and just because I'm a leopard, doesn't mean I'm bad, I respect the circle of life".

Kion got off her and went over to Simba and Nala, the rest circled Mariana, not letting her escape.

"Can we trust her?", Simba said

" I don't know, but she is the only lead we have and we gotta do something",

"What if it's a trap?", Nala announced,

"Than we'll prepare, send Ono to search and if Makuthca is where she said he is than we know she isn't lying", Kion said,

"Sounds good to me", Simba said. Kion turned around and spoke, this time in a smart way,

" okay, you said you know where they are?",

"Yes, I do",

"Tell me than",

" they are at my place, south of Hakuna Matata Falls, near Mbali fields",

"Okay, Ono, see if you can spot them",

"Affirmative" Ono said and took off,

Searching the skies for the place, zooming in and looking,

"Kion", Ono yelled,

"Did you find something?", Kion said hopeful

" Not quite, I see a cave but no one is near",

Kion turned to Mariana and growled,

"You lied", his ears were pricked back, ready to pounce",

"Wait...", Ono screamed

"What is it Ono?",

"I see one of Makuthca's friends",

Kion backed off, relieved and is now ordering groups,

"See told ya", Mariana said cockily",

"Don't get your hopes up",

"Let's go", Kion said impatiently.

"Wait, you don't know what your getting yourself into",

" I think I do", Kion said

"No, he placed traps and I know where to go, you don't",

"Well, we'll have to take a chance with that, plus we have Ono",

"Let me come, I know him more than you, let me help",

"No, you have done more than enough".

"Suit yourself, but if Karla dies, don't blame me",

" What did you say?", Kion's tone Darkening, like the sky, he was about to use the roar.

"I...", Mariana was cut off from speaking with Kion's claws by her throat,

"Don't you say her name, ever!".

"Sorry your Majesty".

"Good, now let's go".
