Boyf Riends- Spider-Man AU pt2

"Jeremy! I got it! I got it! Yes yes yes!" Michael slammed open Jeremy's front door, jumping with excitement, giving Jeremy a mini heart attack.

"I got the job! Oh my god," he paused, clutching his chest. "I'm gonna die of happiness."

Jeremy chuckled, then pulled his boyfriend into a hug. "That's awesome! I'm so excited for you!"

That was two weeks ago. Jeremy was currently on patrol, and he was perched on a ledge, watching his boyfriends office building. He tugged at the mask around his head, pulling it down more.

Michael had gotten a job that sounded perfect for him. High paying for a high school student, over all a good company, and he was doing something he loved; Creating video games and computer tech.

Jeremy had thought it was a perfect job for Michael. Until he did some research.

IP, the company Michael worked at, was sister companies with SQU; the same company that created The Squip.

Jeremy knew they were up to something. He just had to figure out what. Jeremy thought back to their fight a few days ago.

"-but all in all, Im super excited about the new project my boss put me on. It's something to do with upgrading all of our old tech, and he said that he needed my kinda smarts.... Are you even listening to me?"

Jeremy perked up a bit on his couch. "O-oh yeah. Um, you were saying something about your boss?"

Michael sighed. "Seriously, what's up with you man? You've been acting shady ever since... ever since...." he looked up at Jeremy, who was blushing profusely at his glare. "Are you... jealous of me?"

"W-what? No! No, that's not it."

"Then what is it?"

Jeremy sighed, and turned away. "I just don't want you to get hurt."

"What does that even mean? Why would I get hurt?"

"The company you work at! It's bad news, dude. Trust me."

"Jeremy. The worst thing to happen there, was a virus that whipped out my computer for a day. The company isn't bad!"

At this point, both boys were standing, fists at their sides, voices raised.

"I just want to protect you!"

"Oh, that's it? You just want to protect me? I'm not some damsel in distress, Jeremy. I don't need saving from my job!"

Michael stormed towards the door, leaving behind a broken hearted Jeremy.

Jeremy had noticed weird things happening at the IP. The most important being people disappearing. They would enter, but they would never leave. This had been happening for a few days now, and even though he'd tried to tell Michael, he wouldn't listen.

Jeremy watched as people left IP, on their way home. Jeremy waited for the familiar red hoodie to waltz out, but he never came.

At first, Jeremy had just thought, ''maybe his newest project is taking longer than expected'. But when Michael didn't come out after an hour had passed, he got worried.

Jeremy texted his dad telling him he'd be late. He left his phone on the building, and then he jumped over to the IP building, landing somewhat gracefully.

Quietly, he made his way down the floors, until he made his way to the lobby. He stopped once he heard voices.

"Are the test subjects ready?"

"Yes sir. I put the talkative girl first in the chair." Rich's monotoned voice could be heard, but Jeremy couldn't see him just yet.

"Perfect."

The Squip sent his minion off, presumably to get ready for whatever test he had created. The Squip then grabbed a cane, and walked off, following Rich.

Jeremy followed behind them, all the way down to where he was keeping the 'test subjects'. Jeremy quickly got on the ceiling, trying to get a better view. He saw that the schools gossip, Jenna Rolan, was already in a giant, metal chair, struggling against the straps.

The Squip entered, carrying what looked like a small pill in his hands.

"Don't worry, Jenna. This will make you be appreciated. This will make others want to hear about your life. Trust me."

Jenna looked on in a hypnotic state, before she was given the pill with a fizzy, green drink.

She let out a horrible scream, going limp in the chair before slowly sitting back up. She gave a horrible grin as the chair unleashed her. She walked over to The Squip, and fell to her knees.

"I'll do whatever you wish, master."

Jeremy let out a low gasp when he saw Rich carrying a weak, bruised Michael. Michael was then placed in the chair, but before Rich could do the straps, Jeremy jumped down in front of The Squip.

"Sorry, looks like there are some bugs in your computer."

"Spider-Man." The Squip growled.
"You're a bit late, but you're just in time to watch the best part!"

"Ah yes, my favorite! I love watching the bad guys fail." Jeremy back flipped onto Rich's shoulders. "This pill isn't up to code. Try again!"

He smashed it to the ground, causing Rich, Jenna, and The Squip to cry and fall to the ground in pain.

"Rich! Get him! Protect the others! And don't let him destroy more!" The Squip roared.

Rich's eyes went blue as he raced towards Jeremy. Jeremy dodged all of his attacks, before seeing the boxes that The Squip was talking about.

"Hey, which ones am I not supposed to destroy?" He smirked, grabbing the boxed and smashing them all to the ground. The room was filled with terrible screams once more, getting louder and louder as Jeremy smashed more.

Smashing the final box, he looked up, satisfied. The smile was whipped from his face, when he saw The Squip standing next to Michael, holding a metallic pill.

"No!" Jeremy shot his webs, knocking the pill from the villains hand. Both glanced at each other before racing to get it.

Jeremy reached it first, and stomped it to the ground.

"T-thIs iSn'T oVeR spIdeR-mAn!" The Squip glitched before falling to the floor in a pile of smoke and compute chips. He was stopped. At least, Jeremy hoped he was.

He heard a groan and sprinted to Michael, quickly getting him out.

"Jere? Wha-" coughs racked his body.

"Shush. I've got you now. I'm gonna take you home, okay? I've got you."

Jeremy carried Michael home, making sure to be extra careful of Michael's injuries.

Laying Michael down on his bed, Jeremy pulled off his mask and kissed his boyfriends forehead.

"Goodnight, my little compute geek."

Jeremy climbed out the window, and slowly made his way home, tired after a long day at work.
