I Won't Lie To You
Walking through the halls of Beacon Hills High School, hand in hand with Jackson, Lydia couldn't imagine that life could be any better.
She was popular, pretty, had great friends and a hot boyfriend. What more could she ask for?
Once the bell rang, she gave Jackson one final kiss before heading to her first class of the day. The only thing she was hoping, was that no one unworthy of her attention would try speaking to her.
Unfortunately, it just didn't seem to be her day today.
"Lydia...and how are you doing on this fine, beautiful day in Beacon Hills?" The class clown, who's name she had forgotten rather quickly, greeted her.
Ugh, that was all she needed. If Jackson found out about this, not only would the nerd be dead but she would be too. He had a tendency of being the jealous type.
"Do I know you?" She quizzed coldly.
"Well you should by now but uhh...I'll reintroduce myself to you anyway. Hello Lydia, the name is Stilinski. Stiles Stilinski." He replied positively.
"Ew! What the heck is a Stilin-sty or whatever?" She questioned disgusted.
"It's Stilinski actually, and it's my family name." He corrected her, his behaviour still puppy like.
"Didn't need to know but okay." She brushed off.
She just could not be bothered with this idiot today. He always tried to talk to her, and each time he did always ended in disaster.
There was absolutely no point in him even trying and he should just give up right away before he got hurt. She couldn't help but feel a little bit sorry for him. After all, he couldn't help being at the bottom of the high school hierarchy.
The first time he had ever tried to speak to her was right in front of Jackson too, which was not a good move. He ended up having to scarper before he got a beating.
Part of her had always wanted to at least speak to him a little, just so that he looked less pathetic...but she knew that her boyfriend would never allow it.
Another part of her felt trapped by Jackson and kind of wished that there was something more...outside of everything that she knew, that she could explore.....
Many times before, he had gotten petty and jealous over small things, and he wasn't pleasant to be around if something ended up pissing him off.
It was the worst feeling ever, every single time that he got mad at her over nothing. She often struggled to understand exactly what it was that she was supposed to have done wrong.
Recently he had been furious with her for mixing with the kind of students that could tarnish his reputation. Though she couldn't see how her choices could affect his precious reputation. It wasn't like she often mixed with them.
Stiles had been so nice to her recently, lending her a pen when she had forgotten to bring one, and helping her pick up her books when Jackson had knocked them out of her hand before storming off in a rage.
Something about his kindness had began to make her rethink everything that she was used to. All the shoving, leaving threats and being yelled at...it began to get to her more now that someone had shown her that she was more than just a pretty play thing.
She wanted to talk to Stiles properly, to get to know him and maybe even become his friend...but she knew that if she did then Jackson would most definitely want to start a row, which she was trying to avoid.
By now she was used to this all...it had become her routine for the past year or so since getting together with Jackson. She decided that she wouldn't talk to Stiles too much, since she would do anything for her boyfriend...even put his wants and needs before her own.
