Chapter 20- Love and fear

SHAWN AND ROSALY

Monday dawned cold but sunny, and Rosaly left her apartment happy not to have to walk through huge blocks of snow. Her working day would begin at the school she was teaching, and as she walked toward the beautiful building with colorful walls, she thought about Shawn's phone call the night before. She missed him terribly. It was hard to sleep because she had longed for him to be there with her, and his words only made her need for him worse.

She needed to see him and Shawn had promised they would meet that day. He hadn't scheduled a time or place, so it could happen at any time, and that possibility made her anxious.

She had arrived at school at the same time as usual, and her students were already waiting for her to start with music, and like most of the time, one of Shawn's songs was chosen. Rosaly saw his picture printed on the cover of the CD that Adrianne had brought, and even in that picture, the strength of his traits were impacting on her. She was tempted to tell her students that she knew him, but she wisely didn't, because she had to preserve herself and Shawn from the publicity that would fall on both of them if something about their relationship was discovered, which would bring catastrophic consequences to her.

Her class ended, and as usual, Rosaly had a snack in the cafeteria near the school. Then she went to work watching the people on the streets distractedly.

After a few seconds, she noticed the same hooded man who had been standing near the Weekend for some time. Her heart almost failed, and Rosaly began to walk faster and faster, noticing that the boy was following her. She had changed direction, walking through streets she didn't know very well, wishing only to get rid of that inconvenient man. Fear terrified her, but she tried to keep her cool and her head. She hid in a building that was under construction, waiting for the boy to pass by her while she prayed quietly not to be discovered.

She waited a few seconds after he passed by, and Rosaly began to return through the same streets that brought her there. She was walking so fast that she almost ran, and by the time she got to the Weekend she was completely out of breath. She sat on the steps, trying to get her breathing back to normal, she didn't want anyone to notice her agitation. She heard someone call her by her name and was deadly pale by the fear. But when she looked up, she saw Shawn standing in front of her, looking at her intrigued. Rosaly stood up and threw herself into his arms, tears of relief rolling down her face.

- Hey, baby, what happened? Why are you like this? - Shawn asked worried about her crying crisis. Rosaly couldn't answer that question, and she stuck with him for a few seconds.

His smell was so good! And his hug even more. She wanted to stay like that forever and never leave the circle of those strong, protective arms. Then the enchantment passed and she had to explain what had happened to her that day.

- Could you see his face? - Shawn asked, rubbing Rosaly's arms up and down, trying to make her relax.

- No, he was wearing a black hoodie. Unfortunately, I couldn't see anything. - Rosaly responded apparently calmer.

- And do you have any idea why he was following you? - Shawn saw a shadow go through her eyes again.

- I have no idea, Rosaly's tone of voice made Shawn realize she wasn't telling the truth. There was something about that story that was terrifying her, and he couldn't tell what it was.

- Are you sure you don't know him? Maybe you saw him here at the Weekend, or maybe he's an admirer of your dance performances. - He was trying to help, but Rosaly shook her head saying.

- I have never seen him before. - Shawn looked at her and thought it best not to insist at that moment because it was obvious Rosaly didn't want to discuss it. - I need to go in. My shift starts in 10 minutes. - She said, checking her watch.

- Are you sure you don't want to go home? I can talk to your manager and explain that you're not well enough to work today.

- Thank you for caring, but this is my job, and therefore my responsibility. Besides, I don't want anyone here to know what happened.- self-sufficient, proud and brave, so that was Rosaly, Shawn thought, and he already loved each facet of her personality.

- It's okay. Let's go in then. - He put his hands on her back and walked her to the front door. He kissed her on the cheek and said:

- We'll talk later. - And Shawn went to sit down at his usual table.

Rosaly was so wrapped up in her personal drama, she didn't realize that she and Shawn had attracted all eyes to them. Lexy came towards her, with a smile from ear to ear adorning her pretty face, and asked:

- What did I miss or what didn't you tell me? When did you and that hot guy start to have a relation ship?

- Lexy, can we talk about this later? It's a long story and my shift is starting, Rosaly answered.

- It's okay. But, I must confess, I'm curious to know who the man behind the mask is. - Lexy referred to the disguise Shawn was wearing.

Rosaly didn't say anything, but she realized she'd have to be careful what she told Lexy. She couldn't put Shawn's disguise at risk.

She changed clothes and started serving customers immediately, and she noticed with relief that Shawn remained at his table. It was comforting to know that she had someone to lean on, especially at that moment when she felt so vulnerable.

Shawn watched Rosaly from a distance, and told himself how strong she was. Any girl would have succumbed to the desperate tone of events, but she seemed to be handling it well. She looked at her wristwatch, and realized he'd have to go back to the studio, and as soon as he noticed that Rosaly was free, he made a discreet sign for her to approach, and said:

-I'm going to my studio now, but I'll come back later.

- It's okay. - She said. And then Shawn gave her that wonderful smile, and her whole soul lit up Shawn had that power over her, making her day considerably better.

A while after Shawn had left, Rosaly interrupted her chores for her 30-minute snack, and she was bombarded with thousands of questions that Lexy asked her. Rosaly told her friend everything that had happened between her and Shawn, taking care to omit his identity.

When her working day was over, she picked up her things and headed for the exit. She found Shawn waiting for her, as he had promised. He gave her a kiss on the forehead and asked:

- Rosely, are you okay?

- Yeah, don't worry. I just want to get home, take a shower and fall into bed. She'd answered.

- That's what I want to talk to you about. I've been thinking, why don't you sleep in my apartment tonight? I don't like the idea of leaving you alone after what happened, and in my building we have security twenty-four hours a day. And you'd have all the privacy you wanted, because I hardly use this apartment except for professional reasons.

- I'm not sure that's a good idea. - Rosaly said protesting.

- Please, Rosely. I promise I won't bother you. You'll have the apartment to yourself, because I rarely sleep there. I'll be more comfortable that way. - It would be easy to give in to what he asked, but it seemed they were going too fast in that situation. Staying in Shawn's apartment implied an intimacy she wasn't ready for, even though he said it was for her safety. But how could she resist the appeal of that look? How could she say no to that young man who seemed to get everything out of her without even trying?

- Okay, but only for one night. I'll go back to my apartment tomorrow. - She finally gave in.

- Whatever you decide is fine with me. - Shawn then opened the car door and she came in. They went by her apartment first to pick up some stuff she might need, and then they went back to his apartment.

The building where Shawn lived was luxurious, Rosaly watched it in amazement. It had at least ten floors, and his apartment was on the fifth, so it was necessary to use the elevator or the stairs at the last chance to get to him. There was a strong security system to protect the residents, and each apartment had a password on the door that prevented any stranger from breaking in without being noticed first. There was also an alarm system, camera on all sides, and a group of trained men who watched who entered or left the building.

When Shawn opened the door to his apartment, Rosaly examined the inside, and realized that it was a very organized place. Although all the furniture was of good quality, and the apartment had just about everything you could imagine, Rosaly realized that it wasn't overly luxurious. The walls were white, and in the living room she could see that there was a huge picture of Shawn with a guitar in his hand, and in the middle of the room there was a piano, which he should use when he was composing. The kitchen had all the modernities that would make the happiness of any more sophisticated cook. There were the bedrooms, one for visitors and Shawn's. His room was typically male, no big surprises. There was a huge wardrobe where he kept his clothes and accessories, a double bed covered with a woolen bedspread and silk sheets. A desk he used for work, and a bookcase full of books, where there was a complete collection of Harry Potter

-You like Harry Potter, by the way. -- Rosaly noticed.

- I love it. Don't you? - he asked.

- I do, but not as much as you do. What's your favorite?

- The prisoner of Azkaban. Although I like all the others too. Do you have a favorite write?

- I have several, but I think I'll always prefer Sydney Sheldon, for his eloquence and ability to tell a good story.

- I've read several of his books, and he's really very good. What's you favorite book? - Shawn asked.

- Master of the game is definitely the best one.

- I'll try to remember that when I go buy some new book to read... Well, Rosely, you can pick any room you want for the night.

- I'll decide that later. - she said.

- I still have some work to finish at the studio, but I'll come back later and check on you. Are you gonna be okay here alone? - Shawn asked, looking worried.

- I'm a big girl now, Shawn. You're acting like my overprotective brother. - Rosaly said joking.

- Is that right? Is that how think about me now? Let me see if I can fix this. - He grabbed her by the waist, and without her waiting he glued his mouth onto hers, demanding an answer she couldn't help but get. Rosaly's hands buried themselves in his hair as their tongues dueled, seeking a physical satisfaction that was far from being achieved at that moment.

When Shawn separated from her, Rosaly had to hold on to him, for her head was spinning with the power of that kiss. Shawn approached her ear and said:

- Did that sound too fraternal to you? - and she couldn't answer.

As soon as she was alone, Rosaly packed up her things in the room next to Shawn's, and then decided to prepare a quick meal, finding everything she needed in his generously stocked refrigerator. Soon she felt tired and took a nap on the couch, waking up only two hours later. It was eight o'clock at night when she decided to take a bath, and as she wanted to relax she filled the bathtub with hot water and bath salts.

Shawn entered the apartment the instant Rosaly plunged her body into the fragrant, relaxing foam. He called her, and not getting an answer, searched all over the apartment and found her relaxing in the bathtub. Rosaly's vision underneath all that foam, completely naked, with her hair adorably stuck in the top of her head, sparked Shawn's imagination. He approached her carefully, not wanting to scare her, as she kept her eyes closed and had not noticed his presence. He positioned himself behind her and began to massage her tense shoulders. Rosaly opened her frightened eyes, and her gaze crossed Shawn's that seemed to burn her inside and out, causing Rosaly to begin to feel an unbearable heat beneath all that foam. Shawn had long, soft fingers that worked on her muscles with the same precision that he played a guitar or piano. Then she felt his hands abandon her shoulders, going down her lap, past her breasts, and when he came down a little lower than her navel she was almost begging him to get into the tub with her. But he pulled his hands out of the water and said in her ear:

- Now you're relaxed. I'll let you finish your bath in peace. - He left her completely horny and alone in the bathtub.

Rosaly could kill him for teasing her like that, but she knew it was all part of his seduction game that instead of pissing her off, it turned her on even more.

She waited a few seconds for her heart to regain its normal beat. She got out of the bathtub, wiped herself dry, put on a robe over the lacy underwear she was wearing, and went to the room where Shawn was waiting for her.

When he entered the room, he was sitting on the piano, looking relaxed, and as soon as he saw her he started playing and singing Mercy.

Rosaly was mesmerized by his magnetism, and she couldn't take her eyes off Shawn. How beautiful he was! she thought. The traces of his face were incredibly harmonious, and that look he cast at her disarmed her, struck her heart like a cannonball, and the sensuality he exhaled through every pore held her in a web of desire from which she couldn't free herself. He finished the last chords of the song and without taking his eyes off Rosaly pulled her into his lap.

He kissed her forehead tenderly, then her nose, both her cheeks, and when he reached her lips, Rosaly thought she would melt into his sweetness.

Shawn untied the bow that closed her robe and delighted in the sight of that perfect body dressed only in pink lingerie. He wanted to touch her but didn't dare to, because Rosaly had been scared to death that day, she was fragile and sensitive, and he wouldn't take advantage of her vulnerability. He buried his face in Rosaly's scented hair, and then said looking into her eyes:

- You are so beautiful, Rosely. You have no idea how tempting you are dressed like that, and nothing would give me more pleasure than to prove to you how much I want you. But right now, you're not ready for that. When I make love to you, I want you to have only the two of us in mind.

- I don't know what to say, you enchant me, confuse me and seduce me, all at the same time, and I have never felt this way with anyone. Thank you for caring about me like that. - Shawn kissed her again, and then he said:

- I think I better go home now. You need to rest.

- I thought you'd spend the night here. - Rosaly said disappointed.

- Rosely, I'd love to spend the night here, but I don't trust myself to resist you for long, and as I said, today is not the day for that.

- It's okay. - She agreed.

Rosaly walked him to the door, and before he went, he spoke:

- Tomorrow morning I'll pick you up to take you to work. - Rosaly agreed to a head swing. They said goodbye with a quick seal, and Rosaly locked the door by entering the code he had given her as a password.

The apartment was so empty without Shawn's presence that Rosaly felt her eyes flickering, but soon she shed her troublesome tears by saying she was being childish. But as she went to bed that night, she went straight to Shawn's room, wishing that the scent of his perfume she could smell between the sheets would ease some of the longing she'd already felt for him.

Hi, I hope you'll like his part and give me your opinion. Sorry for any msitakes. Kisses.
