Chapter 10- Falling in love
SHAW
Shaw had lost sleep at exactly five forty-five in the morning, and looking at his watch he calculated that he had only slept for two hours, as it had been hard to get to sleep the night before. All his senses were intoxicated by Rosaly's perfume, taste and touch. He couldn't stop thinking about her, the way she had given herself to his kisses, the way their bodies fit together so perfectly, and the softness of her in his hands. She was delicate as a lily of the field, her soft skin reminded him of the velvety texture of the roses, and her so intense and warm kiss drove him crazy. If she hadn't run away from him, maybe they'd be between the sheets now, waking up in each other's arms after a torrid night of love. Shawn felt his body react to that thought, and finally got up, taking a cold shower to calm his boiling blood before his imagination that kept sending images to his mind of Rosaly's naked body next to his.
She was not like the others, that he had noticed. He had loved talking to her and getting to know her better, even though Rosaly hid a lot from herself and didn't like very direct or intimate questions. But there was something about her that had enchanted him from the first moment they spoke. There was a mixture of fragility and strength in his greenish brown eyes, which made him want her around. Rosaly didn't smile much, but when she did it it was as if she showed a side of herself that she kept carefully hidden in her deeper inner layer, and that her so charming smile revealed such a unique beauty. And Rosaly was beautiful, in a way he couldn't explain. It was not only her physical features that attracted him, but her way of talking about things like family, music and work. She relaxed when she thought no one was looking at her and showed herself as she really was, sensitive and passionate.
Wasn't it possible that a girl as sensational as she was alone? How did no one realize, besides him, that Rosaly was a rarity? Shaw suspected that there was a story behind that shadow that he had seen passing through her eyes while they were talking, but he wouldn't want to bring it up because he felt it wouldn't please her, and could jeopardize the relationship they started last night even though he couldn't call it a relationship yet. She was too special and Shawn didn't want to lose her.
Shawn finished dressing and left the room, eager to talk to Rosaly, but realized that she hadn't left the room yet. He felt a little disappointed that he couldn't meet her soon, because that meant he would have to control his anxiety a little more, and he had never been very good at it.
He decided to go out and buy coffee, as he couldn't stand to do anything while he waited for Rosaly to show up and put on his usual costume and left. He found a cafeteria near her apartment and bought cappuccino, milk doughnuts and brioches, he did not know if she liked that but he decided to take a chance anyway. When he returned she was still in the room, which made him wonder if she was avoiding him, hoping that she would leave so that she could leave without having to face him for what would happen the night before. But Shawn decided that he would wait for her until Rosaly decided to show up, even if he had to spend hours of boredom sitting on the sofa in the living room.
After twenty minutes, trying to pass the time, reading a newspaper he had found at the door of the apartment when he came back from the street, Rosaly appeared.
He looked directly at her as soon as he realized that she was at the kitchen door watching him, and his heart had tripled in beats.
Rosaly looked so small compared to his entire height, but in that apparent fragility was hidden a force he could see in the way Rosaly now looked at him. He felt nervous and didn't know what to say to break the silence that unexpectedly set in between them. "Think, Shawn. Say something that makes sense. He could hardly believe he was feeling as insecure as if he was thirteen. Where was the gallant Shawn, the conquest star, the seductive Shawn? In fact, he'd never had to work hard enough, just a smile was enough for him to get what he wanted, but intuitively, Shawn knew that none of that seemed to work for Rosaly, but what did he expect? That she would throw herself into his arms? She wasn't going to make it easy for him, Shawn was sure of that.
Good morning, Peter. - Rosaly then said, saving him from the moment of embarrassment.
- Good morning, Rosaly. I hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty of buying coffee for both of us. Do you like cappuccino? - He finally managed to say, hoping his voice would sound carefree.
- I like it, but you didn't have to do that., - s he had replied:
- I did. You welcomed me into your house and gave me a place to spend the night, the least I could do was feed you. - Shawn said that, thinking he wanted more than just feeding Rosaly.
- Thank you for caring. - She had said, looking closely at the amount and things he had bought for breakfast. Then she asked him in amazement:
- What does this banquet mean? Are you trying to fatten me up? - Shawn admired her silhouette. Rosaly wore black skinny pants that enhanced her hips, white blouse that evidenced all her curves, and winter boots that completed her elegant look.
- That would be impossible, honey. You have a beautiful body.- Shawn saw Rosaly's expression change, and she took a step backwards as if she wanted to get away from him, but he went faster and pulled her into his arms, saying:
- Why do you always try to run away from me? - Shawn wanted to hug her like that forever, and said her name softly, loving the sound of it in his lips.
- Rosely, please look at me. - Then, Rosaly's eyes crossed his, and Shawn saw so many feelings that mixed with hers. His hands touched her face, and her lips were so inviting that he had to touch them with his thumb.
He felt Rosaly's excitement as her breathing changed rhythm, he no longer resisted and kissed her, and it was as if a volcano of feelings was erupting. He wanted her so badly! he'd never wanted anyone like that before! Shawn had no control over his emotions, having Rosaly in his arms was like drowning in a wishing sea, and he was carried away by the sweetness of the delicate body in his hands. Shawn slipped his fingers through the rings of her hair, and then touched Rosaly's breasts lightly over the blouse she was wearing. She heard her gasp and Shawn felt his own body on fire, if he could he would drag her into the room and make her confess how much she wanted him.
Suddenly, Rosaly pushed him away from her. He wanted to protest, but as he looked at her, he realized it was not the time to insist.
She said she needed to go to work, and Shawn offered to take her to work, but Rosaly refused, saying she preferred to go alone, and he was losing her and couldn't do anything to change that situation right now.
They went out into the freezing morning air together, the sky was clear and clear, and from a distance they saw children playing in the snow, which brought Shawn sweet memories of his childhood.
- I always wanted to learn to skate on ice but I never thought I would have the necessary skills. - she told him.
- I also love ice skating. I always get the feeling I'm a kid again. - Rosaly smiled at him and Shawn reciprocated.
- I have to go now or I'll be late. -
- Okay. Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. - He had agreed, but before she went too far, he called her back, because he wanted to ask when they could see each other again, but for some reason he only spoke.
- Have a nice day wished you the same.
As he saw her moving away, Shawn thought about how he would meet her again, for now that he had met her and held her in his arms, he needed to know if his intuition about her was right.
He looked again at the children who were now fighting with the snow in her garden, and an idea took over her mind.
