Monthly Challenge 1, Fighting: Winter Wanderer's submission

Credit: Winter Wanderer on Wattpad

Deep within an unknown city, two people were walking towards a fountain, preparing for their duel. The first individual was a boy dawning a green cloak, leather armor, and a sword on his hip. The second individual was a man wearing a set of hiking shoes, jeans, a black leather belt, a white-shirt, a watch, and an aviator's jacket with the depiction of a t-rex on the back of it. On the man's head however, was a coyote mask that looked to be of Native American origin. These two combatants were Keyaru and Jack respectively.

"Where are they?" Keyaru asked as he unsheathed his sword to aim it at Jack, and Jack noticed how Keyaru's eyes were glowing green, trying to observe him again. "Where are they?!"

"Well Flare and Norn are getting their brainwashing undone." Jack answered while jamming his thumbs into his pockets, and Keyaru's eyes went wide with rage. "As for the other gals, they're testifying against you as we speak."

"What the hell did you do?" Keyaru asked the man while gritting his teeth. "Do you have any idea what kind of monsters they are? I made them better!"

"What you did was bodily modification and brainwashing two people, neither of which have a place in a civilized society." Jack shifted his weight onto one leg. "I'll be honest with you, back in Jioral Kingdom, yeah, you were the hero, because by comparison, everyone was a dick. But here in Wonderland, you're a villa- Oh! I finally came up with your punishment!"

"My punishment?!" Keyaru let out a maniacal laugh. "Please? Why would I get punished? The Divine Bird God wants me to do all this, so it's all justified!"

"And, I'm above any god." Jack answered as his eyes glowed a pale green color. "If there is a god that will justify and enforce crimes made against humanity, then I'll tear him bit by bit and take his throne. If that's not enough, I'll even humiliate him in front of all his worshipers."

"WELL FIGHT FANS, THE SHOWDOWN BETWEEN KING JACK HISTORIA AND KEYARUGA IS ABOUT TO COMMENCE!" The referee's loud voice could be coming from the speakers in the city. "IN JUST THREE SECONDS, OUR FIGHT WILL START! THREE...TWO...ONE!"

The clock tower bell tolled.

"Ground Shrinker!" Keyaru appeared in front of Jack and the healer's hand glowed a lime green before placing his palm against the king's chest. "Corruption heal!"

Much to Keyaru's horror, his hand phased right through Jack's body. One of Jack's fingers was pressing against the fingernail of another one of his fingers on the same hand. While Keyaru was confused, Jack made a dog hand sign with his opposite hand. The dog hand sign caused the shadow beneath Keyaru to morph into the face of a black jackal before emerging from the ground. The giant black jackal head was roughly the size of Jack, who was taller than Keyaru. Keyaru noticed the jackal head right away and jumped into the air to avoid the bite before using his sword to cut the jackal in half. While he was busy with the jackal head, Jack used his feet to kick a stone pebble roughly 20 meters in front of him and behind Keyaru.

"You know, as a handicap, I suppose I can tell you my ability to give you something of a fair chance." Jack then raised both of his hands. "My ability is Hand Magic, so my magic lies solely in my han-"

"You do realize you have a book containing all your abilities in the library for anyone to read, right?" Keyaru asked as he landed 3 meters from Jack. "I know your abilitit's are Power of Ancients, Bone Collector, and History Maker. You don't use the last two as often as you used to because not many people know about it or choose to ignore it due to the first one being the bigger threat."

"A book?" Jack completely forgot about that book. "How old do you think it is?"

"I'd say like a year or two old." Keyaru answered, and while the healer may not have seen it, Jack was smiling underneath his mask.

"Well amigo, that book doesn't even cover half of it." Jack confidently raised one of his hands upwards. "You see, the most dangerous thing about my abilities isn't it's potential, but that it makes it impossible to know all my abilities." Jack then summoned a weapon. "Now, let me show you the power of a spell book, Nursery Rhyme, something that ISN'T in that book."

Jack made a book appear in his hands, and Keyaru tried using Imitation Heal. Jack suddenly disappeared, replacing himself with a rock. Keyaru was confused by this, but he suddenly sensed something rapidly approaching him. Keyaru turned around, but he was too slow, and got struck in the stomach by some unknown, rotating force. Keyaru opened his eyes to see that the thing that struck him was a giant shield with a 3 meter diameter.

"Behold, Fairy Shield Camelot." Jack was roughly 20 meters away from Keyaru. "You know, you've got an impressive toolset, but it won't matter if you can't get close to me, now would it?"

"Ground Shrinker!" Keyaru shouted to get closer to Jack, but the boy didn't seem to mind.

"Providence." In an instant, Jack appeared behind Keyaru with a revolver in hand and the Grimoire, Nursery Rhyme, in the other. "I told you, that book is pretty outdated."

Jack fired six shots at Keyaru, but the healer used his sword to block all six shots before trying to run towards the man once again. However, Keyaru noticed that the closer he got to the masked man's position, the farther he appeared to get. Keyaru tried using Ground Shrinker once more, only to slip on ice, landing on his back. Before Keyaru could process what was happening, Keyaru sensed that he was in danger so he jumped into the air to avoid blades coming from his shadow. Keyaru then launched three throwing knives towards Jack, and Jack dodged them with ease before clapping his hands together. From the sky, thousands of poles dropped down from the sky before landing all over the city. These were no ordinary poles, these poles had the flag of an unknown kingdom on them. Keyaru was confused by why Jack created these flags until he noticed Jack disappeared in a flash. Out of nowhere, Keyaru was hit from the side by a series of explosive shotgun shells. Keyaru got struck by the first volley of bullets, causing an explosion to envelop his side. Keyaru jumped away with the armor on his side being blown off to reveal smoking, burnt skin. The burnt skin healed in an instant as Keyaru looked at the source of the volley of bullets, which just had the green flag. Out of nowhere, Keyaru sensed several arrows flying towards him, so he used his sword to deflect the arrows. He glared at the source, only to see a flag. Keyaru cut the first arrow in half, noticing how they were emitting a pink aura, then cut the second and third one. Keyaru felt as though his sword got lighter, so he looked at the sword, and his eyes went wide. Keyaru's sword was slowly turning into some kind of gray taffy in the areas where he cut the arrows in half. Keyaru tried fixing his sword using alchemy, but before he could, a voice came from one of the rooftops.

"Switch!"

Keyaru's sword was swiftly replaced by a stick, but alchemy was already activated, so now the wooden stick turned into a stainless steel rod. The rod was suddenly dropped by Keyaru, and it struck its foot, Keyaru clasped his foot in annoyance. Keyaru looked behind him in annoyance, only to see a lime green beam of light coming towards him. This beam of light was taking up the entire street, so Keyaru couldn't dodge unless he only went one way. Up. So Keyaru jumped to the ledge of the closest building, which was someone's house. Keyaru used the windowsill as a foothold and planted both his hands on the top edge of the house. Keyaru almost pulled himself up the building, but before he could get all the way up, a foot stomped on Keyaru's left hand as the beam of light approached Keyaru.

"That there was Golden Bull, Silent Princess, and Little Daylight." Jack continued grinding his foot on Keyaru's hand, then he pulled out a silver handgun. "And this here is 12 Months: January."

Keyaru was unprepared for the handgun, so the bullet of the gun hit him dead in the head, causing him to let go of the building and land in the massive beam of light that took up the entire street. Keyaru landed in the street, obscuring him from view thanks to the powerful light.

"Man, the kid's probably dead." Jack made his gun disappear before stuffing his hands into his pockets. "Still, better safe than sorry, Fox and Hound!"

A pair of twin swords appeared in Jack's hands, with one of the sword's guards taking the appearance of a dog while the other had the depiction of a fox. The flood of light began to die down until it allowed Jack to see the street again. There was nothing there, not even ash. Jack knew that there should have been at least some ash, so he aimed the dog sword upwards. As if it was being attracted to a magnet, the dog sword aimed behind him.

"Oh you have got to be kidding me-!"

Before Keyaru could touch Jack, the masked man disappeared. Keyaru looked around before stepping to the side, dodging a quickly spinning bullet. The bullet landed in the ground beside him, making a bullet hole, yet Keyaru could tell the bullet didn't pierce the roof completely. Keyaru looked at the clock tower that the bullet came from, just to see Jack standing against the clock tower as though gravity was pulling him towards it. Jack was holding onto a sniper rifle, and behind him, some kind of dice was hovering next to his trigger finger. Keyaru scowled, but then, Jack's body was covered in an orange aura.

"El Tarot Familia: Crimson Brother, the Sun." Jack's body covered itself in an orange aura before firing again.

Keyaru scowled before dodging the bullet by jumping down the building, then he used Ground Shrinker to quickly move to the clock tower. From the dark shadows of the city, knights emerged holding a variety of weapons. They tried stabbing, slashing, or bashing Keyaru, but the healer dodged every swing. The healer soon reached the base of the clock tower to begin running up the tower, except something felt odd to the healer. Keyaru ran up the building, and used corruption heal on Jack, only for Jack to slowly turn into ash. It felt...too easy for Keyaru. Out of nowhere, another bullet hole was dodged by Keyaru. This time the bullet came from Jack, who was now back at the fountain, looking exactly like his copy, but with a halo above his head.

"Children of Destiny: Prophet." Jack flicked the halo on his head before Keyaru suddenly appeared before him again using Ground Shrinker. "Right, I forgot about that ability.

"Transformation Heal!"

Keyaru quickly placed both of his hands on either side of Jack's head, and the masked man's glowing eyes stopped glowing, the halo disappeared. Jack dropped his weapon and fell onto his knees, all while his head felt eerily cold.

"Damnit, I'm going to make you tell me where my girls are." Keyaru let out a mug smirk. "Then I'm going to turn your body into one big walking, agonizing existence. Every step with you will feel like walking on glass, every movement will feel like hot needles pierce the deepest parts of your body, every breath you take will be like breathing in acid. As if that wasn't enough, I'll torture and rape every person closest to you, maybe I'll start off by breeding those that goth friend of yo~"

Before Keyaru could finish his sentence, Jack's masked head launched off itself and struck the healer in the nose, causing it to bleed. Before Keyaru could figure out what was happening, he noticed a cable was replacing Jack's neck, and that the cable appeared to be connected to the head. The cable then began reeling in, leaving behind the coyote mask as Jack's head landed back on his neck, turning to normal in the process. The coyote mask then engulfed the healer in a massive explosion. Keyaru looked at the man's head to see a light stubble on his jawline and over his lip, emerald green eyes. Weirdly enough, his irises had writing on them. To Keyaru, the writing looked like ancient text.

"You just had to bring Alice into this didn't you?" Jack asked as he cracked his neck and made the twin swords disappear. Blue, purple, and green clouds began to cover the daytime sky, covering the area in an eerie gloom. "You just had to, didn't you? Now that I've decided your fate, let's just end this." Jack then summoned some kind of kris. "Now, let's show this fool who's boss, Storyteller. Tell us a story: Lua Flores."

Keyaru felt a strong emotion he hasn't felt in forever.

Fear of death.

The happy go lucky man he was fighting earlier could no longer be found, in his place, was a man with the intent to hunt, and Keyaru could tell that he was the prey. The man's Kris began glowing a bright green color, and he could hear the sound of some metallic things running to their position. Keyaru turned around to see two giant beasts of metal running towards them, jumping on top of the buildings. The first beast was a giant Tyrannosaurus rex, and the other was a giant man.

"Ebony Horse and Pinocchio." Jack introduced his two weapons before stabbing Keyaru in the chest using the short sword. "Don't worry, they're just here to watch and make sure you don't pussy out."

Keyaru was in shock. How did he not notice the man?! The man's stab was swiftly followed by a transparent green rosebud emerging on the other side of Keyaru, followed by thorny vines ensnaring the boy. The rosebud bloomed, expanding itself into Keyaru's body and causing the boy to scream. Keyaru managed to escape by forcing Jack to back away by using corruption. Weirdly enough, he felt as though Jack was trying to increase his suffering. Keyaru's collar was then grabbed by Jack, who's hand was stretched as though he was made of rubber. Keyaru tried using Transformation Heal on the man again, only to see green crystals emerging from the man's body. The crystals absorbed the magic from Keyaru's spell, rendering all of them useless. Jack launched Keyaru into the air, and Keyaru couldn't do anything to fight against it but watch. Keyaru looked back at the man, and went pale with horror. Jack jumped into the air above Keyaru before stretching his arm straight upwards, making it disappear above the clouds before some kind of blue explosion occurred above the clouds, so bright that parts of it seeped through the clouds. The fist came barreling back down, covered in a white and blue energy before striking Keyaru's chest.

"UNITED STATES OF CRASH!" Jack shouted before the fist forced Keyaru crashing straight down into an empty park below.

After Keyaru landed on the ground in the park, his injuries began healing, but he clutched his head. He was forgetting about something, but what was it? Keyaru looked into the sky to see an odd mixture of blue, purple, and green clouds. Keyaru was forgetting something, but he couldn't figure out what it was.

"Keyaru!" A beaten and bruised Setsuna ran towards Keyaru, and when she was close enough, she collapsed in Keyaru's arms. "Hurry, we need to run, everyone here is crazy!"

"Setsuna, who did this to you?" Keyaru asked while clutching the bruised Setsuna.

"Setsuna? Who's that?"

Setsuna's eyes suddenly started glowing green before she smiled. Before Keyaru could react, Setsuna hugged Keyaru. Green blades shot out from Setsuna's chest and arms, piercing Keyaru from every angle. The healer coughed up blood while Setsuna made the blades disappear and walked away from Keyaru. Setsuna's face and clothing then began changing into a familiar shape, the shape of a male with an aviator's jacket. Keyaru then remembered why he was injured in the first place.

"Oh, right, she was that wolf girl." Jack appeared to recall who she was. "And sorry about making you forget who I was, using Vanish not only makes me invisible, but also makes my opponent forget who I was. Of course, then they'd forget everything I did. As for why I had to disappear...I had to perform a certain ritual. Should I tell you the effect of this ritual? It allows me to use every buff in my arsenal at once at their full potential."

Keyaru tried using corruption on Jack, but Jack's body emitted a bright glow and moved at the speed of light. Jack used his speed to not only put some distance between himself and Keyaru, but also used his hand to rip off Keyaru's right arm. Keyaru let out a howl at the shock before healing the injury. Keyaru shot a glare at Jack, who was holding the chopped off limb into the air.

"You know, Aquos Sphinx likes it when I give him some meat when I call him." Jack explained to the confused Keyaru. "He should be here...now."

Keyaru looked into the sky to see that it had suddenly started pouring. Above the clouds, Keyaru could see a silhouette, the silhouette was that of some kind of gigantic beast with massive wings. The silhouette broke through the clouds to reveal that it's form was that of a massive lion, but the weirdest thing about it was that it was blue, had multiple tentacles/shells/strands of seaweed/other sea objects in its mane. Not to mention, the lion was wearing a golden mask. The size of the lion was large enough to make the houses it soared over look like toys. The lion landed behind Jack, and ate the hand that Jack offered it.

"Remember our bargain Aquos, I took you out, so now your power is mine." Jack remembered, and the lion nodded before its eyes started glowing a bright blue color. "Now, Keyaru, your charges are brain washing, treason, mass murder, physical and sexual abuse, serial rape, torture, sexual harassment, regicide, usurpation, and organizing a way gang rape with three cannibals that ended in some girl dying and getting canibalized in the morning. We're not sure what to call that last one, but you're guilty of it."

"She tortured me!" Keyaru 'justified' the actions of his last one. "Everything I did was the will of the Divine Bird and for revenge."

"Okay, two things." Jack held up two fingers while Aquos stood still. "You claim everything you did was out of revenge, but here's the thing; we looked through your records and...you forgot about Bullet. The guy who quite possibly caused the most shit for you."

"Um..."

"Yeah, so we had to take care of him ourselves, so thanks for the help, Dipfuck." Jack crossed his arms. "Maybe if you stopped raping every female in existence you could have gotten him taken care of and saved countless children from trauma. Well at least Angelo got to have some sadistic fun."

"But-"

"Oh! I almost forgot, about that Divine Bird..." Jack made a bag appear in his hands. "I should have told you before, but when it comes to the gods, they can't do anything to me."

"What did you do?!" Keyaru shouted as Jack emptied the bag onto the ground, causing a large bird's head to fall to the ground. Jack then kicked the bird's head towards Keyaru. "W-What?!"

"You know, the gods ain't got shit on me, you wanna know why?" Jack asked as he summoned his Kris sword. "Because I'm something far beyond any god or demon; a human. Storyteller's requiem: Lua Flores De Sonho Rei!" Nothing happened. "Oh man. Storyteller's full Unison takes a while to kick in. While I'm at it, I'll show you my full power."

Keyaru took notice of the shaking ground and the giant blue lion was now turning into a blue light. The blue light was being absorbed by Jack's left hand, forming a kind of clawed tattoo design on the back of his left arm that extended up to his elbow. As the ground shook Keyaru looked on in horror as grandesque towers emerged from the ground all over the city. The tower's bricks were a pearly white, the roofs were a shining gold, and the trims of the towers were a royal purple. Slowly after the towers were erected, some kind of sound filled the area, it sounded like royal trumpets. From behind Jack, in the place where Aquos once stood, something else emerged, a royal palace. This palace was indeed smaller than the main castle of Wonderland, but the castle Jack summoned looked like an ideal, perfect Fairy Tale castle.

"My Unison is still going through its First Stage, 'Nascimento', so I'll keep you entertained until the real fun begins." Jack held his Grimoire and summoned a mysterious figure behind him. "Poor Man's Poison, entertain him while I get a spell."

Keyaru instantly noticed the figures thanks to his Jade Eyes, so he jumped up to avoid Poor Man Poison's slash with its massive, hooked arm. Before Keyaru could launch a proper offensive against the phantom, only for his blade to suddenly be caught in the jaws of something. This somehing was a raptor skull, with glowing green eyes and with its spine raising the skull straight up to the proper height to catch the blade. Suddenly, the area became a lot darker, and Keyaru could tell something was trying to toy with his mind, but he remained calm thanks to his 'serene' skill.

"Second Dance: Uma ode ao no Sonho Rei, careful, this skill cranks all that anxiety, depression, and other negative emotions up to eleven billion." Jack dashed towards Keyaru, who tried using a skill on the man, only to be met with the rain around them forming a wall that pushed Keyaru back. "Nice try, but your range sucks amigo."

Keyaru tried reaching Jack by using his throwing knives dipped in poison to attempt to paralyze him. Keyaru threw the poisoned knives, only for them to miss their target entirely by Jack freezing time and moving out of the way. Jack then created a silver magic circle to shoot multiple plates of silver at Keyaru. The healer was agile, so he ran clockwise towards Jack to not only dodge the attack, but also use something on him, ANYTHING. Why didn't his heal skill work earlier? That's when it hit him, Jack can turn his body into weapons, and given how heal doesn't work on items, he'd have to use alchemy! Keyaru was about to reach Jack, only to slip on ice once again.

"Oof, the Third Dance, As Provas do Norte, cools everything down pretty quickly." Jack warned the healer, who smirked. "If I were you, I'd get a coat ASAP."

Just as Jack warned, the entire area became freezing, and all the puddles began turning to ice and the raindrops turned to snow. Keyaru seemed to have no trouble skating, so Jack snapped his fingers, and Keyaru fell flat on his face. As for Jack, he suddenly summoned a pair for gloves.

"London Bridge is falling down~, falling down~." Jack placed his gloved hand against the nearby tree, and seemingly nothing happened. "I wonder when you'll land face first against this tree."

"Like that'll happen you bastard." Keyaru got a dagger in each hand and skated towards Jack, who stood still, watching as Keyaru launched himself into the tree. Despite the impact not being that dangerous, Keyaru looked like he was met face first by a belt sander. All the skin on Keyaru's face was torn off, and his nose was just entirely gone. Keyaru's face managed to regain a new layer of skin. "WHAT?!"

"Yeah, artifacts, so if I were you, I'd start praying, because I have all 72 of them." Keyaru then pulled a glass vial out from his pocket to launch at Jack, but he dropped the vial. "Of course, that's assuming you make it through the Fourth Dance: Lamento do Velho."

Out of nowhere, Keyaru's body was covered in pitch black scabs, and blood began pouring out of his body. In an instant, a puddle of crimson blood had formed below Keyaru and began freezing from the low temperature. While Keyaru was distracted by this, Jack had Poor Man's Poisoj deliver a series of slashes, launching him into the tree once again. Of course, Keyaru's injuries healed, but the weirdest thing about his scabs were that no matter how much he healed, they would come back and drain even more blood from his body. Unlucky for Keyaru, the next dance was about to begin.

"Next up, Fifth Dance: Forjador dos Horizontes!" Jack shouted before summoning a pair of fairy wings so he could fly into the air. "Btw, the ground is a bad place to be."

"Why?" Out of nowhere, the ice broke from the ground and swords began piercing the spots on Keyaru's body where the scabs were, going through his arms, legs, torso, and even one through his neck. "HCK!"

"Yeah, sorry about that." Jack then thought to himself for a moment. "Oh wait, I'm not sorry."

Keyaru pulled each blade out of his body, dropping them all onto the ground except for one of these swords. The one sword he didn't drop he used as a weapon. Keyaru tried dashing towards Jack, only for the man to suddenly gain a pitch black crown made of thorns. Keyaru didn't care about the thorny crown, that was until Keyaru was met with a wall of liquid, melted gold. Keyaru managed to jump back away from the wall, only for him to be forced into the wall

"Sixth Dance: Bruxa do Abismo."

Cackling could be heard from two sources, from the mysterious abyss that surrounded our two combatants, and from Keyaru himself. After getting out of the wall of gold. Keyaru gave into the madness, and began laughing maniacally. As he got into a fight stance, he completely ignored the fact that the terrain was melting all around. Every tree, statue, lamppost, bench, and bush were all melting as though all of them were made of plastic. Keyaru launched himself towards Jack, who's left eye began glowing a mint color.

"Gravity, 100x, El Tarot Familia: Judgement" Jack used some kind of spell, increasing the gravity for Keyaru and forcing his sword onto the ground. "Now, God Slayer!"

A spiral of black and green energy shot itself towards Keyaru from Jack's hand, and the healer tried stealing the man's skills, only to come out empty. Jack appeared before Keyaru before punching the healer's stomach. Jack's blow Keyaru to cough up blood, but the injury quickly healed in an instant. Jack noticed something though, the healing effect was slowing down.

"Next up, Seventh Dance: Batalha pela Esfera Celestia."

In the middle of the battlefield, a silver orb appeared in a blink, and all the now liquid objects began to be pulled closer and closer to the orb. The orb was like a black hole, pulling all the melted materials closer to itself. Unlike a black whole, it never swallowed the materials, instead, it slows its absorption rate the closer the melted materials got. Keyaru watched as Jack lowered himself onto the ground, followed by the man smirking.

"Children of Destiny: Void Forger." Jack stomped on Keyaru's foot and created a black nail on the sole of his foot, and the nail plunged through the boy's foot.

"Imitation Heal, Looting Heal, Corruption Heal!" Keyaru placed his arm around Jack's ankle, allowing him to use heal. "I got you and your skills, so die!"

"Does heal work on objects?" Jack asked, completely unaffected, before kicking Keyaru in the face, causing a metallic tang to be heard as the boy stepped back, clutching his nose. Keyaru's bloody nose and bruised face healed soon, but his confusion still left an ugly expression on the healer's face. "I figured as much."

"What?!" Keyaru shouted as his nose bled, and Jack pulled up his right pant leg to reveal that his right leg from the knee down was a prosthetic.

"Before you use heal of any variety, I make sure to change my body into one of my weapon forms." Jack's covered his prosthetic again. "The first time, I changed my chest into a mirror so you'd only strike the reflection, the second, my head into a magic cannon, and I actually didn't do anything this time."

"Well whatever, I'm sure imitation heal worked on you, now, ANUBIS!" Keyaru made a dog hand sign with his hand, but nothing happened.

"Even if you copied all my skills, you'd only get my skills, not what they accumulated." Jack informed the boy. "All my other abilities, weapons, and even summons are all from collecting. So it's a powerful accumulation type ability, but sucks ass when you first get it. Speaking of abilities." Jack pulled a tarot card of the devil from his pocket. "El Tarot Familia: Devil. If anyone tries to hurt me, they're cursed with a curse that constantly decays their body. The rate of decay depends on the intended amount of harm. For trying to kill me with that skill, I'd say that curse will decay roughly 75% of your body per second."

"...Damnit!" Keyaru cursed as he watched the skin and muscles on his hands turn to ash, slowly before being replaced with new flesh and muscle.

"Eighth Dance: Restaurando o Sol ea Lua." Jack announced the next part of the sword's performance.

Everything went back and white. There was no gray in this world, only black darkness or blinding white. Keyaru tried slashing at Jack, but he couldn't see. He couldn't smell, hear, taste, feel, or anything! It was just pitch black and white. There was only one thing he could hear amongst all the silence.

"Tell me Keyaru, do you know what a hero is?"

Keyaru was hit with a warm, soothing wind like a breath of fresh air. Keyaru turned around him to see a peaceful sight. He was standing in a deep, dark forest and the sight before him was a grassy plain, with yellow grass that reached his hips. Keyaru stepped into the golden field of grass, and he looked up, noticing the gleefully warm sun that was sitting high above, surrounded by a beautifully blue sky. White dots dotted the sky, like sheep playing with one another. Keyaru looked back down at the grassy plains, to see a variety of executioner's tools, all worn down and surrounded by vines, but they all seemed to be in working condition.

"Finale Felicidade Eterna." Jack placed a hand on Keyaru's shoulder, and the healer was unresponsive. "I pity you Keyaru, I really do. You became one of the very demons that haunted you. You will die here, but I will let you choose your method of execution. Think of it as one final blessing before you pass onto the next life."

"I'm sorry...I'm sorry for everything I have done." This was the effect of Felicidade Eterna, unlike the previous modes, this mode instills feelings of peace, serenity, remorse, guilt, acceptance, and exhaustion into its victims. It also increases their suggestibility dramatically, the more crimes a person has committed, the stronger the effect is. "I don't think I deserve a quick death."

"Whatever, just choose your own death." Jack pushed Keyaru to the collection of the executioner's weapons. From a guillotine, brass bull, Iron Maiden, electric chair, and so on.

"This one, if that's okay." Keyaru walked to the guillotine, and Jack nodded. "I guess this is how I die."

"Hey, in the next life, try being a genuine hero." Jack stood where he was originally. "Help the hurt, save the small. Just remember those six words."

"I'll try to do that in my next life." Keyaru placed his head in the guillotine as Jack faced his back towards Keyaru . "Goodbye."

*CHOP*

"...And with the false hero slain they all lived, Happily Ever After..."

(A/N: Writing this was honestly the closest thing to therapy I got in years. Also, no, this is not cannon.
