4 & 5
Keith tapped his foot impatiently as he tried to find his twenty dollar bill to pay off Harry for driving him to his apartment building. The older man smirked as he watched Keith from the driver's seat, "Man, seeing you so flustered is actually amusing Keith. I thought you were like this cold hearted man who bossed his apprentice around," His voice was gruff from old age, or from just yelling at his four kids he's got at home.
Keith thanked god as he pulled out the twenty and tossed it into the man child's old minivan with reluctance, "Everyone has emotions Harry, some show it through actions and others do it verbally. You wear your emotions on you face proudly and I hate that about some people but I don't find you annoying until you and your junior snapchat our crime scene."
Before Keith could turn away to leave Harry sighed and handed back the twenty dollars catching Keith by surprise. The older man then pointed to Keith's shirt and smirked smugly, "Your locket is gone Keith, use the cash on your girl since I'm guessing that's who you're flustered about. Did she already move in with you?"
The final sentence caused a skip in Keith's heartbeat suddenly as he realized the two would be living together from now on; Keith would have to share his only bed with the tall boy and would have to wake up every morning to him and even share the same bathroom as him. His head buzzed around with all the possible scenarios that could happen with living in such a small place with another person. What if they actually ended up falling in love with each other? Keith's face turned bright red and he scowled in frustration, he was getting worked up over something so simple.
"I-I haven't found my soulmate yet!" He shouted in embarrassment.
Harry rubbed his chin and chuckled, "That's how I was when I first met my wife and learned we were destined to be together, I was too embarrassed to talk about her because I thought it was a bad thing to find my perfect one. So was she the one who called you at work today; because that was a lot of whining on the other line I heard. Surprised your ears didn't fall off from her high pitched voice."
Keith stared at the brown eyed man, dumbfounded; Harry actually thought Lance was a woman. This may actually work out for me; if my coworkers found out I was gay then no one would look at me the same way again in my department. They would probably be placing bets on whether or not I was sub or dom. Keith forced a smile onto his face and decided to play along with this in order to protect his reputation as a senior detective in his department. "Oh yeah, Lan- uh Lindsey talks so much it drives me crazy. Don't tell anyone at work about this, work is strictly for professional relationships nothing personal," Keith gulped down his nervousness; he almost slipped up on Lance's name in front of his enemy.
Harry raised his hands up innocently and took his car out of park, "No problem here, just don't go wild on the first night, having kids that early in the relationship is not fun. What was your compatibility by the way?"
Keith turned cherry red and looked at his coworker with shocked eyes; Harry was trying to give him advice about a relationship especially about safe sex. "Uh, n-no need to w-w-worry about me and my g-girlfriend having kids anytime soon and uh..." He turned his head away from the man and mumbled under his breath, "One hundred percent."
His jaw nearly dropped at the sound of Keith's words, "Wait that's possible? The highest compatibility I've ever seen was eighty percent and even that's high for a couple."
Keith raised an eyebrow in curiosity, "Wait that isn't normal?"
"Not even close kid, you two most be made by god himself to be perfect for each other. Go get her kiddo, and tell me how it was tomorrow at work," Harry winked and then sped off without waiting for Keith's response.
His hair was swept into his face with how fast the van was able to pull away from the curb, Keith stood there with wide eyes and a dumbfounded look on his face, his life was only going to get harder wasn't it? He slouched over and left out a long sigh, he just wanted to relax in his house after the investigation earlier. The car ride back was painful; Keith had to listen to Harry's wife as she yelled at their kids on Bluetooth speaker because Harry didn't want to be pulled over for using his cellular device in a school zone as they headed towards the Kazoku apartment building where Keith and Lance lived. Keith dragged himself into the ten story building lazily, he was trying to figure out what he wanted to watch on TV when he managed to go back inside of his apartment and lay down.
Lance is going to be there... His own thoughts had to contradict him from the peace he was attempting to imagine. He slowly climbed the staircase to the fifth floor, he wanted to waste as much time as possible getting back home so he wouldn't have to see what a horrible sight that was awaiting him; boxes were possibly littering the home, Lance's clothing in his dresser, his hair and skin care products possibly strewn across his marble bathroom counter. He was exhausted from just thinking about the mess that would be inside and he pushed the staircase door open as it let out a groan from barely being used.
He could hear music from his apartment down the hall and recognized it as Lance's favorite song artist; Megan Trainor. All About That Bass was playing loudly and the feeling deep inside of Keith's stomach that he assumed was dread, was becoming tighter and tighter by the second he was surprised he didn't fall over in the hallway by now from the cramping feeling in his gut.
Just have him sleep on the couch, he doesn't have to share my bed tonight, I could just push him off the bed if it comes to that. The idea of shoving his friend out of his bed and onto the floor nearly made his dread disappear until he slowly pushed open the door to his apartment. The music was amplified as he entered the home, and also his worst fears were confirmed. There was new stuff everywhere inside the apartment; paintings, vases, new furniture and anything else you could possibly imagine was littering the apartments floor and Keith slowly closed the door with his back, his eyes wide as he looked around desperately hoping that there was at least one thing that stayed the same.
In the kitchen Lance was dancing a little, only swaying his hips as he sang out of pitch to the music, "My momma told me to never worry about my sizeee~" he threw his left hand into the air showing a wooden spoon in it and he waved it along to the beat as Keith slowly pushed off the door to drag himself to the couch where various blankets rested, neatly folded and stacked on each other.
"Why is your stuff everywhere!" Keith exclaimed holding up a fluffy green blanket to enthuse his anger.
Lance stopped singing to look over his shoulder in surprise, he hasn't heard Keith enter due to the music being so loud. He quickly switched off the god awful song and pointed to Keith with the wooden spoon, "This isn't what I wanted but I was given a notice by that crazy receptionist that I needed to move in by the end of the week or I would be fined one thousand dollars for not obeying the law," He placed a hand on his hip and flicked the spoon around as he began to give Keith an attitude, "It isn't something I wanted to do so don't give me an attitude Keith. Just be happy I didn't touch your office bedroom place. Whatever it is," He sighed and twisted around on his heels to continue cooking whatever it was he was making.
Keith slowly blinked before tossing the blanket back onto the stack. "Fine, get everything situated by tomorrow though. I'm going to go take a nap," He huffed and slipped his shoes off quickly and stomped off into his room to see that it was relatively untouched.
The only noticeable difference inside was the new black dresser that sat next to his; maybe he wouldn't have to share a dresser with Lance after all then? He felt slightly relieved by that thought and stretched with a loud yawn, he was always tired lately which might be taking a bad toll on his body so it was best to squeeze in a small nap before dinner. He walked around to the side of the bed he usually slept on as his tossed his jacket onto his dresser nonchalantly. Before he pulled back the quilt he noticed two large lumps under the covers and frowned in confusion before tugging back the blanket and letting out a short frightened yelp as he jumped away from two angry cats under the covers.
"Holy shit!" He exclaimed as the white Persian cat closest to him tried to his him with its claws, its smooshed in face looked angry as it hissed.
The other cat was a small and lanky Bombay. Its brown eyes glared at him in what seemed to be annoyance more than anything but the two quickly departed from the bed as Keith clutched his hand over his chest, the entire move was keeping him on edge and now he had to deal with two very angry cats that he had no idea were going to live with him.
Lance poked his head into Keith's room in curiosity but watched as his cats ran past him, "I see you've met my cats already, aren't they so cute?" He cooed in pride.
Keith's frightened expression changed into disbelief and disgust as his left eye twitched slightly, "Yeah they're very cute, especially the one who tried to kill me," He grunted
Lance laughed awkwardly, "I'm guessing you're talking about Leonardo DaFuzzy; he hates strangers..."
Keith shook his head hoping he hasn't heard his roommate correctly, "I'm sorry what? You named your cat Leonardo DaFuzzy? Who names their cat that?" He exclaimed, throwing his hands into the air for enthusiasm.
"Clearly I do, I thought Leonardo DaFuzzy and Lucifurr were cute cat names for those two so that's why-"
"That's why you've never had a girlfriend Lance, you're like one of those crazy cat ladies naming them some sort of pun," Keith cut off Lance rather quickly before he began to rant about how stupid the cat names were, "You named them Lucifurr and Leonardo DaFuzzy! Who does that? Why didn't you name that stupid Persian cat something like..." He looked around the dull room for inspiration for a stupid cat pun, "I don't know something like Voldemewt!"
Lance gave him a 'are-you-stupid' look and rolled his eyes slightly, "Because Voldemewt is just plain dumb Keith. No one would name their cat something that stupid."
Keith bit his bottom lip in frustration as his eyebrows raised, was Lance being serious? Did he really just tell Keith no one would name their cats something so stupid? Did he really just do that? "Did you seriously just say...." He was at loss for words so he let out a stressful sigh and pointed into the living room, "Just get out and close the door so those evil spawns don't come back inside of here damnit," He ordered the clearly offended man.
"Whatever, I'll wake you up for dinner then," Lance sighed and slammed the door shut behind him.
One hundred percent compatible my ass, Keith groaned to himself as he slowly slid under the covers and pulled them above his head to keep the light out of his eyes. He already hate this and he still has a potential serial killer case to solve. Why couldn't anything get easier for him? He sighed deeply and finally managed to catch a break.
The loud sounds of Lance singing in the kitchen woke Keith up from his once peaceful slumber. He slowly sat up and rubbed his eyes carefully, trying to wake himself up. It was five at night, the sun was down and the starry sky was finally there to welcome him with open arms as if it were a kind mother trying to bring him into an embrace.
"How long have I been out?" Keith yawned before slowly sliding out of his bed. His back cracked as he stood up to stretch, it was oddly relaxing and felt amazing when he heard the loud crack in his lower back sound.
He stumbled over to his jacket he had tossed onto his dresser and fished around in the pockets to pull out his cell phone. The bright light blinded him for a moment, he hadn't set the brightness level to low so the vibrant colored galaxy background on his phone was like a flash bang to his eyes as he squeezed them shut in pain. 'This is so stupid...' He thought to himself before slowly opening his eyes to adjust to the phone screen. He had three missed calls from Irene and two text messages from Harry.
Without hesitating Keith slid the phone into his back pocket in order to focus on his newest task at hand. He was going to eat dinner with Lance and make sure he enjoyed it, it was his first dinner with his soulmate after all. He needed to give him all of his attention for the night, Irene was more than capable of handling the case by herself. Keith slowly opened the door to peek outside to make sure neither of those ridiculously named cats were outside. To his relief they were sitting on the wooden floor playing with each other, Lucifurr the black cat chased DaFuzzy's tail and DaFuzzy made desperate attempts to pounce on the smaller and more agile cat but was too slow and fat to pounce on her. Keith stared at the two pets affectionately for a moment until he noticed Lance setting the food on the table as he quietly sang to himself in another language that Keith guessed was Spanish.
The words were beautiful, they seemed foreign to Keith's ears as if he was listening to a brand new language. Lance wasn't a bad singer, his voice was quiet and soft spoken making Keith have to lean out of his room a little bit in order to pick up on his words. He felt himself smiling as he continued to watch Lance sing to himself as if he was the only one in the room, he placed down two plates with chicken, rice, and green beans on the table with homemade gravy gently poured onto the rice with expert skill that would even put Hunk to shame.
'He's actually... Kinda cute...' Keith thought to himself in awe, he liked the way Lance moved his hips slightly to the tempo of his song and even twisted around on his heels at certain parts. His blue eyes seemed full of life in the dimly lit kitchen, he was wearing a loose grey T-shirt with a pair of black sweatpants. Keith looked down at his clothes and silently sighed to himself. He was still in his work clothing from earlier.
His purple eyes slowly lifted back to Lance and he noticed how he was smiling to himself and Keith felt his heart skip a beat slightly, it was adorable. He blinked and cleared his throat suddenly, catching Lance's attention as he pretended to open the door, "So is dinner ready yet?" He asked loudly, DaFuzzy and Lucifurr looked at him with mad looks on their faces before they raced off into his office down the hall.
"O-Oh yeah!" Lance turned bright red on his ears and cheeks and he quickly his his face by turning around to rush into the kitchen to grab drinks for the two of them.
Keith slowly closed his bedroom door and made his way to the table, Lance had lit two candles and placed them in the middle of the table as if this were their first date. The thought of having a date with Lance warmed his heart slightly and he looked down at the food. It looked so delicious he couldn't wait to dig into it and his stomach growled in agreement.
Lance rushed back over with two glasses of wine in hand and he placed one in front of Keith and the other where he sat across from him. He sat down and fixed his shirt quickly as if Keith would actually care about appearances at the dinner table at home. He looked up and forced a wide smile onto his face, "So Keith, how was work today?" He asked and began to cut into his chicken slowly, waiting for Keith to reply.
Keith slowly began to eat the rice first unlike his friend sitting across, "I mean, it was work...just crime scenes and stuff." He stated, not thinking his job was something that they should talk about on their first dinner together.
"Oh, um..." Lance looked like he was trying to find a new topic to carry out the conversation.
Keith smiled softly and looked up at the awkward man in front of him, "Twenty questions?" He asked.
"That's what you do on first dates though..." Lance frowned and Keith felt himself wanting to face palm but he instead raised his black eyebrows up. Lance's blue eyes widened and he turned an even deeper shade of red as he made a small squeak noise, "O-OH!" He exclaimed with a high voice that made Keith want to laugh.
Keith closed his eyes and felt himself laugh out of amusement, "That squeak, that was pretty adorable," He said absent mindedly. There was a long pause as Keith's face began to burn in embarrassment, he couldn't believe he had just told Lance he was adorable, TO HIS FACE. 'Oh good job Keith, now he's going to think you're a total creep for-'
"Thanks, I know I'm cute," Lance smiled at him. He felt his embarrassment lift with that simple grin plastered onto his face. It had been three years since the two met through Hunk, during those years Keith could never stand the tall Spanish boy on how he would flirt with every girl (and boy) in sight whenever he had the chance to.
What changed this so suddenly? Just yesterday the two were still fitting heads but ever since the lockets opened they did what seemed to be a 180 turn in attitude. Maybe those lockets made Keith come to realize what was in front of him, as he stared at Lance he couldn't help but feel something that he hasn't felt ever since he lived in his last foster family home. Security, he felt safe to spill out even his darkest secrets to his soulmate in front of him as the man talked to Keith, nodding and waving his fork around for enthusiasm. 'What would have happened if I had been paired with someone else? What could I be missing in my life with them instead of Lance? Would I not have this same feeling in my gut I have with him...?'
Lance raised his brown eyebrow and pointed his fork at Keith in annoyance, "I asked you the first question you idiot."
Keith blinked out of his thoughts and took a sip out of his drink, setting it down he cleared his throat and fixed his posture; "What was it, sorry I was in my own world there for a moment," He saw Lance rolled his eyes before he scooped up rice to eat.
His voice was muffled as he talked with his mouth full, "I had asked, what was your favorite childhood memory?" He looked at Keith expectantly and Keith swallowed down air in awkwardness.
He never really talked much about his childhood to anyone besides the one time he had accidentally gotten drunk at a office party. Irene had to take him home that night and bring him to his apartment, she listened quietly as he talked fondly of his foster parents Jared and Mary. Those two had taught him what it meant to be a family even if he was only there for two years before having to be moved to another family again. Irene was polite to not bring it up much after that, she was a kind woman but Keith knew that there was something about her that made him feel on edge. He didn't like how perceptive she was, he felt threatened whenever those light grey innocent eyes locked with his purple ones.
He pushed the thoughts to the back of his head as sighed slightly, "My favorite childhood memory would have to be when my dad taught me about space and everything he knew about it. Jared actually worked at NASA, so he knew a lot," Keith pointed out fondly.
"Whoa no way, he worked at the space shuttle place!" Lance exclaimed, leaning forward to show his interest in the conversation. His eyebrows were raised and his mouth was ajar in a silent gasp making Keith feel somehow special. He was being given the floor to talk about the only man he had ever managed to call his father.
He shook his head vigorously and laughed at how much of a child Lance was acting in front of him. "Yeah, 'the space shuttle place.' He was the guy who did the countdowns for launching and in his free time he would go study the stars. It was really cool to be honest, having a dad who worked for some big company like NASA," Keith told Lance while nodding his head every now and then.
"No way, I've always found the stars really interesting but my siblings called me a dork for trying to learn about them," Lance pouted slightly and sat back in his chair, he looked off past Lance longingly, as if he were thinking back to his family. "My favorite childhood memory would have to be when me and my eldest brother were playing a prank on our sister Maria and we wanted to dump water on her like how they did when you opened the door, get me?" He looked at Keith once more.
"Yeah the classic bucket on the door prank, real cliché there McClain. Real cliché..." Keith chuckled slightly.
"Shut up, that isn't the point. Anyways," Lance took in a deep breath and scooted up closer to the table, "So she was in the bathroom right, she was doing her makeup and all that snazzy girl stuff when Xavier and I placed the bucket on the door. We waited outside for a few minutes until she finally opened the door and the whole thing just spilt all over her, ruining her makeup to make her look like some psycho girl who had been crying!" Lance laughed slightly and made a funny face to go along with his story.
"She started freaking out screaming '¡Aye,'" He made a loud pitched girly Hispanic voice making Keith nearly choke on his food, "'Hijo de puta!' Dude she was so mad she punched the closest thing to her. That thing just happened to me and she took out my front teeth sending me to the hospital."
Keith began to laugh so hard his sides ached, "No way, your sister basically knocked you the hell out Lance."
"Oh I know, believe me I do! I had to go to school for the next few years with a huge gap in my teeth until my adult teeth came in during fifth grade. I was a late bloomer," Lance tapped his front teeth with his fork as he laughed loudly with Keith.
They talked a bit more about how Maria had also pushed Lance down the stairs in sixth grade making him break his left arm. His mom had started crying as his dad carried him out to the car to go to the hospital. He apparently had three brothers, and one older sister that happened to be Maria. Keith told him stories about how he and Jared's daughter Abigail would always fight with each other in highschool over stupid things like who was allowed dibs on the bathroom first in the morning or who could watch the TV when. The two of them never really got along because she would always bring home a new boyfriend every other week and tease him because he couldn't even get a date. The joke was on her in the end however, he had actually been dating the football team's quarterback secretly
"Abigail didn't know you were gay?" Lance asked in disbelief.
Keith shook his head in embarrassment, "No, she did but she knew I wasn't sociable to pick up a guy," He looked away from Lance with a light pink blush painting his face, he was actually enjoying the dinner, there were so many funny stories they were telling each other that there was no end to the conversation.
"That's great, I actually knew you were gay since the day I saw you. Call it a sixth sense, a... gaydar," Lance did a finger gun pose to Keith and smirked as he winked.
Keith felt second hand embarrassment from his soulmate doing this, who even said they had a sixth sense called a gaydar? "Please, never do that again," Keith groaned.
Lance rolled his eyes and flicked a piece of brown hair from his face, "Whatever, you know you thought it was adorable Keith," He said.
He did find it adorable but would he say it to Lance again that night? Hell no. "Nope, I did not find it adorable, more like embarrassing," Keith stated and shoved a forkful of chicken into his mouth. The two had gone through a full bottle of Rosé Wine already and half way through their second. There was sure to be weird conversations coming their way soon.
Lance looked away in disappointment and started to stare at his two cats who were laying down on the floor outside Keith's bedroom. DaFuzzy was grooming the younger Lucifurr as if she was his own kitten to raise. Keith had to admit it was cute to see the two in their relaxed state rather than their murderous one they only showed to Keith. There was a long silence until Lance finally asked, "Have you ever wanted to have kids with your partner Keith?"
Keith's eyes widened as he had a sudden flashback to Harry telling him to have safe sex and he sucked in a breath causing his chicken to slide into the back of his throat getting stuck. He stood up abruptly knocking over his chair as he began coughing and chugging his wine in a desperate attempt to wash down the food. "Oh my god Keith!" Lance jumped up in terror as he looked around hoping to find something to help him out.
Keith let out a breath of relief when he felt the food go down finally, he coughed and shook his head. "I'm...fine," Keith said in a raspy voice before picking up his chair slowly and grabbed the Rosé bottle off the kitchen counter. He wanted to show lance something special. "Come out on the balcony real quick, I want to show you something and then we can get back to the subject of... kids," He hesitated on the word 'kids'.
Lance quickly followed him outside with bright red ears, probably embarrassed by his question from earlier. The two stepped outside and closed the door behind them. The cold air chilled them to their bones as they leaned against the ice cold metal railing outside. Keith swished the wine around for a moment before taking a sip out of it and handing it to Lance who took a much larger gulp from it, nearly chugging the whole bottle before lowering it with a despondent look plastered across his face.
Keith swallowed back his guilt from acting so obnoxious towards his serious question moments before. He slowly looked above them and studied the stars for a moment, "Tell me a shape."
"Uhhh, a triangle?"
"Something more complex than that."
"Fine, a...I don't know a heart?" Lance said, unsure of what his answer was needed for.
Keith looked up for a little bit longer before sliding in behind Lance and pressed his body against his to see from the taller boys perspective. "Pardon me for being so direct...." He stated before grabbing Lance's hand and used his index to slowly trace out a cliché looking heart in the stars. He heard Lance's breath hitch in amazement suddenly.
"Whoa, do it again with a cat face this time!" He begged Keith suddenly.
'He's like a kid stuck in an adults body...' Keith thought to himself as he subconsciously slid his free arm around Lance's chest to pull him in closer, the body heat felt welcoming as he looked up at the sky for a few moments before he traced a cat face into them in triumph. This went on for a few minutes as lance named more complex shapes as they progressed.
However, the entire time Keith couldn't stop thinking about how close the two of them were. His face was close to the back of Lance's neck and he could smell the faint scent of cologne on him from earlier that day. Keith slowly leaned forward with his eyes closed to kiss Lance's neck but he realized what he was doing last second and stepped away from his roommate abruptly.
"Sorry I think I'm getting a little tired from all that wine I've had," Keith made up an excuse as he rubbed the back of his head awkwardly. It could've gone very badly if he had kissed Lance like that without warning, who knows how the man would've reacted towards him.
"I feel the same but, you never answered the question about kids," Lance mumbled under his breath.
Keith stepped up to the railing to stand next to Lance once more again. He looked down at the city lights below them quietly, thinking about what he could say to his friend without sounding like a complete dirt bag. "One day I might consider the option, but I have to love the person and trust them deeply in order to adopt a kid with him," He stated, slowly looking up to Lance to see the man looking down at him with warmth.
He smiled brightly and tilted his head to the side, "I'm sure you would make a great father to your kid one day Keith. You're so smart and a fantastic role model..."
Keith felt his chest warm up with embarrassment at his soulmates words, he knew if he didn't stop Lance from showering him in compliments he would end up saying or doing something stupid so he reached out and squeezed Lance's cheeks like a parent would do to their kid before he whispered, "Shhh. Don't flatter me."
The two were standing there like that for the next few moments, Keith's hand on Lance's burning red cheeks, both men flustered and bright red. "Y-yeah r-right!" Lance mumbled through his squished face which Keith found cute.
"I'm ready for bed, I'll see you in the bedroom in a few Lance, I have to return Irene's calls," Keith stated quickly and pulled out his phone to distract himself.
Lance hesitated for a moment before he pushed off the railing and stumbled over to the glass door, clearly dunk. "Okay, I-I'll see you in bed keith~" he hiccupped.
Keith tried to ignore how much that comment made him uncomfortable as he flicked through his contacts to pull up Irene, he pressed the girls happy face and placed the phone against his ear slowly. There was the dial tone and silence before a stressed voice sounded on the other end. "Hello?" Irene grunted.
Keith was taken back by this as he stood up straight suddenly, "Irene? Is something wrong?" He asked in concern, he was feeling a little dizzy now; the wine was finally kicking in.
"I...I'm fine Mr. Kogane! I'm just trying to clean up my house, my parents visited me and my little brother left such a mess," She laughed slightly making Keith relax a little, "Oh about earlier I was just calling to let you know that we couldn't locate the vase on the property so we decided that the Pyxis killer took it with them as a trophy or something of the sort, by the way you sound a little tipsy...have you been drinking sir?"
Keith thought he had sounded normal, but then again seeing two moons in the sky was normal for any drunk person, "Nah, I'm fine Irene. Just had a few drinks with my friends is all. And fill me in with what happened at the office tomorrow. Thanks," He hung the phone up before she could say anything else. He just wanted to lay down and pass out in his bed.
He stumbled through the apartment and opened his door to find lance struggling to get into the bed as he stumbled a bit. Keith placed his phone onto his dresser next to his jacket and quickly placed his arms around Lance to help him into bed carefully, he didn't want the idiot to fall over and bang his head on anything. "Careful Lance..." He grunted as he gently laid his friend down as he giggled slightly. Lance was beyond drunk.
"You be careful, you're so close to me I could kiss you..." Lance giggled and poked Keith's nose with his index finger playfully.
He noticed that Lance was looking at him enticingly and he felt his entire body wanting to lean in to hold him in his arms but he shook his head in hopes that it would make those thoughts disappear. "Lance, one of us are at least capable of making responsible choices currently and I'm gonna make sure we don't do anything stupid tonight," Keith said sternly, ignoring his own bodies desperate pleas.
"Oh come on, lighten up lover boy, kiss me~" Lance whispered and pulled Keith down to place a soft kiss on Keith's neck gently.
Keith clenched his jaw and his eyes went wide suddenly as his body shivered at the touch. Lance pulled Keith on top of him so that the Korean man straddled him awkwardly as he showered him in delicate kisses down his neck. Keith slowly felt himself craving more than this as his chest tightened up in nervousness. He closed his eyes and slid his hand into Lance's shirt to feel the lanky man's body he had never been able to see. He shivered in desire as Lance bit his sweet spot on his neck making Keith moan quietly. He opened his eyes slowly to place his hand into Lance's hair but then he snapped back to reality and pushed off of Lance quickly.
He wiped the kiss marks on his neck hoping it would make the memory of them disappear and exclaimed suddenly, "Nope not today gay thoughts, not today!" Sternly and twisted on his heels to rush out the door only looking back to a disappointed Lance to inform him he was going to be sleeping somewhere else.
He slammed the door shut and let out a small breath of relief. He had almost done something he would've regretted in the morning, his eyes widened as he realized he had forgotten to check the texts from Harry. He sighed stumbling over to the couch to move the various blankets to lay down slowly. He stared up at the ceiling as he remembered the way Lance's lips brushed over his skin. His face began to burn up as he tried to forget it but how could someone forget something that felt so good?
