My Life After You
Since you've left my life, I still picture my life in the future, with a grand porch that sits two rocking chairs and a swing. I still picture every single thing in my future life the same except the man whom I will spend it with has changed.
The man who now inhabits the bed has lighter hair than yours that doesn't cover his face because he's not hiding anything from me. His sweet voice sings me to sleep and I wake up to his lips that kiss me softly without teeth. His hands may be rough with callouses but he is never callous to me. He tells me I am beautiful when I am fully clothed and shows me when I am not. He is the man I picture with me.
Everything has improved, since you left me.
