Phoebe Laine was the 'slut of the school'. At least that's what people thought about her. She didn't let any of the rumours bother her, because she knew they were far from true. Her mother had walked out on her at the ripe age of thirteen, so she had more important things to worry about than silly high school gossip. So, Phoebe navigated Hartley High School with her head held high, unbothered by other's vulgar opinions.

Malakai Mitchell was the new boy in school. He immediately took notice of Phoebe Laine during his first day. Despite all the warnings of her supposed promiscuity, Malakai fell for her, hard. Things seem to be going well for them, until he hooks up with another girl after Mardi Gras.

Daisy Santos had been in love with Amerie Wadia since they were in Year 7. She thought things were finally taking a positive turn when they kissed at one of Spider's Year 10 parties in. However, Amerie ended up completely blanking the girl and they haven't spoken ever since.

To make matters worse, Amerie Wadia was utterly obsessed with Dustin Reid. So Daisy made it her mission to win over Amerie's attention.
