"Sooo, how did your date with Travis go?" Aphmau asked me.

"Pretty good," I told her as I walked back from the dining room.

"Did anything happen?" She asked me.

"Yeah, considering it was a date, stuff happened," I said vaguely as I washed some dishes.

"Like what?" She pushed.

"Date stuff," I said with a shrug. She gasped.

"Did he kiss you?!" She questioned. I bit my lip to hold back my smile.

"Yeah," I replied.

"MY SH-" I cut her off by slamming my hand over her mouth.

"Shut your mouth," I hissed. She mumbled something that sounded like sorry from underneath my hand.

"So are you two boyfriend and girlfriend now?" She asked after I took my hand off her mouth.

"What? No! It was just a date, that doesn't mean we're automatically going out," I told her.

"But you want to~" sang Aphmau.

"What I want to do is get back to work," I said as I walked out to the diner to the people who sat at my table.

"Hello, may I take your order?" I asked as I pulled out my paper and pen, not paying attention to who the people were. I looked up and saw B/n and Alex, an old friend of mine.

"Wow, Y/n, never thought I'd see you here," Alex said.

"Alex! I hadn't seen you in so long!" He got up and hugged me. "What're you doing here?"

"I was in town with B/n and she told me you work here so we thought we'd drop in," he answered.

"Well, it's a nice surprise," I told him cheerfully. "Do you guys wanna order?" They gave me their orders and I set off for the kitchen to tell the cooks what's up. I brought them their drinks while their food was being made.

"Hey, Y/n, tomorrow do you wanna grab dinner? To catch up," he asked me.

"Yeah, sure. Sounds fun. I get off at 5 tomorrow so we can get dinner at 6?," I told him.

"Yeah," he said with a smile. "How about at Nick's, that new Italian place?"

"Sounds great," I replied.

"Who was that?" Aphmau said as I walked back.

"Alex, one of my old friends," I explained.

"He's trying to get with you," she blurted out.

"What?"

"He got up and hugged you and then asked you to dinner! That's like cheating on Travis!"

"We're just friends, he asked me to dinner to catch up," I told her.

"Y/n, sweetheart, when a guy asks you to dinner, no matter what, unless he's gay, he's into you," she said to me.

"He's not into me, I can promise you that. And if he tries making a move on me I'll just tell him I have a boyfriend," I said.

"So you and Travis are dating!"

"No, we aren't; it's an excuse you dork," I said.

"Why can't you just accept that you're dating him?"

"Cause we're not! Now if you excuse me, I have stuff to do." I walked past her and got the food from the kitchen. I went back into the dining room and to B/n's table.

"Here you guys go," I said with a warm smile.

After I got home, I collapsed on my couch. But then I started to think about Alex. Would it be cheating on Travis? I wouldn't want to make Travis worry. After all that he's done for me it'd be a bitch move to go out to dinner with some other guy. I should probably cancel plans and make up some excuse. Maybe that I forgot my boyfriend and I already made plans for tomorrow night. I have his number from B/n so I could just text him. Maybe when he sees I have a "boyfriend" he'll not want to reschedule.

I pulled out my phone and texted Alex.

Y: hey, sorry, but I forgot that my boyfriend and I already made plans for tomorrow night. :/
A: oh that's fine. Maybe we can catch up another time?
Y: yeah of course!

He didn't reply after that. I hope i didn't make him mad >~<
