Minutes turn to hours on a day-long bus journey. After dubbed Hollywood flicks and goofy Thai game shows, visual enough to break the language barrier, we arrive in Bangkok.

Follow Google maps to our hostel's neighbourhood,

Wander lost until a security guard redirects us.

The hostel owner waits up for our arrival. In a haze while paying for the room, 1000 baht goes missing.

After much deliberation and a few conversations, we conclude we overpaid for this shack.

Filthy bathrooms.

Paper thin walls.

Letting our guards down is dangerous.
