Anisaskan Falls lies in a mountainous valley

Reached after a long descent

A temple sits, awaiting construction

Buddha's golden robe overshadowed by snake

The falls roar from 122 meters above

Between sections of dense greenery,

Suspended water shimmers in the sunlight

A handful of us look around.

Mist dots our sweating skin

An inquisitive dog brings her pups by.

Rapids and smaller falls wind along the path.

Turquoise pools make us wish for warmer weather
