Twenty
Yeah.
A lot is going to happen in this chapter.
Read with caution and love, my sweetie pies.
You may read now, my beautiful and lovely angels.:)
Much love.
Kirstie practically punched the police officer handling her, grunting when she was slammed down on a chair. Rick was glaring at her, scoffing as he sat down and crossed his arms. Kirstie was handcuffed immediately, huffing angrily as she glared at Rick.
She won't give up.
"You have a lot of explaining to do," Rick seethed, his face becoming red as Kirstie smirked. "You hurt my son! Scott has schizophrenia, Kirstin! You know perfectly well that he cannot handle stuff like that! How dare you hurt him?!"
"Ask him why he would hurt Mitch then ask me that question again," Kirstie retorted, shaking her head as scoffed herself. She became tight-lipped, looking around as she smirked. "You can't get anything out of me. You're really funny if you think you can."
"Oh, really?" Rick asked, standing up and walking over to the door. Kirstie nodded, wanting to run off when she remembered that she was handcuffed to the table. The other officer in the room kept her hands on Kirstie's shoulders, making sure that the criminal didn't run off. "I might not be able to get it out of you, but I was able to get it out of someone else."
"Who would that be?" Kirstie laughed out, shaking her head at the T.V as tears gathered in her eyes. Rick stuck a video cassette in, making Kirstie laugh louder as she snorted. "Are we watching a movie now? Are you going to torture me with some horrible movie from the 1990s?!"
"You wish," Rick muttered, pushing the 'play button' on the VCR. What appeared on the screen made Kirstie widened her eyes.
And Rick smile.
There on the screen was Scott and Rick, both of them talking and smiling before Scott cleared his throat, becoming serious before Rick began to ask questions.
"Now, Scott. I know you're scared, but you do know that you will get help on prison. You'll be okay and you might be eglible for bail. Understand?"
Scott nodded, wiping his eyes and murmuring a thank you when Rick gave him a tissue. Scott took a deep breath, clearing his throat before talking.
"Yes, I understand. Where do you want me to start?"
"From the beginning, from the time Mitch was doing drugs to the time he was stabbed. I know it's hard for you to remember, but tru your best."
Scott nodded, wiped his eyes once more, and started to talk. Kirstie watched with a snarl and glared while Rick and the officer smiled at the evidence.
Kirstie can't back out now.
"Okay, so, Kirstie and I do do drugs illegally. Kirstie knows someone who sells them and I have no knowledge of that person. Anyway, from what I remember, Kirstie and I made Mitch do drugs. I was in the middle of a mild episode and came out of it the second Mitch inserted the needle. I was quick to act like I was impressed even though I was upset. Anyway, this happened for a month or so when he started to do drugs and one night, Kirstie told me he was doing majijuana and I wanted to tell him he shouldn't and when I came over-"
Scott broke down in tears, breathing heavily as he shook his head. Rick swallowed roughly as the officer wiped her eyes gently, Kirstie shaking her head the entire time.
Scott was going to get it.
"I raped him, Daddy. I'm a rapist and a druggie and just an overall horrible person and I hate myself everyday because of it.
"Scott, don't hate yourself, hate what you did."
( A/N: Haley, you inspired that part.)
Scott nodded his head, taking a deep breath before speaking again.
"After that, he was sent to rehab and I was a wreck. I hated it. When he came back, I was so happy. But Kirstie had other plans. She almost made Mitch do drugs again and when he refused she led him to the forest where we played hide and seek and...well, you get the picture."
"I do. Thank you, Scott."
The tape stopped and Kirstie screamed, looking at Rick angrily.
"I'M GOING TO KILL HIM!"
Rick laughed.
Yeah right.
~~~
When Mitch woke up, his side's were in slight pain, but he didn't care.
He had a new kidney!
"Hi, Mitch," a soft voice whispered, getting Mitch's attention. It was Mario, his smile wide and eyes wet as he looked over Mitch. "You look amazing, Mitch. You really do."
Mitch was about to object when he remembered Alex telling him he was beautiful despite all the scars he had that were scattered against his body. Mitch smiled, nodding his head in thanks as he looked at Mario.
"Thank you, Mario."
"Anytime," Mario whispered as he looked at the sleeping Alex, chuckling as he looked back at Mitch. "Is he treating you right? I don't need to hurt him or anything?"
"Not yet," Mitch replied playfully, managing to get a laugh out of Mario. He laughed too, raising an eyebrow as he looked around. "Hey, do you know where my dads are? I want to see them."
"Oh," Mario commented, his voice shaking as he took a letter out of his pocket. He handed it too Mitch, tears welling in his eyes as he tried his best not to sob. "Mitch, Pops wanted me to give this to you. It explains everything."
Mitch raised an eyebrow, opening the letter to see what Mario was talking. He read over it, the first sentence already making tears gather in his eyes.
My Baby Boy,
When you receive this letter, you will have my kidney and I will die knowing that I saved the person I meant to love forever. You are everything I every needed and as I watched you grow into the person you are today, I realized something that I never knew that I needed to realize. Even though I had a life full of activities I wanted to do and things to accomplish, I realized that watching you grow and having you in my life completed everything. I will never be able to travel to all the places I wanted to go to or meet the people that influenced me greatly, but that doesn't matter. You are the person I've been wanting to meet since the day I could walk and I have never been more grateful.
You have been so much in your short life and you have inspired me so much. I would have given up in the very beginning, but you fought and prospered to where you are k
now and I cannot be anymore proud of you. A tear wells up in my eye when I look you because I still cannot believe that you went through not only one but two difficult times in your live, which were both in one year. You could have given up right then and there, but you didn't. I am so proud of you, baby boy.
I'm going to miss you so much, but please make sure your dad is okay. He'll need you and you'll need him. Don't give up because I left; try harder because I will be cheering you on from the sidelines. You were made to do amazing things and I cannot wait to see them from Heaven. I love you so much, baby boy.
With much love,
Poppy
P.S: If Alex redeems himself, date him. I know he'll make you happy.
Mitch was a sobbing mess, clinging onto the paper as Mario wrapped his arms around his friend. Alex woke up abruptly, his eyes wide as he looked at Mitch.
"What happened? Why is he crying?"
"Avi died, Alex," Mario mumbled sadly, tears in his eyes as Alex widened his eyes. "He's go-"
"No, I'm not."
Mitch gasped, Mario letting him go as Kevin wheeled Avi over. Mitch was crying happy tears now, shaking his head as looked up at Kevin.
"How?!"
"Well, the surgeon your father had did his tumor surgery before you lived with us and realized that the tumors your father had shrinked. There was no way his cancer came back."
"How?!"
"Apparently, the pills I was taking had a powder in them that made me think my cancer came back. Who would do that?"
Mitch shrugged his shoulders as Alex spoke up, shaking his head.
"I know who did it."
~~~
"Mitch is back," Scott screamed excitedly, running inside his house joyfully. Connie screamed at the sudden entrance, putting a hand over her chest delicately as Scott laughed. "I'm sorry, Mom. Mitch is back! He's better! He's not in rehab anymore!"
"That's amazing, hon," Connie smiled, wondering why Scott was acting like this. He didn't speak highly of Mitch all too often so his statement made Connie suspicious. "Why are you happy he's back? You're usually talking horribly about him. What made you change that?"
Scott widened his eyes, not knowing how to respond. He really did miss Mitch, but every time he did talk to Connie and Rick about Mitch, he usually talked about the sweet boy with malice and hatred. No one would ever think he liked Mitch if they heard the way Scott talked about Mitch.
They will just think he's lying about Mitch and being happy about Mitch coming back after a year.
"Well, I guess things change," Scott spoke happily, shrugging his shoulders as he kissed Connie's temple. "Anyway, I am very happy. Even though he wasn't that happy to see me."
"I don't mean to be rude, but I could see why after the way you treated him," Connie replied in an authoritative voice, not feeling the least bit sorry when Scott's smile fell. "Honey, I know you can't control it, but that doesn't excuse your actions. Especially when your schizo-"
"Please don't say it," Scott whimpered, covering his ears as tears welled in his eyes. He sniffed loudly, shaking his head as he took deep breaths. "I know I'm crazy, but don't say it. I'm sorry."
"Scott Richard," Connie whispered softly, shaking her head as she put her hands over Scott's gently. Scott shook his head, closing his eyes gently as he sobbed. "You are not crazy. You are greater than your schizophrenia, baby. Don't let people think of you differently because of it."
"I just want to be normal," Scott whimpered, taking more deep breaths as his phone rang. He ignored it, shaking his head as he removed Connie's hands from his face. "I'm going upstairs."
Connie nodded, putting her hand over her chest as she thought how it was unfair about Scott going through this.
No one deserved this.
As Scott walked upstairs, his phone rang once more and he took his phone out his pocket, shaking his head in disgust.
Kirstie: I have an idea that you cannot not disagree with. It works out perfectly. Don't be a coward.
Kirstie: Are you there, crazy boy? Answer. Now. It's important.
Scott rolled his eyes and texted back, his hands shaking at his anger.
Scott: What is it? I bet it's not important.
Scott almost put his phone away and was about to open his door when his phone rang once more, making him groan angrily. He unlocked his phone, his heart dropping at the text.
Kirstie: It's important when it has to do with the safety of your family. Come over right now and you shall find out.
Scott: Okay. I'm coming. Hold on.
Scott went inside his room and walked to his window, opening it so he wouldn't have to talk to his mother about leaving again. He hopped out of his room and off the roof, walking across the street to Kirstie's house. Once he reached the house, Kirstie opened the door evilly and smirked at Scott, letting the poor boy in.
"Come right in, Scott. I have a plan that you cannot back out of or you'll lose your family forever. You didn't want that, right?"
Nod.
"What was that?"
"Yes, ma'am."
"Good boy," Kirstie replied, letting Scott into her house. Angelica was nowhere to bring found, striking fear into the poor boy. "Now, what I am about to say amd show stays in this room. If you say anything, I'll kill your family one by one, starting with that pesky nephew of yours."
"Yes, ma'am."
Kirstie smirked and showed Scott a board with pictures of knives and articles of people stabbing other people, making Scott frown as he looked at Kirstie.
What did this mean?
"I'm confused. What does this mean?"
Kirstie laughed evilly.
"You'll find out, Scott."
A/N: Hmmm, I wonder what Kirstie is planning.;) The story is coming to end and even though I am sad, I am very happy to work on my other stories. Anyways, I hope that you all enjoyed this chapter and remember that I love you all.:)
