Hi.
So...
I'm sick.
I feel like I'm dying.
I missed class today and will miss it tomorrow.
Life is fun.:)
Since I'm doing homework tomorrow, I'll update this!
Wow...I'm actually updating a lot. I'm happy.
Also...I realized that I haven't put any triggers in the past couple chapters. If you were triggered in anyway, please tell me.
I love you.<3
ON WITH THE STORY
WARNINGS: mention of mental illness
Rick Hoying is a smart man.
Being in the police force ever since he left college has prepared him for how dangerous people truly are and even though he is fearful of that, he will not hesitate to fight back. He has a family he loves back at home. His wife. Daughters.
Son.
Scott was the sweetest kid ever, believe it or not. He never bullied anyone or hated on someone. He thought that bullying was wrong, no matter how much someone hurt you or how much they annoy you. He was never like that.
Until he met Kirstie.
Kirstie was rude and rambunctious, always dragging Scott into her crazy endeavors. It was a tragic story of a good boy gone bad. Scott let Kirstie influence him and did not manage to fight back even once because he loved the change he was experiencing.
He really did.
Kirstie introduced him to drugs and anything else you could think of. It scared Scott's parents. Scott started doing drugs in seventh grade and didn't even think about what could happen to him if he kept on letting these drugs attack his body.
Until he was diagnosed with schizophrenia.
Being schizophrenic not only made Scott worried about his actions but made him wonder what he did while he had an episode. He had episodes from October to November his senior year and he always got out of them once he left Mitch's house. He was always confused by the realization of condoms in his pocket and why Mitch was so scared and jumpy around him when they went to school.
His schizophrenia was highly determertial to his mental health and his therapist later on told his parents that there are moments were his schizophrenia didn't take over him, but that he is the one taking over his schizophrenia. That might seem like a good thing, but it made his parents wonder...
What has Scott done that wasn't caused by his schizophrenia?
What has he done when he hasn't taken his pills and how he reacted to his surroundings?
He does these deadly things that scares everyone around them and they try so hard to do what is best for him and would be absolutely heartbroken if they find out he committed any crimes.
Which is Rick is doing while expecting this knife in a more careful matter.
"How can Mitch's D.N.A be on here? Well, his blood. Duh. But nobody could do anything this deadly to themselves unless they want attention and Mitch isn't one that likes attention."
Rick sighed as he left the D.N.A room, running a hand through his hair as he thought harder about this. Mitch is the shyest kid he knows so why would a shy person like him do this to themselves to get attention?
It made no sense!
He was about to go to his office when he heard the alarms go off, widening his eyes as he remembered that sound.
He could remember it from anywhere.
The D.N.A room.
"Rick, I'm sorry. The-"
"What happened?" Rick yelled, running into the room. "What happened?!"
"The knife was stolen, Rick. We will never know who did this to Mitch."
No.

When Mitch woke up, his abdomen was in pain.
He woke up in a recliner and a white blanket over him, a loud machine next to him that scared him a bit. He rubbed his eyes, yawning a bit as he adjusted to his surroundings. Avi was on the phone and hung up quickly, smiling as he saw his beautiful son wake up from the surgery that will change his life forever.
"Hey, kiddo," Avi murmured, kissing Mitch's forehead. Mitch smiled, groaning as he adjusted himself. "You look great, son. You really do. You are so strong."
"I don't feel like it," Mitch murmured, looking away from his dad. Avi frowned, running his hands through his son's hair. "I'm weak, Pops. Always have been."
"You're not though. Believe me when said that not everyone can go through what you have been through. They would have given up the moment the journey began, but you are still here and alive and I cannot be anymore grateful for that. Gosh, Mitch. What I would do to be in your position."
Mitch shook his head, holding onto his father's head as the machine did its work.
Making sure Mitch stayed alive and didn't get hurt any longer.
"No, Pops. I would not want you to be here on this chair. I'm here because I was being dumb with drugs. I wouldn't be going through this if I didn't inject heroin in my body. It's my fault."
"Then why did you tell Kirstie's name when the nurse was about to give you the shot?"
Mitch didn't know how to respond. He was about to answer when he heard someone knocking on the door, putting a smile on Avi's face. Avi looked back at mktch, winking before standing up.
"There's someone here to see you."
Mitch raised, wondering who it could be when the person turned around the corner. Mitch dropped his jaw open, screaming as tears welled up in his eyes as he extended his arms out. The person laughed, tearing up as well as they hugged Mitch.
"I-I mi-mi-missed you so mu-mu-much, Mario! I missed you."
"I'm here, baby boy. Don't cry," Mario murmured, smiling as Mitch held onto him with his weakened strength. "I'm missed you too. You're going to get better and I will be here the entire time. Um, so...what's new?"
Mitch sighed as he thought about what happened.
What did hap-
Oh.
Alex.
"Um, it's hard to explain. Taking about it will exhaust me," Mitch responded, not wanting to even think about the second man who broke his heart. "Anyway, how about you?"
"I have a recording contact and should be releasing my E.P this year," Mario replied shyly, causing Mitch to gasp happily. Avi went outside without saying a word, letting the friends talk. "I start recording tomorrow."
"Mario, I'm so happy for you! I always knew you were going to be the famous one!"
"It's not big deal. I might not even make it big in the music industry. I wrote a song though."
"Oohhhh," Mitch commented, winking a bit. Mario blushed, shaking his head as Mitch pushed him playfully. "What's it called and who is it for?"
"It's called Rise and well, it's dedicated for you. It's about what you been through."
Mitch dropped his jaw once more, putting a hand over his chest as he cried a bit. Mario hugged Mitch again, shushing him to make sure he didn't exert himself. The moment was torn apart when Avi was yelling at someone, coming back inside with every ounce of anger appearing on his face.
"Mitch, you have a visitor."
Mitch nodded and was about to ask who when the visitor came in, widening his eyes almost instantly.
"Da-Dad?"

A/N: I honestly don't know what to write for this, so enjoy the free-write by me.
"Kevin, I'm nervous," Avi whispered as they walked ton the orphanage. Kevin held his husband's hand gently, squeezing it a bit to give reassurance to the man he will always love. "What if he doesn't love us?"
"He will, Avi. He'll just be confused at first. It's okay. Any three year old would be confused by people picking them up the orphanage ,even when we say we're adopting them," Kevin reassured, smiling as he opened the door. A receptionist looked up at them, smiling softly as the couple walked in. "Hello, we're the Olusolas. We're here to see our son. Mitchell Coby Michael?"
"Aw, yes. Mitch. Such a sweetheart," the receptionist replied, typing a few stuff on her computer before smiling back at the couple. "If you would like to follow me, you will see him. Caution though, he is very shy. A lot of couples choose not to adopt him on the spot or bring him back an hour later because of his shyness and lack of interaction. It's really sad. He hasn't had a stable home since his parents died."
Avi gasped sadly, looking at Kevin with tear filled eyes. Who in the world would not want to adopt a child, who is just a baby, because they were shy and didn't interact with adults? That's messed up! A child should never face abandonment like that.
"That's poor baby," Kevin murmured, shaking his head as Avi cried silently. "Well, I promise you that we will not let that happen to him. Heck, the only time we will bring him back is when he wants to visit you guys. He is ours and we are his."
"You're amazing people," the receptionist commented happiky, leading the couple to a room full of children running around. They were loud and rambunctious, almost knocking the adults over. "Let's see...where's Mitch? Mitch is the baby of this adoption center. He usually doesn't play with the older kids and stays in the corner reading or coloring, which we don't mind at all. Each child interacts at different rates and it takes a while for them to open up. Oh, there he is! Follow me!"
Avi smiled at Kevin, almost hopping up and down at the excitement of having a son.
Their own baby.
That they could call their own.
"Calm down, baby. You'll scare him."
"I'm sorry. I'm just excited."
Kevin smiled, taking Avi's hand once more as they followed the lady only to stop at what is the most beautiful child they have ever seen.
His eyes were the first things they noticed. They were like stars in the night sky and Avi made himself to remember to tell the small child he was a bright star. His hair was mousy yet the most beautiful color of brown, his bangs covering his entire forehead and the top of his eyelashes. His lips were plump and pink, giving himself a bit of a pout yet Kevin couldn't stop freaking out about how adorable this child is. His small body made him look younger than he really is, even though he is at the tender age of three years old. His clothes were not in the best condition, but Avi made sure to buy new clothes if that was the case. The lady smiled at Mitch, squatting down to talk to him softly.
"Mitchy, the men are your fathers. Want to say hello?"
The starry eyes glanced up at the two men, making the small boy hide behind his teddy bear. The adults laughed and Avi knelt down, smiling at his son sweetly.
His own son.
"Hi, I'm Poppy. In other words, I'm your dad and the man behind me is your dad also. I love you very much."
Mitch looked over his teddy bear, smiling back at Avi before hugging him tightly. Kevin smiled as he walked over, tears in his eyes as he realized something.
This baby is really theirs.
"Hi, my is name Mitchy. And I love you too. Promise me that you will never leave me or take me back here. It's scary."
"Never in a million years."
In less than five minutes, Mitch was fast asleep in his new car seat and cuddling his teddy bear while Avi and Kevin looked back at him and each other, smiling as they established one fact...
The Olusola family is completed.
A/N: Some free-write, huh? I'm sorry if it sucked, I really am. I'm trying my best to make this story long and not super short. Sorry. Please tell me if I'm not doing that right. Anyways, I hope that you all enjoyed this video and remember that I love you all.:)
