Sixteen
Oh boy...
A lot has happened, uh?
And more is going to happen and it's going to be sad.
Very sad.
But fear not because I have planned the ending.
And it is-
Oh, we have to go on with the story!
Also, please read RoseGoldHeart 's new one-shot Formation! I'll read the rest of it, Kyah! I just have been busy. Sorry, babe!
These sections of the chapters are short for a reason.
Alex watched with tearful eyes as Scott was handcuffed, looking over at Connie and felt his heart break more. The poor woman was crying, her hand over her chest as she looked up at Alex.
"They're going to hurt him, Alex. What he did was so wrong and he should be punished for it, but jail?! Alex, he's my baby. He's going to get hurt."
Alex was about to speak when Scott turned over, tears in his eyes yet a smile on his face. Alex walked over, ignoring the police officers telling him to back off, smiling softly as he stopped in front of Scott. Scott leaned over and kissed Alex one last time, letting a tear run down his cheek as he was pushed into the police car. Before the door was closed, Scott looked up at Alex and smiled sadly.
"You forgot to close the curtains on your front door and I saw you kiss Mitch. I cried for what seemed like forever until I was able to knock on the door. But Alex? Get him for me, okay? He deserves you. You'll never regret it. Once you see his eyes light up, your life will change forever."
The police man closed the door after that and Scott nodded goodbye at Alex, the police car driving off after the policemen hopped in the car to drive Scott to the station. Rick walked over, breathing heavily before looking over at Alex with tears in his eyes.
"Scott will have therapy while in jail. If I were to do the math right, he will be in jail for ten to fifteen years, but because of his mental illness, he will most likely have a chance of parole. I don't know at this point if he deserves it. It's up to the jury."
Alex nodded, thinking about Mitch and what Scott said about him. Scott saw them kissing? That broke Alex's heart thinking about how both boys he lived both suffered from mental illnesses and just needed someone to take them away from their worries.
None of them deserved pain yet Alex hurt them both at the same time.
He hated himself for it.
"I-I'll go to the trial. I just need space."
Alex walked away before Rick and Connie said anything, knowing one thing and one thing only.
He will make sure that he will never hurt them.
Again.

Mitch begged himself not to cry, but he couldn't help but break down in tears when Avi walked over to him. Avi frowned, coughing and stopping in his spot for five seconds until he walked to Mitch.
"Mitch, I'm going to be oka-"
"You broke your promise."
Avi stopped, raising an eyebrow at Mitch's statement and was about to ask what Mitch meant until his son interrupted him.
"You promised me that you will not die and now you have cancer again and you chose not to do treatment and now you're dying. You broke your promise."
Oh.
"Mitch, I-"
"Why are you doing this, Poppy?" Mitch asked, his voice breaking as he looked at Avi seriously. "I need you. You were my first best friend and now you're leaving me and I-"
Mitch sobbed quietly, putting his hands over his face as he tried to ignore the fate that was bound to face. Avi hugged Mitch tightly, shushing him as Kevin walked over. Kevin looked over at Mitch and was about to ask what was wrong when Avi just shook his head no. Kevin nodded and sat down, praying that there would be light in the darkness in this terrible time.
He hated facing this terrible thought of losing the man he gave his all to. It wasn't fair.
"Let's go home."
Avi nodded, walking Mitch over to the car while Kevin walked behind them. He hated how the doctor spoke, wanting to clutch his fist and punch the doctor in his face.
"The process could be short, long...make him comfortable...at home or in hospice...make his last days memorable..."
Avi is not going to die. Everything was going to be okay and Kevin will do anything to fix their relationship before Avi pas-
No.
Avi was going to survive this and everything will be okay. Mitch will survive his kidney failure and-
Kevin then realized that there was a chance that he could lose both of the people he has loved his entire life. He wanted to drop in his knees and cry and yell at the God he believed in for doing this for him.
It was unfair.
"Kevin, let's go home. Mitch is tired."
Kevin nodded, hopping into the front as Avi climbed in carefully. Mitch did the same, sighing heavily as he thought...
I'm losing my best friend. I'm going to be lonely.

"Wait, WHAT?!"
"He's in rehab," Angelica replied softly, trying her best to ignore Kirstie's glare. "He had a hard time dealing with drugs and-"
"He was being an idiot, Mom! He knows better than to do dru-"
"What's that in your pocket?"
Kirstie widened her eyes, the blunt she was going to use for later in sight for anyone to see. She cleared her throat and smiled nervously, hoping that this lie will save her butt.
"It's a lollipop, Mom. Now if you excuse me, I have better stuff to do than worry about Mitch."
Kirstie walked off, her head in the clouds as she hopped into her expensive car that she complained about when she wanted a new phone. She turned up the volume, not caring if anyone was annoyed by the loud sound. Kirstie drove up to Scott's house and opened the unlocked door, expecting the happy-go-lucky blond to have a smile on his face and a hop in his step when she stopped at the sight.
"Scott, what the heck?!"
Scott was laying on the couch, tears rolling down his cheeks as he hugged the picture frame that held a picture of him and Mitch from seventh and eighth grade. They both looked so happy and they were because Kirstie was gone for two weeks.
That was the best two weeks of their lives.
"I miss him, Kirstie. I miss him so mu-"
"Oh, shut up, Scott!"
Kirstie slapped Scott on the cheek, not caring if her hand was throbbing at the hard force. Scott gasped in pain, putting a hand on his cheek as he looked at Kirstie with tears in his eyes.
"Get over yourself. Mitch did this to himself. He is all to blame for this. He does not deserve sympathy."
Scott frowned, not wanting to do this. He never wanted Mitch to drugs because of the mental illness he suffered from yet Kirstie made him do it when he was suffering with his endless episodes.
He hated it.
"I love him, Kirstie. You can't change that."
"Fine then, be a loser. Just know that I always win in the end."
With that said, Kirstie walked off with a smirk on her face. If she could make people bad for another person's actions, then so be it. She loved and craved manipulation.
And she always got what she wants.
No matter what.
A/N: I'm really sorry for the shortness of this chapter. I have been tired all day and I was focusing on resting, lol. This isn't my best chapter, tbh. Anyways, I hope that you all enjoyed this chapter and remember that I love you all.:)
