P.S: hxley_ann ...I'm writing this for you.xD
November came faster than Mitch wanted it to.
Scott came over to his house every night and proceeded to take Mitch out with him so they could have dates.
The drugs took a toll on his physical health too. He looked skinner, his bones were more prominent than usual, his skin looked ashy, and the bags under his eyes were heavier. His hair looked greasy and his once bright white teeth now have a yellow tint to it. He looked...
Horrible.
"Mitch? Your dad and I need to talk to you."
Mitch flinched, looking at himself at his mirror once more. He could not believe that this was happening to him.
His once beautiful body resembles a skeleton and he hated it. He hated being this way, looking this way. He hated it.
And he hates himself.
"Okay, hold on," Mitch called out, putting some concealer on his face. His face wasn't that ashy because of the makeup, but it was evident that the drugs are attacking his healthy body and his mental health. "Coming!"
He walked downstairs, his parents looking at him with seriously. He walked slowly, becoming nervous at the sad look in Avi's eyes. Kevin looked upset, sighing to himself as Mitch walked over to them. Mitch sat down on the ottoman, nodding his head as he adjusted himself to prepare himself for the confrontation that'll take place.
They found out that I'm doing drugs. I'm so scared.
"Mitch, your father and I have been talking about your health. We think you need to get help."
"For what?" Mitch asked nervously, looking over at Avi. Kevin sighed, getting his attention. What happened if they found out about the drugs?
Will they put him back into the foster care system?
"We were just...thinking...that you have an eating disorder."
Oh...OH!
"Oh, okay," Mitch replied, hoping that he wasn't caught in a lie. Avi nodded, his frown making Mitch's heart ache. "I-I just haven't been hungry, you know? I guess I just let it go out of hand."
You've done more than let things go out of hand, Mitchell.
"Mitch, your father and I just want best for you," Avi spoke up, his green eyes full of worry. Mitch nodded, the urge of drugs slowly coming over him. "If you think having a therapist is what's best for you, just tell us the truth. We won't be mad."
TELL THEM THE TRUTH!
"I'm fine, promise. I'm okay. I'll make sure I'll eat something."
Yeah, those munchies will help you.
"Okay, Mitch. I trust you," Kevin told his son hesitantly, standing up to hug his son. "I hope you're telling me the truth."
"I am."
You're not. You're being a horrible son right now.
"I love you, son."
"I love you too, Dad."
Are you lying about that too?
Mitch hugged his fathers and went upstairs, crying when he reached the top. The T.V turned on downstairs, blocking out his tears. He couldn't believe that his life was going downhill now.
All because of drugs.
You're feeling guilty now?! How about back in September when you began?! You didn't feel bad back then?! I'm disappointed in you.
"I am too. I ha-hate myself."
Mitch hated who he is now.
Maybe he should get some help.
So he could love himself again.
~~~
"Yo, Mitch. Here's your drugs."
Scott threw some cocaine over to Mitch, jumping when the small baggy hit him. Kirstie dropped her jaw, scoffing as Mitch crossed his arms angrily. Mitch stomped over, tears in his eyes as stood over Scott.
"I hate you!"
"Geez, everyone does. Doesn't affect me," Scott laughed, getting Kirstie to join him when his cheek began to burn, Mitch's hand throbbing. Scott growled a bit, glaring at the younger boy. "You did not just hit me."
"Maybe I did."
"You're a little punk," Scott hissed, getting a needle of heroin from his dresser. He pushed Mitch against the wall, smirking evilly. "Maybe if I could force you to date me, I could do the same thing with drugs."
Mitch spat in Scott's face, making the blood scream in disgust. Mitch ran off, only to be jumped on. Kirstie managed to straddle Mitch, punching him across the face. Mitch fought back, somehow gaining the strength to make themselves flip over. Kirstie groaned in pain, glaring at Mitch angrily as he left her on the ground. Scott looked over at Mitch, walking over slowly. Mitch was intimidated, but he refused to fall victim to Scott's scary side.
He refused to fall victim to Scott and Kirstie.
"Do whatever you want with me," Mitch threatened, his brown eyes full of anger. Scott smirked, sharing a look with Kirstie before looking back at Mitch. "But I refuse to fill your needs. You sicken me."
"But you like dating me! You know that!"
Something in Mitch snapped. He pushed Scott back roughly, not causing much of an affect because of Scott's bulkiness. Scott laughed obnoxiously, knowing that Mitch was overreacting.
"I hate dating you! You forced me into a relationship!"
"Oh, come on," Scott replied, rolling his eyes. "I'm dating you! I will also continue dating you even when we date different people."
"You're sick," Mitch hissed back, glaring at Scott. "You're a cheater, Scott! I would never cheat on anyone! If you do, you're a horrible person!"
(A/N: *cough*Christmasbb)
"So? I dont care.
"YOU SHOULD CARE!"
Mitch shook his head, getting ready to leave when Kirstie stopped him. He turned around, her hazel eyes full of disappointment. She was frowning, shaking her head as she looked over Mitch.
"You do know what will happen if you stop doing drugs, right? We'll humiliate you."
Mitch wished he could have done this earlier.
Back in September, he was kind. Sweet. Shy. Nowhere near troublesome.
Now he lies.
He lied to his parents.
To teachers.
To his friends.
To himself.
He hates the person he's become.
He wants to be his old self.
He wants to tell the truth to his parents.
Maybe being humiliated wasn't bad.
Maybe...it was the start of being to his old self again.
The Mitch he loved.
"I don't care anymore," Mitch hissed, taking his arm out of Kirstie's grip. He walked off, shaking his head as he walked to the front door. "You two ruined me. You hurt me. You made me lie to my parents."
"No...you made yourself lie to your parents. This is all on you."
Mitch shook his head, swallowing the lump on his throat. Scott was right though. He did make himself hate his new personality so he can't really blame Scott and Kirstie.
But...does it make him a bad person if he did blame them?
He hates feeling like a bad person.
You did the right thing, Mitch.
He really hoped he did.
~~~
Mitch wanted to change.
Right now.
He stopped taking drugs over a week ago, but he was anxious.
He missed the rush they gave him.
He missed the way he used to be.
So much.
"Maybe I do need a therapist," Mitch whispered to himself, shaking his head. He sighed heavily, laying back in his bed. "I do need help."
"Mitchell, come downstairs right now!"
Mitch froze, widening his eyes as he sat up. Whatever happened that made Avi say Mitchell made him think that something bad was going to happen.
Very bad.
"Coming, Pops," Mitch called back nervously, adjusting his shirt. He gulped nervously, shaking a bit. "I'll be right there."
Mitch walked out of his room, hearing a voice that was as deep as his father's. He heard Kevin's voice reply, confused by the excitement in his words.
Why would he be excited in Mitch's troublesome attitude?
Mitch walked over, seeing a man in a fancy suit laughing happily. Avi looked over at Mitch, smiling happily as he patted the seat next to him.
"Mitch, this is Adrian Kones. Adrian, Mitch."
"Aw, Mitch. You got that 'look'," Adrian announced happily, the boy's shyness making him smirk. "Do you know who I am?"
"No," Mitch replied shyly, looking at his parents. He cleared his throat, shaking his head as he felt his hands twitching. "Who are you?"
Adrian took a card out his wallet, offering it to Mitch. Mitch took it, widening his eyes at the words on the card.
Adrian James Kones
Songwriter/Agent
555-8902
"Y-you a-a-are-" Mitch couldn't get any words out, making his parents and Adrian laugh. "Fa-fa-famous."
"That's right! I want to make you famous," the song writer confirmed happily, his bright white teeth practically blinding Mitch. "The only thing I do not approve of an artist doing are drugs."
Mitch's heart skipped a beat.
He can't be famous.
"Oh, Mitch is a great kid," Kevin spoke up, smiling at his son. Mitch couldn't do anything, his eyes full of unwanted tears. "He doesn't do drugs. Not that people that so drugs are bad; he's just one to never do that."
Yeah...about that...
"Well, just to make sure, we will do a drug test before his first recording session. We want to be sure."
NO!
"Just a question," Avi brought up, smiling sweetly at his son. "If Mitch were doing drugs and it shows on the test that he does do them, will he be able to record if he gets helps."
"Well, normally I will say no to that since Kones Music Industry has a zero drug tolerance rule, but I'll make an exception for Mitch since I believe he has a future ahead of him. What do you say, Mitch?"
Mitch looked at the card before looking at Adrian, sighing to himself before nodding his head.
"I'll think about it. I'll get back to you right away."
"Okay, sounds swell. Thank you, Mitchell. Now, I have some things to talk to your parents about privately. See you later."
Mitch nodded, walking upstairs while trying his best to control his emotions. This is what he deserves. If he didn't do drugs, he would have never got himself into this mess.
Maybe he doesn't deserve this opportunity.
Maybe this was the way of telling he should have known better; drugs are dangerous and not a force to be reckoned with.
I'm sorry Mitch, but you do have to realize that breaking rules end in consequence.
"I know. I hate it."
Mitch needed his drugs back.
He doesn't care anymore.
A/N: 🐳 then. This is an interesting chapter.xD This is honestly one of my favorites.^_^ I hope you guys feel the same. I honestly feel bad for Mitch.:( Anyways, I hope that you all enjoyed this chapter and remember that I love you all.:)
