I'm sorry for being greedy.

I really am.

But please...comment.

I really adore this story and the comments I receive motivate me to write more.

Comments make me happy.

I know I sound greedy and I apologize for that.

Comment please?

WARNING: drug usage

When Mitch was ten years old, he was supposed to do his chores one day; however, just like any other ten year old, he snuck out and went to the park. He did it because his parents weren't watching and he really didn't want to do chores.

So he lied and told his parents he indeed did his chores. He told a perfect lie...

Until Avi asked him 'are you sure?'.

With that being said, Mitch broke down in tears and told the truth. Kevin and Avi watched him as he cried, his wobbly voice explaining that he went to the park instead. He told them that he would accept any punishment they gave him.

What did they do?

Nothing, absolutely nothing.

They told him that they were disappointed in him lying, but here's why he didn't get a punishment: he told the truth. They would never punish Mitch for telling the truth. The only time they would ever punish him is when he does something that is against the rules or something that puts his life in danger. Of course, drugs were strictly forbidden for Mitch to do.

Yet here he is, tapping his fingers anxiously against his desk. He was waiting for class to be over, wanting to snort cocaine and inject heroine. Two of the drugs changed his personality drastically when he was under the influence and he loved it.

But his parents didn't.

Of course, they didn't know he was addicted to drugs. There were times when Mitch did come home under the influence, but he was good at hiding it. Ten years of theatre will help you with those kind of situations. Mitch is a good liar because of acting.

He just didn't realize it until now.

Why haven't I done this before?! It's fun!

"Mitchell, would you like to answer the next question or would you like to stare out the window?"

Mitch jumped a bit, blushing as people around him giggled. The shy student cleared his throat, looking at the board before answering.

"George kills Lennie."

(If you read Of Mice and Men in Freshman English, you'll know what I'm talking about. Future Freshman...you'll find out what I mean.)

"Although that is right, you weren't paying attention and that worries me. Please stay after class."

Mitch nodded, never being talked to after class before. He never had to talk to a teacher after class unless it was important!

"Yes, ma'am."

The bell rang after he said that, gathering his stuff as the urges came through his body. He was about to leave when...

"Mitchell, a word?"

Oh.

"Yes, Miss. Kennedy?"

"You haven't been paying attention in class recently," the teacher commented, shaking her head in disappointment. Mitch looked down at his feet, just wanting to leave. "I have had students in my class that had this behavior and their behavior was caused by drugs. Are you doing drugs, Mitch?"

Say yes, say yes!

"No."

You're so stupid!

"Oh, okay. What's the matter then?"

Tell the truth!

Mitch began to fake cry, a concerned look on Miss. Kennedy's face. She handed him a tissue, waiting for him to continue. Hopefully she'll believe this lie. It worked with his other teachers.

"I-it's just that my homework has b-been stressing me out so mu-much and I haven't had enough me-mental breaks a-and-"

Mitch sobbed, hiding his face just to smile. Miss. Kennedy nodded, writing down a quick note before looking up at Mitch.

"You do not need to have any homework until you feel better. You will have to pass the test in November to pass the first semester though. I don't want to fail you. How do your teachers feel about this?"

Horrible once they find out the truth.

"They're perfectly fine. They just said I need to pass tests in November so I could pass."

"That sounds good. I hope you're okay, Mitch. I call your pare-"

"NO!"

Miss. Kennedy jumped, wondering why Mitch yelled. He blushed, clearing his throat before talking again.

"They're stressed from their jobs. You don't want to put more on their plate. I'll handle it."

Mitch left immediately, smirking as he strutted down the halls. Lying was so bad yet so good.

And he loved it.

So much.

~~~
Mitch had no money.
Great.
How was he supposed to-
Wait.
His parents made money!
Mitch, I am very disappointed in you right now.
Mitch shrugged his shoulders, wishing his conscience will just shut up. He knows what he is doing. He's great at lying and sneaking in and out of places. He always won hide-and-seek as a kid. No matter what, he was never found by anyone.
No matter what.
"Mitch, what are you doing? Are you supposed to be doing homework?"
Mitch froze, turning around to see Kevin with his arms crossed. The high school junior gulped, knowing that he was caught in a lie. Kevin always knew when he was lying and there was no way could get out of this now.
Well, he is a theatre kid. He could pull a lie out of his sleeve and make everyone believe him.
"I...had a panic attack during school today because of my studies. It was too much," Mitch lied, wanting to go out with Scott and Kirstie. Kevin raised an eyebrow, tapping his fingers against his elbow. "I told them that I couldn't do homework for a while and that I need a mental break. It's important for my health, Father."
You are literally destroying your body with drugs right now! Before you know it, your brain will turn to mush and you'll look like you're fifty five! Your mentality is important, but your physical health needs more attention.
If Mitch's conscience was real, he wouldn't hesitate to punch ze.
Kevin frowned a bit, putting an arm around Mitch's skinny shoulders as he sighed deeply. Mitch nodded, wondering what he had to say.
"Kiddo, you have to be honest about these kind of things with your dad and I. We won't be mad, okay? Now, I need to go out for a few errands. Pops will be home in an hour or so. Stay safe, okay?"
"Okay."
Yeah because last time I checked, doing drugs are safe. Point one for stupidity.
"Bye, Mitch."
"Bye, Dad."
Mitch heard the door close, running into his room only to get a message from Kirstie. He opened it only to be disappointed.
Kristy💁🏼👸🏼: Scott and I can't come over. I have to watch my stupid sisters and Scott is grounded. Anyway, I left a little surprise for you in your backpack. Give it a look.;)
P.S: Don't tell Scott I gave it to you. He'll flip.
Mitch reached into his backpack, widening his eyes when he saw a little plastic bag full of tiny blunts. Marijuana fell out of some of them, only making Mitch want it right away. He took out his lighter Scott gave him, taking the first one out right away.
You are so stupid, Mitch. You're hurting yourself.
Old Mitch would have said no.
He would have been ridiculed for being gay.
He already got bullied for having gay parents.
Scott was bisexual, but he didn't get bullied.
Imagine how it would be like if people found out if he was gay.
Old Mitch would have preferred being bullied.
Being mocked.
Beat up.
Raped even.
Just so he wouldn't go down the path of drugs.
But here he is now, smoking his first blunt.
"This...is...amazing," Mitch mumbled, giggling as his surroundings became colorful. "Ha, my room is gay, just like me!"
Mitch laughed loudly, not hearing the door open. He was quick to get outbid his high though, widening his eyes when he realized that his room smelt like weed.
He smelt like weed.
Stupid.
"MITCHELL COBY MICHAEL OLUSOLA, WHY DOES IT SMELL LIKE WEED?!"
Tell the truth!
"Scott and Kirstie came over and smoked it. I told them to leave though! Promise!"
Silence.
Then...
"Tell them not to do that ever again then."
"Okay. I will."
Mitch hid the blunts, establishing one fact.
He is the best liar to ever exist.
A/N: Well...how do you guys like Mitch right now?xD He's not likable in these chapters, but there will be heartbreaking flashback chapters just for you guys.;) Anyways, I hope that you all enjoyed this chapter and remember that I love you all.:)
