Well...

This chapter is sad.

I was thinking about it all night and I decided to go along with it.

Don't get mad at me.

Happier chapters are bound to come.

On with the story.

Mitch walked back and forth in the hospital, just wanting someone to hold him. Mario dropped Mitch off at the hospital and he has been here for more than six hours, hoping that everything was okay with his dad. Kevin updated Mitch once, but that was about it.

Something was wrong with Avi.

Very wrong.

Mitch sat down, breathing heavily as he thought about Avi. He would be devastated if the worse thing possible was bound to happen.

And he hated it.

A memory of him and Avi came back, making him tear up as it came to mind.

"Pops, how much do you love me?"

Avi looked at Mitch, the teenager standing there timidly, the insecurity from Avi's son hurting his heart. Avi stopped what he was doing, nodding at Mitch while he crossed his arms.

"More than you'll ever know, Mitchy. What's wrong?"

Mitch took a deep breath, tears streaming down his cheeks as Avi waited for him to say what was on his mind patiently. Avi felt his heart break, wanting nothing more than to wipe those tears away.

"What's the matter, kiddo?"

"I-I," Mitch stuttered out, a sob interrupting him as he wiped his eyes. "I'm just scared you won't accept me."

Avi laughed a bit, walking over to his son to hug him gently. Avi kissed Mitch's temple, wiping away his eyes while he felt his heart broke some more.

No parent likes seeing their child cry.

"I'll accept you always, Mitch. I know you're gay thiugh, hon. You told me that your freshman year."

"It's not that though," Mitch whimpered, wiping his eyes once more as he took deep breaths. "I just don't want you to get mad."

"About what, baby boy?"

Mitch sobbed once more, taking a deep breath before he revealed what was on his mind.

"Pops, I'm...androgynous. Please don't get mad at me."

Avi frowned, wondering why Mitch would ever think that his dad would get mad at him for having both masculine and feminine features and characteristics. In fact, it only made Avi love Mitch more.

"Oh, hon. I would never hate you for that. I'm proud of you, I really am. Now, how about we get you some dresses and skirts that will make you happy?"

Mitch smiled through his tears, hugging Avi tightly as he nodded.

"Dresses and skirts sound wonderful, Pops. Thank you for accepting me."

"Every time, my baby boy. Every time."

Mitch still has those dresses and skirts from that day, Avi critiquing each one. That day was full of giggles and inside jokes and an already strong relationship that became stronger.

Mitch would be heartbroken if something bad happened to Avi. He didn't deserve it.

"Mitch?"

No.

"It came back."

No.

"And he doesn't want treatment."

No.

~~~
Alex walked over to Scott, kissing his temple gently and was quite surprised when Scott pushed him back. Alex was about to ask what was wrong when Scott spoke up.
"I think we should break up."
Alex widened his eyes, Scott walking back and forth anxiously as Alex tried to figure out why Scott wanted this.
Why did Alex do?
"If it's me, I'm sor-"
"It's not you at all," Scott interrupted, shaking his head as he thought his next words. He will most likely be hurt because of this, or much worse. "It's me and it's not one of those 'it's not you, it's me' cute breakups or whatever. It's worse. Alex, you can't trust me."
"Why?" Alex asked softy, standing up to put his hands on Scott's cheeks. Scott shook his head, standing back so he wouldn't be anywhere near Alex. He didn't want to hurt him. "What did you do?"
Scott took a deep breath, thinking about how he would be hurt by the person who told him not to tell anyone what he did. He-
No.
He will tell Alex what happened, even if he gets hurt because he would do anything for Mitch and for Mitch's justice.
"Mitch...he didn't stab himself," Scott began, his voice shaking as he sat down. Alex sat down next to Scott, confusion clouding in his eyes. "He was stabbed...by someone else."
"Who?" Alex asked softly, wondering why Scott was crying. "Scott, who did it? Please tell me."
Scott wiped his eyes, wondering why he was crying so hard. He didn't deserve to cry in this kind of situation. He did this to Mitch.
"Please don't tell her," Scott begged, his voice shaking as he begged quietly. Alex nodded, his anxiety raising as Scott sobbed again. "It was- it was..."
"Who, Scott? Please tell me?"
Scott nodded, taking a deep breath befure he talked.
It'll be easier, Scott. Just say it. Mitch deserves it.
Here goes.
"It was me and Kirstie."
Silence.
Then...
"You and Kirstie stabbed Mitch?" Alex asked, his voice quiet and scared. Scott nodded, swallowing the sob that was about to escape. "Why did you do that?"
"Kirstie almost made Mitch do drugs again and when he said no, we took him to the woods so we could play hide-and-seek and he was the first one to count and when he was counting, we stabbed him. I was one to do so," Scott whispered, sobbing as he thought of the memories. "After that, I forgot all about it. The next thing I remembered was telling Mitch's parents that he was stabbed. I stabbed my best friend, Alex. I am a horrible person, Alex. I hurt him more than once and I hate myself everyday because of it. I hurt Mitch."
Alex couldn't believe this.
Scott hurt Mitch?
"Scott, I'm sorry, but you need to be arrested."
"I know. Kirstie..."
"Kirstie what?"
Silence.
Then...
"She's going to kill me for saying that. I deserve it."
~~~

(Attempted murder, homophobia, minor injury ; Scott and Kirstie are sophomores and Mitch and Mario are freshman)

Scott sighed as Mitch walked by him, his heart beating fast at the beautiful boy he wanted to call his boyfriend. Kirstie looked over at Mitch, scoffing as turned back to Scott.

"Scott, he's a dork. Why do you like him?"

"Because I love him," Scott admitted, his cheeks glowing red as Mitch laughed at whatever Mario said. "He's seriously the most good looking person I know."

"Are you a...I can't even say it," Kirstie hissed, shaking her head as she glared at Scott. "You're disgusting, Scott. Unnatural. You should be ashamed of yourself."

"I'm sorry for liking boys," Scott murmured sadly, looking back at Mitch. He looked at Kirstie, shaking his head slowly. "Kirstie, I can't do it. I don't want to kill Mitch."

Kirstie slapped Scott upon his head, causing him to whimper when she glared at him.

"Why don't you say that in front of the school?! Don't you dare back out or I'll kill your family, Scott. We made a deal. Do it or you'll end up like Mitch and have gay fathers, which no one wants. Your choice. Dead Mitch or dead family."

Scott sighed, dreading the moment coming ahead. Kirstie smirked and turned back to her work, waiting impatiently for the moment to come. Scott wished the day would go slower, but the moment finally came. Scott watched as Mitch crossed the street, his heart dropping when Kirstie went into the car.

The car that was going to kill Mitch.

Mitch looked both ways, humming to himself as Kirstie started the car. Avi was outside by the car and smiled when Mitch crossed the street, his eyes widening when he saw a Jeep speeding down the street...

In Mitch's direction.

"Mitch!"

Mitch looked at Avi, raising his eyebrow to look to his right. He stopped in the middle street, not knowing how to react. He was going to die.

"Move!"

Mitch closed his eyes and prepared for the impact when a bigger body pushed him out of the way, practically sliding to his family's car. His skin was scraped and blood was running down his arm, but that didn't stop to wonder who pushed him out of the way. Avi walked over, his eyes full of grateful tears as he looked at Mitch.

"You're okay, baby boy. You're safe. Scott pushed you out of the way."

"Sc-Scott saved me?" Mitch got out, looking over to see Scott limping towards him. "Scott? Why did did you do that?"

"I didn't want you to get hurt," Scott whispered, brushing Mitch's hair back. "I would never hurt you, Mitch. I will never dream of it. You don't deserve it."

Mitch smiled, hugging Scott tightly before the younger boy kissed the older on the cheek. Scott blushed, waving back when Mitch waved goodbye to him. Kirstie stomped over, shoving Scott roughly.

"Idiot!"

He didn't care.

He loved Mitch too much."

A/N: Well...Scott told the truth. Kirstie is not going to be happy, lol. Anyways, I hope that you all enjoyed this chapter and remember that I love you all.:)
