Stranger Things.🙈

Anyway...

Looks like we will have a lot of chapters now.;)

And this chapter will be very fun.

Also...Alex won't come back for a while.

I know...it's a Milex book, but both characters need a chapter for themselves sooo...

Here is Mitch's!

And someone else will be a main character in this chapter.;)

ON WITH THE STORY!!!

Listen to the song while reading...you'll hate me.

Forever.

Mitch was happy when he got to go home, even though Mario had to go back to school. Mario ditched lunch for Mitch and Mitch was happy, but he just wanted to be with his friend.

Especially since Kevin came back in the picture.

Mitch looked out of the window the entire time, refusing to look at the man he called he father. Kevin was humming quietly while Avi drove, the once heartbreaking and solemn silence now an awkward silence that was caused by family chains that were strong at one time but now are rusted over and easy to break.

And that happened all because Kevin wanted out.

"So, uh, Mitch-"

"Not now, Kevin. You're the last person he wants to talk to."

"That's harsh."

"So leaving your family while your son is mentally ill means nothing to you but hearing the truth is hurtful to you? You deserve it."

"Oh, okay."

"Okay? Okay?! I swear, you only care about yourself now."

Mitch looked at his lap, knowing one thing and one thing only.

Avi was wrong.

Kevin wasn't the last person he wanted to talk to.

Not even close.

It was Alex, the man he was actually opening himself up to.

Mitch forgot the last time he actually put his trust into a man that he wanted romantic ties with.

Well, there was Scott, but that is a story for a different time and different place.

As Avi pulled up, Mitch immediately unbuckled his seatbelt and jumped out of the car, not caring if he felt lightheaded afterwards. Avi called out for him,  but he ignored. Mitch used his keys to unlock the front door and stomped upstairs, going on his phone to play his favorite musical when that song came on.

The song that broke his heart.

Eliza's vulnerability never once showed her anger towards Alexander even though she had every right to yell at him and end their marriage on the spot for humiliating their family name and what they stood for.

Yet she still loved even though he broke her.

Alex was Alexander in this case, making Mitch chuckle. Things really do come in full circle, don't they? Mitch compared himself to Eliza, the beautiful girl who went through so much and tried to get better only to get her success ripped away from her every time and nobody realized how much that tore her down.

Nobody knows how much Mitch is being torn.

As it went on to the part about the infedilty  Alexander had with Maria, Mitch couldn't help but think of Scott as the woman that ruin Alexander's life. Although Scott and Alex were dating, Alex went to Maria and did the unthinkable with her, leaving poor Eliza alone to wonder what her beloved husband did while he was working to 'get his work in progress'.

Then Angelica?

Even though he had no attraction towards Alex, Mario had to be the Angelica in this situation. After finding out what Alex had done, Mario had said:

"There's nothing wrong with flying towards the sun; however, if you go too close, you will burn and face the consequences that came afterwards."

Mitch didn't even know that he was crying until he looked in his new mirror, the tear tracks making his pale cheeks even paler. The broken boy was about to lay down when a letter fell out of his pocket, making him pick it up and open it. He stared at it silently, the music progressing as he read it.

My dearest, Mitchy,

I don't know how to describe these feelings. What have you done to me? No one has made me feel this way before. I will do anything to make you get better. You deserve it, Mitchy. You really do.

Love, Alex

Mitch shook his head, picking up the lighter he had for the blunts he used to smoke as Eliza reached the last couple lines in the song. He held the letter high in the air and lit on fire, the powerful colors of red, orange, and yellow consumed the piece of paper that held lies in it. The delicate paper that meant no wrong brunt to a crisp and Mitch dropped in hopes of not getting burnt, stomping on it to reduce the chances of a fire while he looked up at the mirror, whimpering along with the last words of the song.

"I hope that you burn."

~~~
Scott wrote in his journal, biting the eraser before he knew what to write, writing down his thoughts before he lost them again.
11/25/2016
My mind hasn't had any episodes lately. Although I was confused moments after Mitch left. Why was he here? Is he scared of me? If I were him, I would be scared of me too. I can't believe I-
"Scott, did you take your pills?"
Drat...I forgot what to write.
"No, let me go take them right now."
"Okay, hon."
Scott stood up, running his hand through his blond hair as he thought about this past year.
Why was Mitch so scared of him?
Why did Kirstie hurt him so much over everything?
Why were his parents worried about his actions?
Why is he going to these meetings that screw around with him and hurt his mind?
And most importantly...
Why was Alex supicious of him?
What did he do?
You stabbed Mitch and gave him all these mental illness, idiot. You had an episode when it happened so you don't remember the actual event. Your mind was taking over you.
Scott whimpered as the voice whispered to him, gripping at his hair as he tried his best to recollect what happened that night at the sleepover him and Kirstie had for Mitch.
All he remembered what Kirstie giving him his pills before Mitch came and all was a blur until he went to the hospital after he told his parents that Mitch was stabbed in the woods.
He only remembers what Kirstie told him so he goes by that story.
They were playing hide and seek and Mitch was stabbed moments after.
Although he did remember a little bit about putting on a pair of gloves that were too tiny for him and someone telling him to bury something.
The gloves reminded him of someone who wasn't very tiny but looked like a midget compared to him when they stood next to each other.
Other than that, he couldn't remember.
He never remembers. The episodes always messed him up and he couldn't get anything done.
"Unka Scott!"
Scott looked down to find his nephew Landon staring at him, smiling softly as he picked up the small child.
"Hey there, kiddo. Is Mommy here?"
"No, only me!"
"Awesome," Scott exclaimed, the voice coming back faster than he wanted it to. He set down Landon, smiling painfully as he walked over to the bathroom. "Lando, I have to do something real quick. I'll be right back."
"Otay, Unka Scott!"
Scott smiled, walking into the bathroom only to jump and stare wide-eyed at the object on the counter, looking around to make sure that no one was in there to hurt him or his family. He walked over the object, his heart beating erratically at the sight.
It was a knife with some dirt and dry blood, a note placed delicately on it. Scott read the letter as he opened the medicine cabinet, shaking his head as he gathered the information.
Does this look familiar? If it does, just know that Mitch is thinking of lying again. He'll hurt you and say that you did this to yourself. Make sure that you do not let this happen. Tell your dad. It's important, Scott. Protect yourself
I'm warning you.
-Dani Miranda Lakoot-Kstylor
P.S: Wash it. Now. People will get less suspicious.
Scott shuddered at the name, knowing it all too well. This Dani person has been stalking him since he was a freshman in high school and that only made his schizophrenia worse yet he would never bring it up to anyone, especially his father because of his reputation of mayor and the lead chief of police. Scott picked up the knife and washed it, grimacing at the dirt and the blood that once dirtied the knife and stuffed it in his pocket carefully. After that, he took the piece of paper and ripped it up only to throw it into the toilet and flush it down, hoping that this Dani person would stop stalking him.
Did he deserve that?
No one deserves to be stalked.
Right?
As Scott opened the medicine cabinet, his heart dropped and he began to breathe heavily. He shook his head, tearing up as he made a discovery.
His medicine is missing.
And without it, he will do the most violent things to anyone he's angry at.
~~~

(Panic attack warning)

Mitch woke up screaming that night, sobbing as Avi ran into the room quickly. Avi turned on the lights, walking over to his son carefully with tears traveling down his own cheeks.

"Mitchy, it's Pops. What happened?"

Mitch was breathing heavily, his hand over his chest as he tried to recollect himself and his surroundings. When he couldn't, he screamed again and started to scream and kick in his bed and Avi watched with blurry vision as he walked up to his son, wondering what he could do to make his son happy again.

Even if it's for a few seconds.

"Close your eyes, lay your head down," Avi sang quietly, holding Mitch close to him. Mitch whimpered and screamed again, trying his best to get out of his father's grasp. "Now it's time to sleep. May you find great adventure as you lie and dream."

Avi wrote this song for Mitch many years ago, the first time Mitch had a nightmare. Avi held his son tight as sobs shook the little body, Avi humming the entire time in hopes to calm down his poor son. It eventually worked and Avi didn't want the sing to go to waste so he kept the tune in mind and wrote down the entire song in a week, singing the song to Mitch every night until Mitch entered high school. Scott and Kirstie made fun of the father-son duo for doing something so childish so Mitch asked if Avi could only do it once a night, but that lead to never singing the song ever again.

Until now.

"So count your blessings everyday. It makes the masters go away and everything will be okay. You are not alone, you are right at home. Goodnight."

Mitch began to close his eyes, clutching onto Avi's shirt like the little three year old he was when he first heard the nostalgic song. Avi sang some more, coming up to the one line that could apply to Mitch's situation right now.

"For we all have our nightmares, even me, my dear."

Avi smiled as he heard a yawn, getting ready to put Mitch down when the delicate hands only gripped onto Avi's shirt tighter. Avi smirked and laid down in the big bed, putting an arm around Mitch's injured body. He kissed Mitch's forehead, closing his eyes before murmuring one more line.

"You are not alone, you are right at home. Goodnight, baby boy."

And Avi let sleep consume his Boyd, swearing he heard the words:

"Good night, Poppy."

The next day

Avi woke up to have Kevin glaring at him, his arms crossed as he stared at the scene in front of him. Avi sat up, crossing his arms in response to his husband's childish behavior. This went on until Kevin scoffed, shaking his head as he looked at Mitch.

"We're sending him back to rehab."

"No we're not," Avi hissed, laying down again in hopes to protect his son. "We are not going to do that ever again. He was lonely, Kevin. Being lonely in this type of situation is wrong and abusive."

"Then how is he going to get better?!"

"By our support, Kevin! What else do you think would work? Find a genie so you won't have to live with the fact that your family is suffering right now?!"

Kevin shut up.

"Listen here, bucko. Twenty years ago, we promised each other in front of our families that we will love each other through sickness and health. That does not only apply to us. That applies to our beautiful son who is going through yet another dark moment in his life. We will love him through his sickness in hopes that we will love him through his health and you saying that he needs to go through rehab again will not in anyway help him. It worked the first time, but this time won't work because he is broken to the point were he thinks everyone will hurt him the same way he was hurt over two weeks ago. You are selfish, Kevin. Utterly selfish."

"Fine, I'm selfish. He still needs help though."

"Everything just goes over your head, uh? You sicken me. Mitchy, wake up, son."

It took sometime, but Mitch woke up to Avi smiling down at him. Mitch sat up and was about to ask what was up when he saw Kevin, freezing immediately. Avi glared at Kevin before smiling at Mitch, brushing the crazy bangs back.

"You want to go to breakfast while Dad is at work?"

"That sounds fun. Why not?"

Kevin watched as Avi helped Mitch out of bed, feeling his heart break as he walked away from the scene.

Is this God's way of punishing him for kissing a woman?

If it is, he learned his lesson.

But he's wrong.

Kevin's brain knows that what he did is wrong yet his heart begs for more, even if it hurts his family.

But he didn't seem to care.

A/N: Did Scott's part confuse you? If it did, I'll explain it more later. It'll spoil the ending too much. Mitch as Eliza and Alex as Alexander  is my dream and I would do anything for him to sing Helpless and Burn. I'll kick small children if I have to. Kevin is slowly becoming more of a jerk sooo...choose your battles, I guess. Anyways, remember that I love you all.:)
