---Dick's P.O.V---

I wake up from another nightmare, one of the worse yet. My heartbeat is rapid, probably close to exploding or even a heart attack. I hiccup, as tears stream down my face. I'm trying to desperately keep them in, but they just don't stop. Like its the first time i'm ever gonna get my feelings out in my entire life. I hiccup again, just as Damian bursts through the door. I look at him in shock, and hiccup. Did he know I was crying...? I immediately go to remove the tears from my face. I can't let them see me like this, not now. I can't be seen as weak. Sure i'm weak physically, but If I look weak mentally too, they'll never let me live it down. They'll think I've been broken. They... They won't want me anymore... I'll be useless...
Tim walks up to me and hugs me, dropping onto my bed. Damian sits at the the end of the bed, and Jason sits on the chair at the side of my bed. I hiccup again, interrupting the silence.

"Wha... What are you doing?" I ask weakly, more tears threatening to spill out against my command.

"Dick. Just know something. We're here for you if you ever need anything." Tim states. I freeze.

"I know that." I mutter. "And sometimes your even there when I don't want you to be. Which is a lot."

"That's because its our job. Its our job as your big brothers, to protect you when you need us whether you want it or not. And you barely even want us to protect you, which is probably why we do it anyways." Jason says. Tears spill from my eyes, before stopping, and anger rises up in me slightly.

They always protect me when I don't need protecting.

But why are they never there, when I really need them?

Whenever I need them most... Their far away...

I push my angry thoughts down. Its not their fault. They always try to protect me, whenever they know i'll be in danger, but whenever i'm not supposed to be in danger, and they don't have a reason to protect me, they don't. That's when I always seem to be in danger the most. How are they suppose to know.

We sit there in silence for a while, probably only 10 minutes, and by then my tears have dried out, and my eyes are back to normal, when Bruce comes in, followed by the Justice League. I can't help but raise my eyebrow. Bruce just gives me a slight smile and stand at the end of my bed. Tim moved off my bed a little while ago to go sit at my desk. The Justice League trails in, in normal clothes, and positioning themselves around my room, with stern, but concerned faces. I sigh. Here we go.

A thought strikes me, before I can even stop it. Sometimes its crazy to fight for what you believe in, isn't it?

I think i'm losing my mind.
What the hell is going on inside my head?
"Dick." Bc says calmly.
"How you doin'?" I ask. She looks taken back for a minute.
"M-Me? What about you?" She asks, her voice showing her surprise and concern.
"Meh. Been better." I shrug. I immediately regret it because of the pain in my arm, and back but I don't show it.
"Um. Alright then?"
"What happened?" Superman (Clark) asks, getting straight to he point.
"I was on a mission. " I state plainly. I'm not giving away any information. I can't. I just can't. I don't know why... Maybe... I think... It's because the Justice League is always hiding secrets from the Young Justice, and for once I know something they don't. I want to keep it that way, I guess. I want to show them how we feel.
"Yeah, I know that. I mean what happened?" Clark sighs.
"We completed the mission. Other then that... I dunno. Ask the team. I was... Occupied while they did the mission." I State.
"What happened while you were occupied?" Green Arrow tries. (Oliver)
"Oh, it was a disaster. Heavy on the dis." I say. I can hear Jason groan.
"Yeah! We get it! It was a disaster, heavy on the dis! Now, what happened? Who attacked you?" Jason shouts.
"Nobody knows." I laugh, making it seem like it was a real mystery.
Bruce looks ready to tear his hair out.
"Dick..." He growls.
"Bruce..." I mock.
"Who attacked you?" He asked, his voice strained from trying to keep calm.
"That, right there. Is a mystery." I laugh. I'm pretty sure his face is growing red. I think Flash (Barry) noticed a pattern somehow because he stepped forward.
"Yo. Tell me something do you know his name? Have you ever seen him before?" He asks. I know fully well, I can't dodge that one easily. Well, I can. But it just doesn't seem right.
I shall reward him with the truth. This is so aster for him.
"No, and no. Never met him before, or seen his ugly mask before. And because of that, I don't know his name. And no. He did not say his name. But that should be about all your getting from me." I say. Jason groans and sits down again, and Bruce glares at the ground slightly. The League slumps slightly, and a couple of them groan.
This actually satisfied me. I smirk, knowing im winning. How does it feel to be left in the dark?
"What did his ugly mask look like?" Damian tries.
"Dunno. It was covered in snow. I mean I did fight in a blizzard after all. Definitely a downer and possible disadvantage on my side, but it did become an advantage, because of my acrobatics." I ramble, loving their somewhat annoyed faces.
"Dammit Dick! We can't help you if you don't let us in!" Bruce rages, slamming his hand against the wall slightly.
"Well, maybe I don't need or want help!" I snap. This surprises everyone in the room.
"I don't want your help... Not this time. I want to handle this myself. I'm not a little kid anymore." I mutter.
"Nows not the time for this." Brice growls.
"Your right. Let's talk about this in 3 years." I say calmly, before lying down again and pushing the cover over my head.
Hopefully they'll leave now. I can hear Bruce sigh.
"Dammit Dick..." Bruce sighed.
For a while it's silent, then I can hear some shuffling and I can only guess that they left. Least I'm so hoping. Asterous.

But why do I feel like the darkness in me is growing?
