Chapter Twenty Three: Truth or Dare: Part two
POV CHANGE
PHILIPS POV
Loud ringing ran through my ears and and sharp pain pierced through my food, leaving a hole in the bottom of my shoe. Wow, that hurts. A lot.
"Arg!" I let out a groan in pain, and Angie was about to get up.
"Wait!" Everyone looked over at Lily, "Angie you cant get up! The rules remember? Don't get up! You'll die!" Lily instead ran to the closet to get the wrapping I needed for my foot searing in pain.
Wrapping my foot hurt like hell, but I'm alive, and Chris is safe, so everything is fine. Now it's Heathers turn.
Heather looked around and grabbed her card, flipping it over at lightning speed, trying to finish her card fast as possible.
How long have you really been here?
Heather looked down, a few tears slipping from her eyes. Chris rubbed her back and she took a deep breath.
"I got here a bunch of weeks ago, I'm not sure why I've been here so long, but people have come and gone, maybe about ten or fifteen. Barrett was the last of them. They're all gone now. I'm the only one left." Heather chocked up, she couldn't continue, but she'd answered enough to keep her alive. Madeline is next. She's pretty shy, I'm a little worried about her.
She slowly reached for her card, eyes bulging, and flipped it over. Then she screamed and threw it across the room. Wow, way to be dramatic. Philip, not the time. Sorry.
Where is your mother, do you know?
Madeline closed her eyes and sobbed.
"Madeline you have to answer! You're dead if you don't!" Heather was shouting now, along with the rest of us.
"I'm sorry, I can't" Madeline whispered, and she too began to melt into a puddle just like Poppy. No no no! I looked over a Chris, she was ghostly white. Then everyone was screaming, and we weren't done the game yet. We had to relax, if we listened, we'd survive. There wasn't time to mourn right now, for this minute we had to finish the game.
Jeremy was next. He'd be fine. I hope. He grabbed it card quickly, he didn't want the attention on himself.
Why are you so scared of spiders? Tell the whole story.
Jeremy blushed a crimson and Ray patted his shoulder, encouraging him to go on.
"When I was five, my mom and I went to the z-zoo. One of the exhibits was of tarantulas, and I really wanted to touch one. I d-decided it wasn't fair that there was glass so I grabbed a pair of scissors out of my m-mom's purse. And I um well, I-I used I-it to s-smash t-the glass, a-apparently tarantulas b-bite. G-good thing w-was t-there w-wasn't any v-venom in t-this o-one, b-but it h-hurt a l-lot, and M-my mom w-was r-really m-mad w-when we g-got h-home. I s-still h-have some o-of the scars f-from the b-belt." Jeremy seemed to be done talking and was brought into a hug by Ray. Wow, so that's why he hates spiders so much, poor guy.
After Ray let go of Jeremy, it was his turn. He glanced at Jeremy, giving him a smile and grabbed his card.
What happened when you found out you were gay? Does it embarrass you?
"Wait, you're gay?" Both Jeremy and Lily asked together. Ray nodded in response and started his story.
"Well, when I was in sixth grade, I felt different. Like I didn't like the girls like I was supposed to, I liked the guys, and I think I had a crush on my best friend. I decided to talk to him about how I was feeling. He told me I was nasty, and stopped talking to me. Then, he started to spread bad rumors about my home life to the whole school. When I went home I was crying. My dad would always tell me "boys don't cry" I wasn't allowed out of my room the rest of the weekend, and when I came out to him, he didn't give me any of my meals either. The only other people I ever came out to were you guys."
I can't believe Ray never told me any of this. That's horrible. Nix. Nix's turn is next. He rolled his eyes and grabbed his card.
A/N: thanks again so so much guys! I love and appreciate all of you so so much. Keep voting commenting, and follow if you're enjoying!! I can't tell you how much it means to me.
