Chapter Thirty Seven: Two chapters today!

It'd been about four hours, and seeing as the game in the morning had caused us to all be out for a while, no one really had any clue of what time it was, and everyone had been exhausted from all of the previous events that day. We all decided to get some rest, not to mention everyone was feeling down from the lack of food as well. Chris was handling everything so well, if you didn't know her from before this, you'd think that she was acting normal. The thing about Chris was that she was always overly bubbly, and she was always singing and dancing, probably not even noticing that she did it. I'd never tell her that she was seeming down, though. I could tell that she was trying her best to put on a brave face for the rest of us. She was already asleep next to me, and I knew Nix was asleep because he was snoring. Lily had stopped sobbing, so I'm guessing she was asleep too, and Heather and Henry were asleep in the corner, Heather still being in the same spot as before. I sat up, knowing I wasn't going to be able to sleep with so much going on in my head. Angie was asleep on top of Jordan, who smiled at me, and mouthed "hang in there." I got up and walked over to Jeremy and Ray, who were whispering about something, and I was glad to not be the only one who was actually awake, and able to talk.

I sat down next to Jeremy, and Ray sent me a smile. We talked about random shit from home, and told stories about the good times of our childhood. Jeremy loved hearing the stories Ray and I had together, and Ray was totally into Jeremy. I'd known him for long enough that I could tell what he was thinking, and how he was feeling. I made sure to wink at him and wiggle my eyebrows whenever Jeremy wasn't looking. He responded with a red face, and snyde remarks about Chris. It'd been a while since we started talking, and Jeremy was now asleep on Ray's shoulder. I decided I could at least try to get some sleep. I crawled back over to my spot next to Chris, and did my best to fall asleep. It was back to the cold temperature in here, but not so cold we would get frostbite again. Chris rolled into my side and huddled into my arms, probably cold. I shut my eyes and tried to pretend I was back home in my bed. Getting some rest before school in the morning. I wonder if anyone is looking for us. We've been gone a while now, and maybe our school is talking about it too. I can't believe Poppy is never going to get to go back, and her poor parents. She's an only child too, I can't imagine what we're going to have to say if and when we get out. I miss my mom, and I'm so worried about TIna, she's only three and I know Mom has a lot of work, what's going on at home that I need to be there for? Is my dad back yet, and is Mom going to be able to handle it? Hopefully she found someone to watch Tina until I'm home. Maybe she got Chris's brother and dad to watch her, Darian has always been good with kids. Oh gosh, I'm praying that she's ok. I don't know what I would do if she wasn't. Darian has a girlfriend too, Josie? She always loved little kids right? As long as she's not alone with my father.

I should really get some more rest, I mean, tomorrow is going to be another dreadful day. Just as I was drifting off in and out of consciousness, I was startled back into reality as a scream echoed through the cold, dark room. We all bolted up from our positions on the floor, and I could almost hear my skin ripping at the fast movement. Heather was awake now, screaming like a madman, and yelling 'I'm sorry, it wasn't my fault, I didn't make her go!" over and over. Henry was holding onto her, trying to keep her from trying to get up, knowing that she was still hurting. No one really knew what was going on, we just knew that Heather was upset about something, and I knew that dream or not, this had something to do with Lily, and it might have something to do with why Lily wasn't hurt from the game either. Does Heather know what's going on upstairs, I mean she has been here  the longest. No, she couldn't, plus she seems really beat up about something, so she's got to be innocent. Right?
