I jolted awake, feeling Natalie still shaking my side. I couldn't comprehend, so I just grabbed Natalie and sobbed. I never cried. Never. I don't think she really understood but hugged me anyway. That's when I noticed we were still moving, in the car I had longed to get out of in another world. I think I was ok with the wait for now.

After a little while I decided to try to get some more rest. I wasn't going to get anywhere just thinking about my dream. Christina was going to be fine, and I knew she was strong, I just couldn't get my thoughts from those dreams out of my head. Her body just looked so real. So dead. I felt nauseous just thinking about it. Maybe I really should try to get some rest. Nothing hoof will come from thinking like this. Relax.

Natalie, who was still hugging me, snuggled into my side when I shifted, and a dusted smile swept across my lips, startling me. I love her so much. I let my head rest on the window, this time hoping for no more horror as I dozed.
