Trapped All Alone

Kiibo kept pacing back and forth in the cafeteria, biting on his metallic fingers. Everyone was also restless in their own way, having been told what happened about an hour ago. Kokichi was leaning his chair as far back as he could without falling. Kaito and Gonta were standing near each other, their overwhelming presence filled with anxiety. Himiko and Tenko were sitting down, Tenko doing all she can to cheer up Himiko. Angie was praying to Atua in the corner while Miu was looking at a spoon intensely.... for some reason. Korekiyo was staring at Kiibo, curious to see how Shuichi will act or come back as. Maki was brooding in the corner, sharpening something as she leaned against the wall, and Tsumugi was poking some jello she had found in the fridge.
"Ah I can't take it anymore! I'm about to go and search for them myself! It's been three hours!" Kokichi sighed heavily as he placed the chair down, standing up and crossing his arms.
"You know? You're not the only one worried, Tin Can!" He puffed his face up and looked annoyed, "What am I supposed to do without my play toy?!"
"He's not a toy." Kiibo took a step forward, finally standing up to Kokichi with a hint of anger in his voice.
"Oh~ struck a nerve, have I? Is it because I saw you getting like this with Mister Detective," he stuck his tongue out as he crossed two fingers, laughing to himself.
Kiibo began getting flustered and let his his emotions of embarrassment and anger take control, "I told you it was not like that!"
"Oh yeah~? But Mister Detective was all over you.~"
"Grrr..."
Gonta walked over and stepped between them. He understood Kokichi was just relieving pent up stress but taking it out on Kiibo, the most nerved one here, was not a good idea. "Gonta really think we should all calm down. Shuichi would want to come back to us when we're all calm and happy. We would not want to worry Shuichi, would we?" Both Kiibo and Kokichi resounded an agreeing response. Gonta sighed and watched Kokichi sit back down.
Kaito was the next to speak, "What the hell... how could I let my buddy go and get poisoned like that?! I knew he didn't eat dinner with us last night yet I didn't go make sure he ate at all. I'm a failure as a friend..."
Tenko sighed and stood up, walking towards the center of everyone. After taking a moment, she screamed, "Shut up you degenerate males! You don't understand how much you're upsetting Himiko! And you talk as if it were the end! Shuichi will come back to us!"
"How good of you to put it that way! Fighting against every bit of despair trying to seep in! However~... Shuichi will not be returning to you all." A familiar voice sounded throughout the cafeteria. Everyone slightly jumped, chills rushing through each person's spine.
It cause Monokuma to show even more joy than normal, "My my! It was as if one of your most precious friends was poisoned and in the hands of someone trying to make you kill each other! Oh wait, that is what's happening! Puhuhuhu!"
Kiibo clenched his fists and walked forward toward Monokuma. Static began to play in his ears and an error screen appeared in his vision. He ignored both, "Where's Shuichi?"
Monokuma laughed louder, "Didn't you hear me? He's not returning to you all quite yet! But before you all get your sad little panties in a wad, I will show you where he is."
After a minute, everyone was following Monokuma with surprisingly Kaito as a lead. Kiibo was on the side, watching the wall and trying to clear the static. The error screen had disappeared. Oddly enough, past Kaede's lab laid a door hidden beneath grass, moss, and mushrooms. They appeared to have been recently removed to reveal such a door. The little courtyard shrunk to a thin highway as the old school environment disappeared into that of a small hospital. Chairs were lined to the right side with a water fountain in between every two chairs. There were three large windows on the left wall, all showing a different hospital operation like room. At the end of the hallway laid a door that presumably lead to these rooms.
Monokuma stopped at the last window and started laughing. A gasp from someone drew everyone's attention. The tension rose as moods quickly dropped. Even Kokichi was completely stunned.
For on the other side, Shuichi was sitting mindlessly in a wooden chair. His shirt had been removed, exposing his skin. Everyone had a side view of his body, able to see tubes and tubes pour out of Shuichi. Most tubes were connected to the ceiling while two small, thin tubes were combined with a computer. One being an IV.
Tenko was the first to speak, angery at Monokuma, "What! What is this?! You better start talking because I'm not afraid to go neo-aikido all over you! You... you bear!"
This only excited Monokuma more, his laugh resounding more and more in their heads. "Look at all this despair! I told you I was going to provide him an antidote! But turns out... I made the poison wrong! The poison was supposed to be of a very slow process, altering the mindset of whoever had consumed it! Like the Despair Disease but in a more effective way~ It was supposed to drive the consumer to murder or even suicide! Wouldn't that be so despair filling? But no~ I gave Shuichi a true poison! You should've been in here when we were first hooking him up here~ screaming and crying out for help. Reaching as if he were trying to grab someone just out of his reach. He was also recovering some memories due to all the pain and we couldn't have him cheating like that, now could we?"
"You're sick! And it was your fault!" Kiibo appeared... different. His normal and friendly atmosphere had completely disappeared. Something appeared to be wrong with the top of his head... it looked out of place.
Monokuma jumped but then
"Rise and shine, ursine!"
The Monokubs appeared.
"No-harassing-Father!"
"Yes, just like Monodom has said, it be appreciated if you didn't attack father!"
"Yeah! We were trying save Shupinchy with the... the..."
"Life-Saving-Machine. Works-better-than-hospitals!"
Monokuma laughed and turned around, placing hands behind his back as if he were a teacher, "Just as my adorable cubs have said, I have hooked Shuichi up to the Life Saving Machine. It's supposed to remove all the blood and intoxicants in his body and replace it with a new batch of fresh blood! This machine is packed with every blood type so don't worry~ Shuichi will come back good as new! However...." the word fell upon the group like a thousand pound weight, "It may have some unexpected side effects since we've never tested this machine before! But what can you do? Puhuhuhu!"
Silently, they all processed this information.
Just then there was a ding.
>A new school regulation: Hospital Rooms are OFF limits unless the headmaster grants permission
>A new school regulation: No other student may try and treat another student in a hospital room

"So long! Bear well!" Monokuma and the cubs vanished, leaving the students all staring at Shuichi. Slowly, everyone left, leaving Kiibo, Kokichi, Kaito, and Maki.
"Well... Let's just hope these side effects don't do anythin' strange to our Shuichi. Let's get going Maki Roll."
A glare quickly shut him up, but soon the two left. Kokichi walked up to the window and placed a hand on it, sighing, "This is sick."
"What?"
"It's sickening. Not even I would do something as sick as this. It's the mastermind's fault and I'm going to make them pay. One way," Kokichi turned away and moved towards the door, giving a chance for Kiibo to see his face. Kokichi was frowning for once, as if he finally took the situation seriously. The anger on his face grew as he sputtered, "or another." He left.
Kiibo looked at his own hand before backing up, the heel of his foot tapping a chair behind him. He sat down and readjusted his hair. The static vanished. He looked up at Shuichi and nodded. It's because of this killing game that's he's like this. It's because of this morbid game that someone Kiibo... cares about... is like this. He closed his hand. This game has to end someday, and like Kokichi said, one way or another...

He woke up. He blinked awake, a bit unclear of what exactly had happened after he had sat down. But judging by his surroundings, he was no longer in front of Shuichi's hospital room. No, he was in his own room. Kiibo looked around and sighed, sitting on the edge of his bed. No! Monokuma said Shuichi should be alright by today so he should not be getting all depressed! That's right! It's all the more reason to cheer everyone up. Putting a smile on his face, Kiibo went back to being his cheery self.
He left the dorms and headed towards the cafeteria that has become the usual meet up spot. He was stopped in front of the entrance, however, by a frowning Kaito.
"Hey there Kiibo."
"Kaito! Are you alright? Your voice has toned down from your usual energy!"
"Oh. Yeah, sorry about that pal. Just a bit worn out," he cleared his throat, "By the way. You shouldn't say anything about yesterday."
"What?" Kiibo thought for a reason why but came up short, "why?"
"Well, that's cause Shuichi's in there but he-" Kaito couldn't finish his sentence because Kiibo had already slammed open the doors. The few people who were in the cafeteria (and Shuichi) looked up at Kiibo before returning to their own tasks. Kiibo walked straight ahead and smiled at Shuichi, taking his hand.
"You really are alright!"
"Y-Yeah... I guess," Shuichi blinked, slightly flustered from having someone suddenly grab his hand, "Are... well, are you alright?"
"Especially well now that I know you've recovered." Kaito's words then struck, causing Kiibo to ask, "W-Wait, do you know what happened yesterday?"
Shuichi put a hand to his chin and thought for a moment before nodding to no one, answering, "Well, Monokuma told me, when I woke up in my room, that I had hit my head against you. We had apparently collided when you ran at me. After that..." Shuichi winced and held his head, "It hurts to try and remember."
Kiibo calmed down a bit and backed away, "So... you remember nothing? Not the shed? Or what happened... in it?"
"No... what shed? Should I? Kiibo..." Shuichi began to feel guilty, biting his lip.
Kaito walked in and cleared his throat, "That's enough for now Kiibo. We can discuss this later. Shuichi's gotta eat, alright?" He put a hand on Kiibo's shoulder and face a reassuring thumbs up.
Kiibo nodded and walked back out of the cafeteria, somewhat in a daze. Shuichi really didn't remember anything. The only one who did was him...
He felt oddly upset at this. But maybe things can go back to the way they were... at least he had hoped.
He didn't know he'd discover someone trapped all alone.

"... Kokichi?"
