Short 18: Zap! (🤎Stebas🤍)
AN: This story has taken off like a rocket ship, holy crap! Thank y'all Natsuri readers for giving my book a chance, it means a lot to a person who loves writing stories!
It has been a while since I have written anything for this story, so I'll give you guys a warm up for now 👀. Here's a short about our cinnaboy and angryboy. I will be working on the next chapter and it'll come out soon don't worry!
Also, I changed Sebastian and Stephen's ship name since 'Seben' seemed boring to me, so we have Stebas now! Enjoy the short!
Sebastian's POV
"Gloves. Don't fail me!" I was laying in my bed, 'admiring' my darkened gloves that set firmly on my hands. After the arcade fiasco I have honestly been feeling scared about going to school (which is probably bad because I'll have to go eventually). Aah! I just don't know what to do!
Cuz is already worrying herself to death already! Coming to those terms, I'm debating on telling her about my... hand problem. Okay, that just sounds wrong now that I think about it. Anyway—
Looking at these gloves reminds me of that one Disney movie where a Princess has to wear gloves... hmm...
I'll just let it go for now.
Oh, yeah! It's getting close to Christmas, so I guess these gloves are not totally out of style, haha.
My fingers were tingling at my fingertips. It felt like they were about to send electricity outside of my gloves, but couldn't escape the barricaded fabric around it. Thank god the gloves were working like I hoped
I sighed. I glanced at my game controller, thinking about my sweet game I haven't beaten yet. I could play some video games?
The decal on my control had a crisp, yellow lightning bolt spread across the interior. Now these powers I somehow got seems intentional...
Actually, the more I think about it... I have many electric-related displays in my room. I guess I like lightning!
Anyway, what else could I do? Hmm... I squished my cheeks by using my gloves hands; it felt nice if I do say so myself.
My thoughts were interrupted from my phone ringing. My favorite song 'Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne' was set as the ring tone. I love it so much!
Oh... it's an unknown number. See, a normal person would ignore it, but I'm not normal so—
I tried grabbing my phone with my gloves but they were slippery to the touch, which meant I needed to take off one of my hand hoodies. Oh boy.
I took off one of my hand hoodies, steadily; it felt nerve wrecking to say the least! I don't want my hand going crazy!
To save myself from accidentally letting my power loose, I answered the phone in the span of a second, quickly pressing the 'speaker' phone so I do not have to hold my phone.
"Heya!" I said with glee as I wrapped my fingers around my glove again, exposing my palm to the fresh room air.
"Hey, you weirdo..." Oh it's a meanie telemarketer— wait a minute. I recognize that voice—
"Stephen!? Is that you?" I was aghast to be hearing Stephen at this time. Even more aghast that he called ME! I would of never imagined it in a million, trillion years.
"Don't make a big deal out of it, I was just calling to check on you—"
"Ooo. You were worried about me!?" My eyes widened and my mouth gaped open.
"Yes—"
Knowing what the taller brunette said, he tried defending himself even if he failed miserably. "I-I mean— ugh! Yes I was, okay!?"
My gaped mouth soon turned into an obvious smile on my face. "Yes, Stephen, I'm doing okay!" Emotionally of course. I can't say the same for physically.
"Good or... whatever... uh... hey..." I don't hear this often but his tone softened a bit. "If you want to come over our house anytime then go ahead."
"Wait... really!?"
"Don't make me change my mind with the questions!"
This was sudden by Stephen standards. I don't know what pushed him to do this, but I'm not going to exactly shut it down.
"Sorry! But, yeah! I'd love to come over some time," I scratched the nape of my exposed neck. "Maybee not today though."
"O-Oh. I don't mean today! Hell no!" Stephen sounded friendly. I like when he shows this side of him. I love it even.
"U-Uh. That's all! You— you weirdo!" I don't know if it was just me but the brunette was on the verge of laughing after that last statement.
"Feel better! Bye!" Immediately, after saying that, Stephen hung the phone up. I was left there speechless from the events that just happened.
I was also speechless from the way my body was reacting to Stephen's friendly attitude.
