Our jouney begins.

"WAKEY WAKEY!"
"GAH!" I woke up, startled, to Chara's voice. She looked pumped and ready to roll. I rubbed my misty eyes and groaned. "You don't have to wake me up like that..." I stood up groggily.
"FLOWEY!"
"GAH!" Flowey popped out of the ground in front of Chara. "I DID WASH THE DISHES, MOM, I SWEAR!"
He looked around at our smug faces and sighed.
"Oops?"
"Come on, guys, let's go! Time's a wasting!" Chara grinned and tossed me my new walking stick. "Careful with that foot, Frisk! I wouldn't run too much if I were you!" I looked helplessly at Flowey.
"Is she always like this in the morning?" I asked him. He gave me the same look.
"Yeah."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Chara... Can we rest for a while? My legs are kiiiiiillling me..." I groaned. Flowey glared at me.
"Kid, we can't progress if we stop every five minutes!" I know we rested for about five times in thirty minutes, but I really couldn't go on. Every step was agony, my leg flaring up in pain. Chara took something from her bag. It looked like...
"Cinnamon butterscotch pie?" I recognised the scent. Chara nodded.
"Eat this. It'll make you feel better." Flowey raised an eyebrow.
"Is this..."
"Yeah, I nicked it from her kitchen."
"Sweet!" Flowey laughed in what seemed like malicious glee. Chara cracked a smile.
Not knowing what they were talking about, I bit into the creamy pie.
"OH MY GOODNESS." I screamed. My tastebuds were in heaven.
"She makes the best pies." Chara chimed. Right as she said it, I felt much stronger, and my leg felt less tired. I felt my phone vibrate.
"That's your HP bar. It stands for health points." She said and as I flipped my phone open, I saw it go from 3 to 20. "Try not to let it get to 0. Then things would be much more complicated."
'Much more complicated' sounded like 'death'. I nodded in thanks and finished the rest of the delicious pie.
After walking for a while, I noticed something.
"Chara?"
"Yes?"
"Didn't you say there were monsters in the Rui-AH!" I screamed as I felt something pounce on me.
"FROGGIT!" Chara screamed, startled.
"I GOT THIS..." Flowey's face changed. His once-adorable face changed into a grinning, sharp toothed Satan-face. Even Chara inched away. The Froggit, with sharp teeth held only two inches away from my throat, didn't notice him. My arms screamed in protest as I pushed the monster away from myself, but it seemed to be getting closer...
"WhO dO yOu ThInK yOu ArE?" A chilling voice rattled the cavern walls. The Froggit froze. Three circles of friendliness pellets surrounded him and struck him again, and again, and again until...
His body blew away into dust, and all that was left of him was a shaking, grey heart.
"DIE." A last friendliness pellet struck the heart, and it shattered into two.
Horrified, I turned my head to look at Flowey.
"Is... Is it..."
"Dead? Yes. I destroyed it's soul. You won't be seeing him anymore." Flowey was back to his original state like nothing happened.
"But he didn't have to die!"
"Frisk, he was trying to kill you." Chara glared at the dust blowing away on the ground.
"In this world, it's kill or be killed." Flowey's face darkened.
"B-but he was following his instincts! Like you said you were!" I pointed to Flowey.
"Well... He is... A different case." Chara shifted uncomfortably. She was hiding something. "Killing or not, let's keep on going. We need to get to the entrance of the Underground as fast as we could, or we may run into her." Again with the unidentified pronouns.
Flowey and Chara walked ahead, and looking at the blowing away dust of the Froggit one last time, I picked up my stick and followed them.
On the way, we saw some puzzles set up, but Chara and Flowey seemed to memorise the answers all by heart, and we crossed them all with ease.
Reaching a small, wooden table, I saw a smaller piece of cheese on it. A mouse hole was beside it. Somehow, knowing that the mouse would probably one day get the cheese, it filled me with... Determination.
Suddenly, I felt a warmth in my chest, and I saw a red heart in front of me. Was it...my soul?
It began to radiate a golden light, and then it stopped. The soul disappeared, along with the golden light. But that was enough for both Chara and Flowey to turn around, wide eyed.
"That's..." gaped Chara.
"Well... we shouldn't be surprised. All human's determination is strong." Flowey mumbled in response. I, however, was completely baffled.
"What was that?" I screamed after I rubbed the dancing spots in my eyes.
"That, Frisk, was your determination." Chara explained.
"Basically, your save point. If you... Perhaps, die, you'll come back here. And all memories of the event happening afterward of every single living being in the world, will disappear."
"So... You all will forget everything?"
"Everything. It's like dying, basically."
That sounded depressing.
"I-I'll try not to die, then." Chara and Flowey exchanged a look.
"Alright." They said in unison.
