Thane's pov

"Okay, what toys do you guys want?" I asked as we walked into a toy store. The kids squealed happily and dragged us to different sections of the store. I was with Declyn looking at toy trucks and cars.

"Okay, pick out a few toys, then we will go meet up with your sister and daddy." I smiled and let Declyn pick three toys. He picked a large truck, a box of cars, and some building blocks.

"Delila likes these toys too! Maybe she'll play with me?" Declyn asked. I smiled and nodded.

"Maybe she will!" I said and carried his toys to where Janos and Delila were. Delila had picked out a few varieties of dolls.

"Trucks!" She exclaimed seeing the toys Declyn picked. Declyn smiled widely and hugged his younger sister.

"Will you please play with me when we get home?" Declyn asked nicely. Delila nodded her head happily.

"I love playing with you!" She smiled widely and held his hand. They looked up at us and held our hands with their free ones. Declyn held my hand while Delila held Janos's.

"Okay, let's pay, then we can go get ice cream! How does that sound?" I asked the twins. They smiled widely.

"Sounds good, papa!" Declyn claimed and let Janos and I pay for the toys. Janos carried all of the bags in his left hand as his right held onto Delila. We looked both ways before crossing the street with our children.

"What flavor do you want?" Janos asked as he pulled out his wallet. The kids thought for a moment before saying the same flavor at once.

"Chocolate!" They claimed. Janos and I giggled and led them towards the ice-cream vendor. They both stood in waiting on the grass for their sweet treat.

"Two chocolate, one vanilla, and one strawberry," Janos said as he pulled out some money. The vendor said how much it was and Janos paid calmly. He then Handed each kid their chocolate ice-cream before handing me my vanilla.

I looked Janos in the eye and smiled evilly. He gasped and tried to walk away from me, but I hit his nose with my ice-cream before he could even blink. Delila, Declyn, and I all laughed as Janos pouted and wiped his nose on his sleeve.

"You're in for it." Janos laughed and slammed his ice cream onto my cheek. I whined and looked at Janos sadly. He sighed and wiped my cheek clean of the strawberry cream. I smiled widely at Janos and kissed his cheek.

"I love you," I cooed as I laid my head on his shoulder. The twins were a small way ahead of us, just playing with each other happily.

"I love you," Janos smiled and kissed my forehead. I smiled and relished in this sweet moment. I had a small feeling that the blissful moment wouldn't last forever, though.

I brushed off the negativity and smiled wider. I looked up at Janos.

"Can we build a blanket and pillow fort when we get home to watch movies?" I asked childishly. Janos chuckled and smiled at me.

"Absolutely. If you want, we can go home as soon as we finish our ice-cream." Janos smiled wider and kissed my nose.

"Kids, it's time to go!" I exclaimed after they had finished eating their ice-creams. I smiled widely and watched as they ran up to us.

"What will we do when we get home?" Delila asked me in the car as we drove home. I turned around in the passenger seat to face her.

"We're going to build a blanket fort and watch movies all night long!" I exclaimed, earning excited squeals from the twins.

"Daddy, will you watch them with us?" Declyn asked. Janos smiled at them through the rearview mirror.

"Absolutely!" Janos claimed and pulled into our driveway. I smiled as the twins attempted to unbuckle themselves.

"Alright, let's go watch some movies!" I exclaimed and carried the twins into the house. I sat them down and allowed them to run around the house as Janos and I built the fort.

Janos caught the moment alone and grabbed onto my waist. He slowly pulled me closer to him and kissed my lips softly. I smiled into the kiss and wrapped my arms around his shoulders. I pulled away after some time and rested our foreheads against each other's.

"We should get the kids." I breathed and pulled myself away from his arms. I smiled widely and looked around the house for the twins.

I soon found them in their room, happily playing together. The didn't notice me for quite a while as I stood there, watching how happily they enjoyed each other's presence.

"Are you ready to watch movies?" I asked. They squealed and jumped up from the floor. They ran toward me and hugged my legs.

"I'll take that as a yes." I smiled and picked them both up. They smiled too. Their smiles were bright and full of joy, one that I absolutely loved and adored.

I could watch the kids be happy all day and not get bored. They're so full of energy and so playful, I love it.

"What took so long?" Janos asked jokingly as he was already inside the fort. I smiled and knelt with the twins in my arms. I let them down onto the carpet.

"What's the password?" Janos asked playfully. He melted hearing what Delila said.

"I love you, daddy!" Delila exclaimed, hoping she would gain entrance. Janos teared up and let us three inside.

"I love you, too, princess." Janos smiled and chastely kissed her hair. I smiled at the sweet interaction and hugged Declyn. He smiled and wrapped his small arms around my neck.

"I love you, papa. Thank you for taking us in." Declyn spoke. I gasped and cried softly.

"I love you all." I sniffled, laughing a little when Delila used her small sweater sleeve to wipe my tears dry.

"Thank you, princess." I smiled and calmed down significantly. Janos held Delila as we started the movie, and I held Declyn.

They squealed excitedly seeing an animated movie begin to play. I smiled at the sound and held Janos's hand.

"I love you, Janos. Thank you for giving me a family. I've always wanted a complete family."

"I love you too, Thane. I would do this all a thousand times over if it meant you would stay happy." Janos smiled and kissed my forehead.
