Thane's pov
"Janos, wake up! Wake up! It's time to go adoption searching!" I exclaimed the next morning and shook his shoulders. He groaned and rolled away from me.
"Thane, let me sleep, baby. I'm tired." Janos mumbled sleepily. I grabbed his hand and pulled him out of bed.
"You said we would go looking for our child! Let's go!" I squealed and quickly kissed him to wake him up. His eyes widened before closing. He pulled me closer to himself and onto his lap.
"When we get a kid, we won't have as much alone time like this. Are you sure you don't want to wait until after the Honeymoon for a kid?" Janos asked against my lips. I kissed him again before getting off his lap.
"Get showered so we can go, babe. I want to at least find out what kid we want to adopt so they can be at the wedding." I stated and walked away, feeling a tap on my butt. I turned around and playfully glared at Janos.
"Come with me." Janos pouted. I nodded and grabbed us clean clothes to change into afterward.
"Here goes nothing," Janos mumbled and pushed open the first orphanage's door. I anxiously wrapped myself around Janos's left arm and let him lead me through the building into the office.
"Hello, we would like to adopt-"
"If you're two men, you can't adopt children together; it's illegal here." The office worker spat. I felt my eyes tear up.
"What does it matter if we are two men? We will love and accept the child as they are!" Janos exclaimed loudly, gaining the attention of another worker.
"Janice, shut up! Excuse me, sirs, but you are in fact allowed to adopt here. Janice, you're fired." The older worker yelled. Janice began to cry as she ran out of the adoption house.
"Would you like to meet the kids? What age group are you looking for?" She asked politely. I smiled at her and nodded.
"Age doesn't really matter to us. All that matters is that they fit in with Janos and me." I smiled softly. She nodded and left to collect the orphaned children.
A few minutes later, the worker told us to meet them all.
"Hi!" I smiled widely at them all. They all gasped seeing such a young couple coming to adopt.
"Oh my god, twins!" I whisper shouted at Janos. Janos smiled and left to talk to the lady about possibly adopting them.
"Hello, my name is Thane, and the other man that was with me is Janos. He's my fiance. What are your names?" I smiled and knelt before the twins.
"I'm Declyn, and this is Delila." The male twin spoke softly. I smiled at them both.
"You both are so cute! What do you like to do for fun?"
"We like to color and play outside," Declyn spoke for them both again. I smiled still.
"Can Delila speak?" I asked softly, not wanting to scare either of the children. Delila shook her head.
"No, she hasn't been able to speak since we lost our parents. It's okay though, I usually speak for her," Declyn said somberly. I furrowed my brows until I felt a hand rest itself atop my head. I smiled and looked up at Janos.
"I really like them, Jae. What do you think?" I asked. Janos smiled and pulled me to stand up.
"So, we do want the twins?" Janos asked softly enough for them not to hear. I nodded my head quickly.
"I talked tp the owner of this house, and she said we should foster the kids for two months before we adopt them. It's to let the kids get a feel for what life will be like with us since their opinion matters more than our wants." Janos claimed. I smiled and knelt back down.
I reached to hold one of each of their hands. I smiled softly at the pair, who smiled back at me shyly.
"Are you adopting us?" Declyn asked. I smiled wider and nodded.
"Yes!" I said. I just couldn't stop smiling in their presence. Declyn squealed and they both hugged me. I sighed in content and hugged them back. Janos knelt down beside us and wrapped his arms around all three of us.
"Dec, Dee, go pack up kids. You'll be staying with these nice men for two months until they finalize the paperwork and gain parenthood of you both." The owner smiled at the kids. The pair of twins then ran upstairs to their room to pack.
"I can tell you two will love these children. I'll help you both as best as I can to adopt them." The owner claimed. I nodded my head and hugged her before kissing Janos' cheek.
"Thank you, babe. I love you so much." I cried softly as Janos held me.
"Come on, baby. Why are you crying?" Janos asked sweetly. I let more tears roll down my cheeks.
"I got the man I love, and the children that I know I will love. I have a full family finally." I sobbed until I felt two small hands grab onto my shirt bottom. I pulled away from Janos and looked down at them with a smile. I wiped my tears away and knelt down beside them.
"Do you need help with anything?" I asked. They shook their heads and held their suitcases tightly.
"Janos-" Janos nodded and grabbed their suitcases from their hands very gently. I looked at them with a smile.
"Do you mind if I carry you both?" I asked. Declyn looked at his sister, who nodded her head.
"It's okay. You can carry us." The five-year-old said. I squealed and picked them both up. I held them securely, but softly so as to not hurt them at all.
"Thank you, both of you." I smiled as they wrapped their small arms around my neck in a hug.
