Thane's pov

"Hey Thane, can we go on another date? I have something to ask you." Janos stated as we got into bed one night. I smiled and cuddled into his side.

"Sure. What do you have to ask me?" I asked as I kissed his chest. He smiled down at me and wrapped his arms around me.

"It's a secret."

"Thane, time to wake up, baby. Naptime is over; now it's time for you to get dressed for our date tonight." Janos smiled and kissed my lips to wake me up. I groaned and wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him down onto me.

"Cuddle me for a little bit, please?" I asked sleepily. Janos cooed at me and kissed my cheek.

"I love you so much." I drawled and kissed his lips again. Janos kissed back and rubbed my sides softly. I smiled into the kiss and held onto his nape.

"I love you," Janos claimed and kissed my lips again softly. Too soon for my liking, Janos pulls away and leads me into the bathroom. I found my suit, clean of dirt and grime, hung up in the bathroom.

"Are we going out to dinner?" I asked loudly, starting to undress. Janos confirmed my suspicion before I hopped under the stream of warm water.

A few minutes later, I exited the shower after turning off the water. I towel dried my body before blow-drying my hair. I got dressed in the suit and began doing my makeup. Janos always enjoyed it when I had smokey eyes.

"You look stunning." Janos compliments as he kissed the top of my hand. I laughed and let him lead me out of the house and into the restaurant.

Janos pulled my chair out for me and helped me sit down at the table. I smiled at him and kissed his cheek before he sat down in his own chair. He faced me with a shy smile, his cheeks were tinted blush pink.

"So, what did you have to ask me?" I wondered aloud as a waiter came to take our orders. We paused our conversation to tell her our orders, then she left.

"Well, let's enjoy our meal first, and then you'll know." Janos smiled and leaned over the table to give me a kiss. I kissed back and pulled away, feeling shy that we were in public.

"Alright," I said and waited calmly for our food to arrive.

It soon arrived and we ate our dinner calmly. A few minutes after we finished eating the delicious meal, a dessert was placed in front of each of us. Mine was a small chocolate lava cake. I smiled and reached for my spoon, then I noticed something metal sat on my spoon handle.

"Babe, what's this?" I asked and held up an old-looking ring. Janos smiled softly and took the ring from my fingers gently. He stood up then knelt in front of me.

"Thane Light, you make me the happiest man in the world. When you weren't yourself- when you were depressed- it hurt me deeply. It was as though I could feel your pain and torment you went through. When you were faced with your demons, you didn't bow, instead, you raced ahead and fought them.

"You're so brave, so strong, so amazing, it makes me fall for you more and more each day. I would do anything- anything- to make you happy and keep you that way. I promise I will be here for you through everything. Through the good times, the bad times, and the scary times.

"I promise I will love and care for you always, and that I will protect you forever. What I'm trying to get at here is, will you marry me, Thane Light?" Janos teared up as he held the ring up. I cried softly as he spoke but broke into sobs as he asked that one special sentence. I rapidly nodded my head and held out my left hand for him to slide the ring on.

"Absolutely, yes! I love you so much!" I cried harder as Janos pulled me to his chest. I wrapped my arms around his waist and cried into his chest.

"I got eyeshadow on your suit- I'm sorry," I mumbled as Janos pulled out of the hug. I looked up at him and kissed his lips, not caring one bit that we were in public with dozens of people watching us.

We heard clapping and I noticed Yao holding a video camera up. He continued recording as tears dripped down his cheeks. I saw Sam sobbing into Hollan's chest. I smiled wider and kissed Janos again.

"I love you, Janos Jeffree." I smiled and kissed him yet again. I was overjoyed that my boyfriend became my fiance.

"I love you, Thane Light, or should I go ahead and say Thane Jeffree?" Janos smiled as tears rolled down his cheeks. I wiped his tears and gazed down at the ring happily.

"It's so beautiful, where did you get it?" I asked. Janos laced our fingers together.

"I got it from a salesman in the eighteen hundreds. It's true vintage from the nineteenth century. It's sapphire and jade." Janos replied genuinely. I smiled and kissed his cheek before wiping my cheeks dry.

"That was beautiful, Janos! You better take good care of our boy now, you hear? We won't hesitate to beat you up if you hurt him!" Sam exclaimed, raising a fist at Janos jokingly. I laughed at his antics and leaned my head on Janos' shoulder.

Janos wrapped his arm around my shoulders and hugged me to himself.

"I wouldn't hurt him even if I tried. I love him too much to hurt him." Janos smiled and kissed my forehead. I smiled and closed my eyes, just relaxing in his arms.

"Thank you." I smiled with my eyes still closed. Janos kissed my nose this time.

"I love you so much!" Janos said. I sighed happily and put an arm around his waist.
