Janos teleported into Thane's bedroom with a glowing excitement. His hands shook and trembled as his imagination ran wild.

"Thanie, I've got to show you something!" Janos grinned and gently grabbed the younger male's hands. He pulls the angel upright from the blue bed and into his arms.

"Ugh let go of me, vamp." Thane coldly whined and tried to pull himself free. Janos tightened his hold and transported them to Thane's old house.

Once they stepped foot onto the ground, Thane's eyes gazed over the old house. Janos had been taking care of the house well for the last two centuries. This small building was one of the only objects Janos still cared for relentlessly.

"Aren't you going to step inside your own house?" Janos softly asked with his arms around Thane's waist.

    Thane's pov

The small house was beautiful. The outside walls were coated in a shiny dark blue paint. The windows were crystal clear and the wood surrounding it- a blinding white.

"Aren't you going to step inside your own house?" Janos kindly spoke. He opened the cherry wood door and gently led me inside.

He pulled me into a cute kitchen and sat me onto the island in the middle. He tied a waist apron onto my waist and began playing some music softly.

He gently placed his hands on my hips and softly swayed us to the beat. He sang along quietly to the music he was playing.

A memory flashed through my mind.

"Thanie, come dance with me!" Janos exclaims as he tugs on my waist. We softly sway in the kitchen together as Janos softly sings my favorite song.

"I love you, Thane." Janos whispered and placed a soft, chaste kiss on my neck. He laid his head on my shoulder and continued to lead us as we danced.

"I love you too, Janos." Thane promised. He rested his cheek on Janos's lovingly.

A timer rang through the kitchen. Janos perked up with a smile and put on oven mits.

"I made cookies!" Janos squealed, exactly as he had done two centuries ago.

"Jae I think you burned them a little." I laughed but proceeded to bite into a cookie he had made. I scrunched my nose up slightly at the burned flavor.

"I didn't burn them this time, Thane!" Janos exclaimed and began to plate the cookies. He smiled softly as he did so.

"What was the point of this, vamp? Do you think I'm that easy to get into bed? You're wrong, buddy—" I was cut off by Janos kneeling, an open velvet box in his hand.

"I had meant to do this two centuries ago, right after we finished chasing each other. But given the circumstances, or rather your.. death." Janos winced.

"I was unable to ask you to be mine, for the length of our human lives. But now that you're an angel, and I a vampire, we have eternity. I won't let you go this time, Thane Light. I love you, so, so much." Janos teared. He laughed softly as he wiped the tears that fell.

My heart softened and my own eyes grew misty. My wings sprouted from my back, their black feathers gleaming in the light.

Another sharp pain shot through my back, this time leading along the length of my wings. I fell to the ground a meter away from Janos. He stood up, leaving the ring on the floor, and stumbled towards me.

My wings circled themselves protectively around myself as they shone a light pink. Janos covered his eyes as the light grew brighter.

I arched my back and straightened my wings. The light grew even more bright before eventually fading completely, leaving only pale pink wings and my emotions in their wake. I finally felt in control of myself again.

"Janos..." I weeped. My hands rose shakily as I looked at their top and palm. They began to sweat as I grew excited.

"Thane!" Janos exclaimed and leaped onto me. He wrapped his arms around me as he cried harder. He held me tightly as we cried together seemingly endlessly.

"I," I sniffled. "I know this is probably crazy on my part, but yes." I whispered, but I knew he had heard me.

"Really? You'll, you'll marry me?" Janos asked incredulously. He pulled away from the hung enough to see my face.

"Absolutely. I owe my life to you, and I have to admit I may have fallen for your ambition along the past few weeks." I sheepishly responded as I lowered my gaze.

"You don't know how incredibly happy this makes me." His voice wavered as his hands gently cupped my cheeks. His eyes bore into my own as they tried to gauge my reaction.

"Thanie, can I kiss you?" Janos timidly asked his face scrunched up cutely in fear of rejection.

"You've already kissed me twice, what's the harm in once more?" I lightly laughed and shrugged my shoulders.

"Is that a yes? I don't want to make you uncom—"

I cut his anxious rambling off with a gentle peck. My hands now cupped his cheeks, my thumbs softly caressing his cheeks.

"Stop worrying so much, Jae. I'm a big guy, I can handle a kiss from the guy I like." I stated with a small smile. My eyes happily looked into his as I noticed his cheeks grow warm.

     "Can I kiss you again?"

"Any time.." I trailed before his lips sweetly captured my own once more. Once he decided I wouldn't shatter under his kiss, he began to slowly move our lips in a soft rhythm. I wrapped my arms around his neck and gently played with his hair.

This kiss was far different than the last two were. The prior ones were full of pain and sorrow— full of his want to have me back emotionally. They were more full of lust than they were love.

This kiss was full of a sweet passion and love that seeped into my veins and heart. It electrified me as we continued. I smiled into the kiss.

Once we begrudgingly broke our lips free, we gasped for air. Janos reached behind him and brought the ring box back before my eyes.

"Will you marry me, Thane? I know I already asked but—" I pecked his lips to shut him up again. I lifted my left hand towards him.

"Yes!" I whispered against his lips as he proudly slid the ring onto my left ring finger. My eyes happily gazed over the aquamarine and diamond ring. It was breathtakingly beautiful.

"I bought this in 1828, but didn't know if I would actually propose. It wasn't until I had lost you I realized my mistake." Janos speaks softly, looking into my eyes with care.

"But before a wedding happens, or is even planned, I want you to court me." I childishly began, "You said we met in the 1822, so court me as you did then."

He connected our lips again quickly before whispering, "I will, I'll take you on as many dates as you want. I love you, Tae. I know it's probably too early for you to love me back, but I'll wait."

I could get used to this; his kisses and love, his sweet affection.
