Chapter 2 Connor
Elizabeth sat at a beige Round Table her hands cupping a mug of cold tea. She knew that soon she be tired of tea and coffee, she wanted so badly to go out and do something. The only non boring thing was a movie theater connected to a bowling and skating rink, and of course there were the occasional arcade games and that was all. Plus oh, she started school in 2 days, and her aunt had insisted over the phone that she finished her senior year at Hays High School. It was a few miles away from the city of course, which made her anxious since she had no car here and she already had a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach about walking home and walking to school everyday.
Her cousin, Ali, was supposed to give her a tour of the city, but had yet to come. Being a very curious person oh, she stood up and Shrugged into a gray thin windbreaker. She finished her tea and told her aunt where she was going. She walked out, the rain had ceased to a dole sprinkle but it was still cold but not as bad. Her non grip boots splashing in the cold puddles. She got a subtal felling of uneasiness. Maybe the feeling was trying to tell her something, but her Focus was diverted when her foot slid from under her and she felt her body pitch forward.
Expecting to fall flat on her face she shooting her face with her Palms, only to feel someone pivot Her around and she fell. She fell into warm arms, but those arms were connected to a boy. She felt him lift her up gently, Elizabeth smooth's the edge of her shirt and turn to confront her hero. Only to find herself freezing in mid-sentence. He was Charming oh, but the most attractive saying about him where the chilly blue eyes, that made her feel like she was floating in a sea of blue. Making her forget about Jack her boyfriend. She shook her head.
"Thanks." She said.
The boy only stared at her, his face showing capacious amounts of different emotions. First it was anger, then sorrow until recongization flickered in his eyes.
"Elena?" He asked Softly, his voice full of love.
Elizabeth frowned, her eyebrows furrowed together as she stepped backwards.
"I'm sorry?" She asked.
The boy blinked and coughed, running a hand through his almond brown hair.
"Nothing... Nothing, you just reminded me of a... Long gone friend." He said.
Elizabeth looked away, Disturbed by the look in his eyes. A look of pure psycho, like he knew her. The attraction she had for him however, did not go away and she despised it.
"Ouch that looks like it hurt." He said.
She looked down at her ankle which had a tiny scratch on it.
"Umm...no." She said.
"Right, right. I'm Connor." He said smiling.
Elizabeth didn't trust him enough to speak her true name.
"Angel." She lied.
Connor raised a eyebrow and held out his hand. She hesitated before shaking his hand, his Palm was warm against hers, and she could have sworn he held it more than necessary.
"Nice to meet you...Angel." He said.
Her heart lurched in her chest as he walked off, she knew that he knew the truth about her. What was it?
That her name wasn't really angel.
