The last chapter of Part One
Alex and Emily stood frozen in fear, their hearts pounding as they scanned the dimly lit room in search of the source of the maniacal voice. Suddenly, a couch flew through the air, flying towards Emily with deadly force. Reacting quickly, Alex darted towards her and clasped her hand tightly, yanking her out of the way just in time to avoid the incoming attack. The two stumbled backwards as they were out of breath.
"Are you okay, Emily?" Alex asked with concern.
"I'm fine, Noah. He wants to torture us more," Emily said, her voice trembling.
"Don't worry, Emily. We'll figure something out together," Alex reassured her.
In the aftermath of the couch attack, objects began to fly towards them from all directions. Reacting quickly, Alex reached out to grab Emily from behind and then both of them sprinted down the hallway, their hearts pounding with fear.
As they make their way down the dimly lit hallway, Emily and Alex finally arrive at a room and quickly lock the door behind them. They are both panting, exhausted from running for what felt like hours. Emily turns to Alex, her eyes filled with determination, and says, "Noah, we have to defeat the demon!"
Alex nods, but his voice is laced with worry. "Yes, but how can we weaken his power? He's so skilled at trapping people in the fictional world," he says, his brow furrowed in deep thought.
"Mom, where are you?"
Emily heard the voice of a little girl, filled with sorrow as if she were searching for her mother. Emily recognized the voice immediately, it was the same voice she had heard the night Harry was killed.
"Noah," Emily called out, her voice barely above a whisper. Alex turned to her and asked, "Yes, what happened?"
Emily took a deep breath and said, "Remember, I have told you that I heard a girl's voice who was searching for her mom that night." Alex's eyebrows furrowed as he asked, "Did you hear that voice again?"
Emily nodded, her eyes filling with tears. "Yes, I did. Have you not heard that voice?" she exclaimed.
Alex's heart sank as he realised that Emily was the only one who could hear the voice. He hesitantly asked, "Emily, have you experienced any kind of trauma?"
Emily raised her eyebrow in confusion and said, "Why are you asking me this question?"
Suddenly, Emily was hit with a memory that made her feel like she was being crushed by a boulder. "That voice," she said in a trembling voice, "It's similar to my childhood voice."
Emily rose to leave the room, but Alex tried to stop her. She didn't listen to him and ran out of the room, her heart was racing. As she reached the hallway, she saw a woman with long hair running towards the end of the hall. Emily decided to chase her.
As Emily entered the hall, she noticed a woman standing in a corner, facing the entrance door. Slowly, she approached the woman and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. When the woman turned around, Emily let out a terrified scream. She screams because the woman's face is completely rotten.
Alex hurried over to Emily as she ran into his arms, sobbing uncontrollably. "Noah, when I was young, I never felt loved. My dad passed away when I was just a baby, and my mom left me alone at home when I was 10. My aunt took care of me after that," Emily shared the whole story while crying on his chest. Alex patted her back and said "So you are the one who was searching for her mom," Emily nodded.
Stepping back, Alex explained, "Emily, Damon Shadowcast is skilled at manipulation. He uses his victims's deepest desires and secrets to control them. He used your longing to meet your mom against you."
Surprised by Alex's knowledge, Emily asked, "How do you know so much about Damon Shadowcast?"
Alex replied, "My friend has a fascination with demons and shares his knowledge with me."
As they walked, a bright red light suddenly appeared behind them, filling the area with its intense glow. When they turned around, they were met with the sight of Demon Shadowcast standing before them. Alex recognized him from before - he was 6 feet 7 inches tall and emanated a dark energy that seemed to swallow up the light around him. His face was gaunt and pale, with glowing red eyes that burned with an urgent hunger. Jagged scars marked his face.
Alex and Emily tightly held each other hands as they trembled with fear. The grin on the demon's face grew wider as he watched their distress.
"Hahahahaha, it seems that you have discovered a lot about me, you little humans," the demon chuckled in delight.
"Please, just leave us alone. What do you want from us?" Emily begged.
The demon's expression turned to one of fury. "You dare to ask me what I want from you? Everything that is happening to you is your own doing. Why did you trespass into my forest after 7:30 pm? You should have known better," he roared.
"Can't you forgive us?" Alex pleaded.
"Forgive you? Never," the demon scoffed and loudly laughed.
As Emily whispered a plan to Alex, the demon interrupted her. "Do you honestly believe that you can overcome your fear of me? I doubt it. You will always be afraid," he taunted with another laugh.
Alex spoke with determination, his eyes fixed on the demon. "But we can do this!" he said firmly, then turned to Emily. "Emily, don't listen to him. We can overcome our fear of him together. You just have to support me!"
Emily looked at Alex, her eyes filled with uncertainty. "Sure, I will support you in this," she said, trying to sound more confident than she felt.
Alex's heart swelled with happiness at the sight of Emily's smile, but the demon's expression remained unchanged. Suddenly, the demon waved its hand in the air, and a maze of fire appeared, encircling Emily.
Emily gasped at the sight of the flames but quickly regained her composure. "This is just an illusion, not a real one," she reminded herself.
"You're right, Emily. This is just an illusion," Alex said, trying to reassure her.
Emily stepped forward and clasped Alex's hand, her eyes still fixed on the maze of fire. Slowly, step by step, they made their way through the flames, until they had escaped the demon's grip.
The demon Shadowcast's height started to decrease as Alex and Emily overcame their fear. "What is happening?" the demon cried out. "This can't be possible. Nobody has ever escaped my powers. How can they?"
Suddenly, the demon began to disappear into thin air. As he vanished, the entrance door of the motel creaked open, and a blue light began to spill out from the doorway, brightening Alex and Emily's path.
Alex and Emily stood facing each other with hope in their eyes. Emily's face lit up with joy as she said, "I think we can escape from this place."
Alex's heart raced with excitement as he replied, "Yes, you are right. But promise me that after we exit this world, you will meet me in the real world."
Without a second thought, Emily assured him, "Sure. I will try my best to meet you."
Alex's eyes gleamed with determination as he said, "If you don't come to meet me, then I will find you."
With their hands tightly clasped together, they stepped towards the door. As they crossed the threshold, everything began to fade away before their eyes. The world they had been trapped in for what felt like an eternity was finally coming to an end.

Emily slowly opens her eyes only to find herself lying on a hospital bed with a throbbing headache. The clock on the wall reads 3 pm. She tries to sit up, but the pain in her head makes her dizzy. As she regains her composure, she notices her phone lying on the side table. She reaches out to grab it, but her vision is blurry. She struggles to find her pair of glasses on the table but manages to locate them eventually. After putting them on, looks at her reflection again which appears on the screen. She gasps in amazement as she sees her real face for the first time in a long while. Overwhelmed with joy, she screams out loud, unable to contain her excitement.
Just then, a nurse walked into the room, her surprise evident at seeing Emily awake. The nurse couldn't contain her amazement as she said, "Ms. Emily, you have awakened from the coma! How can this be possible?"
Inquisitive and confused, Emily asked, "Who brought me here?"
The nurse explained, "A man was there when you fell from your office building. He brought you here. Your head was severely damaged by the collision. You could have died, but thanks to the man who brought you here at the right time, you were saved. You were in a coma for three weeks, and the doctor had just yesterday announced that you would die in two days if you did not come out of the coma. You are alive now. It's a miracle."
Emily was curious if the nurse had informed her aunt about her condition. "Did you inform my aunt about this?" she asked.
The nurse replied, "Yes, we did. She just left the room a few hours ago. Even the doctor told her that you would not live more than two days, but she had faith that you would wake up from the coma."
As Emily heard about her aunt's faith, her eyes filled with tears. She was grateful to be alive. "Thanks for telling me the whole story," Emily said.
The nurse gave her a warm smile and said, "No problem, dear." She then stepped out of the room to inform the doctor about Emily's condition.
As she walked past another room, the nurse noticed a young man had sat up on the bed. Her surprise was evident as she exclaimed, "Mr. Noah! You have also awakened from the coma!"
Confused, Noah asked, "What do you mean by 'also'?"
The nurse quickly replied, "Nothing," hoping to divert his attention.
Noah, eager to know more, asked the nurse who had brought him to the hospital and if she had seen his friend Samuel.
The nurse's expression changed as she explained, "Two villagers from Lumina Hills brought you and your friend here from the forest. They found you both unconscious with severe head injuries. Sadly, your friend passed away a week later. The doctors thought you might die at any moment, but now you are alive."
Noah couldn't hold back his tears as he learned that his best friend was not alive anymore.
The nurse further said, "We have informed your mother about you. She may come here again today." Then the nurse left the room and went away.
Noah wept and said to himself, "I have to find Emily, but how? Her face may be different in this world."
After Two Days Later,
Emily's hospital stay had finally come to an end, and her aunt was there to take her home. As they walked down the hospital corridor, Emily's aunt suggested that she come to stay with her for a while. Her cousin, she said, would love to have her over.
Emily hesitated. "Are you sure they won't mind?" she asked. "I mean, they kind of hate me."
Her aunt reassured her with a chuckle. "Don't worry, dear. If anyone tries to give you trouble, I'll take care of it."
Emily reluctantly agreed to stay with her aunt for two weeks, and her aunt smiled in response. "As always, no one can win an argument with you," she said.
Finally, they made their way out of the hospital and into the sunshine. Emily's aunt went to fetch the car, leaving Emily to wait outside with just her handbag for company. As she stood there, she couldn't help but feel a little nervous about what was to come. But she was also grateful for her aunt's support and eager to start the next chapter of her life.
As Emily stood there, lost in her thoughts, suddenly a small cat passed by her so fast that it made her jump in surprise. In her fear, she quickly stepped back and stumbled into a man who was walking behind her. The collision was so hard that her handbag dropped on the ground, and her phone and driving license came out of it.
Feeling flustered and embarrassed, Emily hastily apologized to the man. As she looked up at him, she saw a handsome young man standing there. His face was chiselled to perfection, like that of a famous actor. Emily couldn't help but notice how attractive he was.
The man kindly replied, "No problem," and immediately bent down to help her pick up her things. Emily also bent down to pick up her belongings, feeling grateful for his help. As the man was picking up Emily's items, he stumbled upon her driving license and read her name on it, "Emily Walton?"
He quickly looked up at her and asked, "Are you Emily Walton?"
Emily was surprised by the question and replied, "Yes, but I'm not famous, so I don't know why you know my name."
The man cleared his throat and said, "Were you the one who had reincarnated in the novel 'A Silent Killer of the Motel,' and your character's name was Evelyn?"
Emily's eyes widened in shock as she exclaimed, "Are..are you Noah?"
The man smiled and replied, "Yes, I am Noah."
Feeling a sudden rush of excitement, Noah gently held Emily's hands and asked, "Will you be my girlfriend?"
Without a moment's hesitation, Emily replied, "Yes!"
