Chapter 6
~Y/N POV~
"Favourite colour? Mines purple."
"White. Favourite food? I love beef. Anything with beef and I'll eat it." Hanuel
"Strawberry ice cream. Favourite animal. I think baby chicks are cute!"
"Ha! Okay then. Baby elephants are cute. I adopted one once when I was nine. Its the one thing my father let me send money too for a good cause." Hanuel
"Awe. Did it have a name?"
I asked him now completely going off topic from our 'getting to know each other game'.
"Yeah. Her name was tilly and she was adorable. I had her picture pinned on my bedroom wall next to my bed." Hanuel
Laughing at the image I put in my head. I drank some water before eyeing him still sitting next to me. It's next day down. Day number nine. And Hanuel is still sitting beside me. I did fall asleep at one point while we were talking but when I woke up I was using his lap as a pillow. But he didn't seem to mind he was asleep sitting upright against the wall.
"What's so funny?" Hanuel
"Nothing. I just cant imagine a man like you so soft over things like baby elephants."
He scoffed at me as he picked up his own metal cup to raise to his lips.
"I was very soft as a child. It's just certain things in life made me change." Hanuel
I dropped my smile when my thoughts raced to his father and the things he's mentioned about him so far.
"Your Dad?"
He nods while drinking his water from his cup.
He opened his mouth to speak and that's when the door banged open for the first time in nine days. I gasped and shuffled closer to Hanuels side. He remained still and didn't move apart from place his tray to the side of him and watched the two guards march into the room.
It's the same two as the last time and they're both of the same height roughly but one is possibly a little more taller than the other. The slightly taller of the two aimed his sights on me but stood directly in front of Hanuel.
"You. Lex needs to speak to you."
I sqeaked and pressed more into Hanuel as if he could protect me some how and the second guard with his blank expression reached for me but his hand was slapped away by Hanuel.
"Don't touch her!" Hanuel
The guard that had his hand slapped glared towards Hanuel but reached for me again. Hanuel made movements towards him but he taller guard grabbed Hanuel twisted his body in front of him and placed him in a chock hold so fast that I was picked up and tossed over the shoulder of the second guard.
Hanuel and I locked eyes on my way out and I thumped my fists into the guards back and kicked my legs. Hanuel tossed against the choke hold, kicking his legs and flailing his body around to attempt to get out of it.
"BRING HER B-BACK!!" Hanuel
Rounding the corner and exiting the cell I slammed my fists into the guards back repeatedly. Even if it didn't faze him. He kept walking down the long corridor which was dull grey in colour but there were windows, small square windows.
The man stopped at the end and I heard a swipe of a card before a beep and he continued to walk again. The flooring changed from grey concrete to wooden flooring and there was more warmth that washed over my body. Even the air smelled cleaner and lighter than that cell.
Before I knew it the guard turned a corner with me still kicking and hitting him. Yelling at him to put me down, he did not until he entered another room and dropped me off his shoulder. I yelped when he abruptly dropped me to my feet without warning and I slapped him across the face.
"You asshole! A little warning next time!! In fact better yet take me back!! Or even better let me go!! I want to go home!! Hanuel wants to go home!! Do your fucking job and listen to what you're told like a good little bitch boy!!"
I poked at his chest angrily and he glares me down but gritting his teeth together. The fact he doesn't respond back or react in any other way than he does now pisses me off. But then he turns his head to the side and looks to somewhere in the room.
"Can I not just put a bullet in her head and be done with it?"
A laugh came from the side of the room and I immediately regonise it. My head whipped aroudn to face that direction so fast I almost stumbled over my own feet when I saw Lex sitting behind that big wooden desk.
Again he was wearing his designer suit and hair slicked back like last time. But his fingers were entwined in front of him and his elbows rested on the desk.
"No. I need to have a word with her. You can leave us." Lex
The guard grumbles words I cant make out before leaving us alone in the room. My eyes didn't leave Lex since I first spotted him. I don't trust this man and now I'm alone in here with him. From what I can make out we're in his office but for reasons I don't know and I don't like it.
What if this is a plot to get me out the way for them to do something to Hanuel?
I may not be of much help to him but if that were to happen again in front of me after getting to know him so much better than I would try my hardest to help him out.
"This isn't some kind of ploy to get me out the cell so you can have you buddies beat Hanuel again is it?"
My arms crossed over my chest and yet Lex raised a single brow and cocked his head to the side. Even so much as to smirk at me.
"No. But it's interesting you seem to care about him so much already? Why is that?" Lex
The conversation where Hanuel told me Lex would kill me if he knew Hanuel and I have gotten close came flooding to my mind. So I had to think of something quick.
"Well when two people are in the same boat like this then you tend to start to care about that persons wellbeing. Especially after the condition you left him in the last time we were separated."
Lex stares at me for several moment before he nods and leans back in his large brown leather chair and kicks up his feet to his desk.
"That is true I suppose. But I do not need my captors getting close. You already have limited time here and it's running out." Hanuel
I scoffed at him and dropped my hands to my sides.
"Really? Then why not kill me now then?"
Lex chuckles and stands up from the desk and walks around it. He stops in front and sits on the edge and pins his hands to the desk and smirks at me.
"I may seek vengeance from the both of you and have my reasons to kill you both but I do have a boss I must listen to. His needs for the both of you are greater than mine and if I don't want my head on a stick then I must listen to his demands. Understood?" Lex
There's someone else that has a problem with Hanuel and I now?
Does Hanuel know about this?
I'll have to ask him when I get back.
"Yes I understand."
I finally told him after coming back to my thoughts.
"Good. Now you may go. See yourself out. My guard will be at the door waiting for you." Lex
My jaw dropped at him but my feet were rooted to the floor even with the desperation I have to get out of here.
"You seriously brought me here for no reason?"
He chuckles and pushes off the desk, stuffing his hands into his pockets and walks towards me before stopping at arms reach.
"It was for a good reason. I mean I missed your beautiful face." Lex
He reached out and stroked my cheek with the back of his head but I pushed it away and stromed out the office. Ignoring his laughs.
Just like he said the guard that took me here was waiting outside. The moment he laid eyes on me he moved towards me so fast he picked me up and tossed me back over his shoulder. I slapped his back just once this time but didn't fight him when he started to take me back to where I came from.
I just hope Hanuel is okay.
